This product must be secured with a miniature circuit breaker (MCB) of max. 16 A (wiring 2.5 mm²) or 20 A (wiring 2.5mm²) in the electrical cabinet. The MCB rating is limited by national installation rules.

Zigbee® network

Network setup
Follow the Zigbee® network setup advice (see image on the right) to guarantee the meshing of the devices before you install the switch on the wall.

Stand-alone use

In an installation without a wireless smart hub (552-00001) or wireless bridge (550-00640), you can use the connected socket outlet to switch the plugged in device on and off.

Connected to a third-party Zigbee® network
Niko connected Zigbee® devices behave like standard Zigbee® devices in third- party networks that allow this operation. Consult the manufacturer’s manual for more information on the possibility to use third-party Zigbee® devices in their network.
Niko Zigbee® devices connected to another controller/gateway will not mesh in the Niko Home Control Zigbee® network and specific Niko Home Control functions will not be available.The Niko device will only control its own contact and share standard measurement values with the third-party Zigbee® network.

How to connect the Niko device to a third-party Zigbee® network

  1.  If the Niko Zigbee® device was already connected to another network, you will need to reset it before you can connect it to another network. See § Reset
  2. Follow the third-party onboarding procedure to add new Zigbee® devices to the third-party Zigbee® network
  3. Set the Niko device in pairing mode (see ‘Image 2’)

The installation of products that will permanently be part of the electrical installation and which include dangerous voltages, should be carried out by a qualified installer and in accordance with the applicable regulations. This user manual must be presented to the user. It should be included in the electrical installation file and it should be passed on to any new owners.
