Thank you for purchasing the Soho PureHome Compact Air Purifier. Our 3-stage purification system detects, captures, and extracts 99.97% of harmful, airborne impurities and delivers clean air, silently. We hope you enjoy the health and well-being benefits of pure, crisp air being circulated through your home. We will refer to the SOHO PureHome Compact Air Purifier as the SO-65 Air Purifier, the ‘appliance’ or ‘the unit’, throughout the remainder of this manual.

IMPORTANT SAFETY AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU USE THE SO-65 AIR PURIFIER AND KEEP IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
FOR YOUR SAFETY, STRICTLY OPERATE THE APPLIANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS MANUAL.
BEFORE YOU START

  1. Please remove and responsibly dispose of all packaging materials from the unit. This includes the plastic packaging covering the filter inside the unit which you must remove before using this appliance for the first time.

  2. DO NOT use the appliance without the filter.

  3. DO NOT remove the power supply cord from the power socket by pulling the cord. Grip the plug to remove it from the power socket.

  4. DO NOT remove the power supply cord and power plug from the power socket with a wet hand.

  5. Turn off the power and unplug this appliance from the power socket before moving the SO-65 Air Purifier, changing the filter, prior to cleaning, during storms, or before long periods of unuse.

  6. DO NOT twist, kink, or wrap the cord around the appliance to avoid weakening its insulation.

  7. Connect the power adaptor to a 220-240V~ 50Hz power outlet in accordance with the rating label. Insert the power plug into the socket all the way to the base.

  8. This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  9. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  10. If the power supply cord is damaged, please stop using the unit. Any repairs must be completed by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Otherwise, the appliance must be disposed of.

  11. Keep the appliance away from fire, heat sources, flammable gas, combustible vapors, and corrosive substances.

  12. This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.

  13. DO NOT use outdoors. For indoor use only.

  14. DO NOT immerse the SO-65 Air Purifier in water or other liquids.

  15. DO NOT use the SO-65 Air Purifier anywhere that is wet and very humid such as the bathroom.

  16. DO NOT operate the SO-65 Air Purifier’s control panel with wet hands.

  17. DO NOT use the SO-65 Air Purifier in greasy environments such as in the kitchen. The product is not intended to filter oil or grease from the air and is not a substitute
    for a vacuum cleaner, ventilation fan, or range hood.

  18. DO NOT sit, stand or place heavy objects on the appliance. DO NOT insert fingers or other objects into the air inlets, air outlet, and other openings.

  19. STOP using this appliance if you detect unusual noises or burning odours.

  20. DO NOT block or cover the air inlets or outlets with laundry, clothes, curtains, etc.

  21. DO NOT run power supply cords under your carpet. DO NOT cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Keep the cord away from high-traffic
    areas so it is less likely to be tripped over.

  22. The SO-65 Air Purifier can be placed on the floor or on a dry, stable, level surface at least 30cm away from walls, curtains, or other appliances.

  23. DO NOT place the appliance directly below an air conditioner. This will ensure air condensation does not drip into the appliance.

  24. DO NOT use the appliance after the unit has been dropped or damaged in any manner.

  25. Keep the appliance and filters clean.

  26. DO NOT let the power supply cord hang over the edge of a bench or table, touch hot surfaces, or become tangled.

  27. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions of this appliance. The inside of the unit contains no user-serviceable parts.

  28. DO NOT use this unit with any solid-state speed control device.

FEATURES OF YOUR SO-65 AIR PURIFIER

Your SOHO PureHome Compact Air Purifier improves indoor air quality using a 3-Stage Purification system.
1. A Pre-Filter captures larger particles like hair, lint, pet dander, and household dust.
2. A HEPA Filter captures and reduces up to 99.97% of airborne particles, mold, pollen, and other allergens down to 0.3 microns.
3. An Active Carbon Filter removes household odors and noxious gases.

FILTER RESET INDICATOR
The Filter Reset Indicator will flash when the filter needs replacement. When flashes, replace the filter and then reset the indicator by tapping and holding them for 5 seconds.
CHILD LOCK
Turn on Child Lock mode to stop unintentional change of functions by screen touch.
FAN SPEED
There are 3 fan speeds options (Low Medium High ).
NIGHT LIGHT
The ambience lighting can be switched off and on.

UNPACKING & INSTALLING THE FILTER

Grasp the base handle and rotate it clockwise to remove the base.|  Remove the filter from the body.| Unpack the filter from a plastic bag.

The filter is consumable and will require replacement periodically. Please check that the filter is in good condition before removing the protective bag.
INSTALL THE FILTER

  1.  Install the filter with the side with the drawstring facing outward.
  2. Install the base by holding the handle and rotating it anticlockwise to tighten the base.Check that the triangle marks are lined up accordingly.

DO NOT OPERATE THE SO-65 AIR PURIFIER WITHOUT THE FILTER BEING INSTALLED INSIDE THE UNIT.

POWER CONNECTION
Insert the power plug into a power socket all the way to the base. There will be a beep sound when the button is pressed on the control panel.

  1. Leave enough circulation space at least 30cm around the unit and 100cm above the top surface.
  2. Place the SO-65 Air Purifier on a stable and level surface.
  3. Close your doors and windows.
  4. Turn on and run the unit at its maximum speed for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Open windows regularly for ventilation.

CONTROL PANEL & FUNCTIONS

OPERATING YOUR SO-65 AIR PURIFIER

STARTING UP

| •Plug the power plug into a power socket. Once power is switched on, the control panel momentarily lights up.
•Press the button to switch the purifier off or on.
OFF = Device in standby mode
ON = Device in working mode
LOCK
| •Whilst in working mode, press and hold the button for 3 seconds to toggle the (Child) Lock function on or off. The button lights up when Lock mode is turned on.
PURIFICATION SPEED
| •Whilst in working mode, press the button to change the fan speed in the order of Low Medium High
•The speed indicator corresponding to Low Speed, Medium Speed, and High Speed lights up accordingly when each speed is activated.
LIGHT
| •Whilst in working mode, press the button to turn the night light off or on. Two brightness levels are available when the light is on.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL FILTER RESETTING
| •Once reset, an internal time counter keeps track of the cumulative time the filter has been in use. The timer reminds you when the useful life of the filter is up and the filter requires a replacement. The useful life of the filter is calculated based on a simulation test in the laboratory. The actual useful life of a filter may vary depending on its operating environment. When the purification strength becomes less effective, please replace the filter in advance.
•When the flashes, install a new filter then press and hold the button for 5 seconds until you hear a beep sound. The indicator stops flashing.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE WARNING!

  • The power plug must be unplugged and the power connection must be disconnected before maintenance.
  • Do not operate the appliance while removing the filter. Without its filter, the unit loses dust removal ability and dust may cause a sensor fault.

Wipe the appliance body and control panel with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, wipe with a damp cloth then immediately dry the appliance. Ensure there is no residual water on the plug surface. For storage, leave the unit covered to protect it from dust. Store the unit in a cool, dry location.
DO NOT use a cloth with a hard texture to wipe the appliance or it will cause damage to the surface. DO NOT use cleaning powder, alkaline detergent thinner, bleaching agent, alcohol, gasoline, and other solvents to clean the appliance body.
Please check and regularly clean the filter by vacuuming it or brushing it lightly. The filter is a consumable component and must be replaced when it is due for replacement. The filter must not be washed with water.

FREQUENCY OF FILTER REPLACEMENT

  • Please replace the filter when the filter indicator light flickers. The filter life is approximately 6 months based on 8 hours of daily use or 4 months based on 12 hours of daily use. The useful life of the filter may vary depending on environmental conditions.
  • If your operating environment is heavily polluted, the life period of the filter will be shortened.

FILTER RESET INDICATOR

  • After installing a new filter, remember to reset the filter counter on the control panel following the instructions under “Installing the Filter” on page 8. After resetting the filter, the reset indicator light will switch off.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The problems that you may encounter when using the appliance are listed below. If you are unable to solve the problem according to following information, please contact customer care.

PROBLEM POSSIBLE SOLUTION
The filter indicator light continues to flicker and does not disappear • You

have neglected the prompt for replacing the filter.When the replace filter indicator light starts flickering, you should replace the filter. You must replace the filter and perform a filter indicator reset. After resetting, the indicator light will turn off.
There is no air at the air outlet| • The product is not connected to the power. Ensure the plug is fully inserted into power a socket before turning on power.
The product has been operating for a long time, but the air quality has not improved significantly| • A filter may not be installed in the product, please check the filter is correctly installed.
• The indoor humidity is too high, which has formed condensation. Please do not place the product in places with high humidity, such as a bathroom or toilet.
• There may be a barrier surrounding the product, which has affected the purification effect.
• The room area is too large for the purification power of the purifier. The recommended room area of this product is 8.5m 2
The sound is too loud| • Before operating, please make sure that the packing plastic bag of the filter has been removed.
Pollutants in the air are hard to remove| • Please check whether the HEPA filter is dirty. Please replace the filter if the condition does not improve after a filter maintenance cleaning.
The smell in the air is hard to remove| • If the appliance has been in prolonged use where there is a strong presence of heavy odors, please replace the filter and keep ventilating the space.

WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Directed Electronics Australia Pty Ltd (Directed Electronics) warrants that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase or for the period stated on the packaging. This warranty is only valid where you have used the product in accordance with any recommendations or instructions provided by Directed Electronics.
This warranty excludes defects resulting from alterations of the product, accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect. In order to claim the warranty, you must return the product to the retailer from which it was purchased or if that retailer is part of a national network, a store within that chain, along with satisfactory proof of purchase. The retailer will then return the goods to Directed Electronics.
Directed Electronics will repair, replace or refurbish the product at its discretion. The retailer will contact you when the product is ready for collection. All costs involved in claiming this warranty, including the cost of the retailer sending the product to Directed Electronics, will be borne by you.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Soho from and against any and all claims, proceedings, injuries, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees), including but not limited to, claims alleging negligence, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement and/or trademark infringement against Soho services, relating to or arising out of your breach of any provision of these terms, your misuse of the Soho services, or your unauthorized modification or alteration of products or software.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER

Soho has a limited warranty whereby Soho warrants to you and only to you that Soho products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from
the date of your purchase of the Soho products (unless a longer warranty period is required by law).

Soho also assumes no responsibility for and shall not be liable for any damages caused by misuse of the product or failure to follow the instructions provided. Other than the above product warranty for the Soho products, Soho and its suppliers disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, regarding the Soho equipment. Including any implied warranty of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non- infringement of third-party rights. Because some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of implied warranties, the last sentence of this section may not apply to you. Soho hereby further expressly disclaims all liability for any claims for service failures that are due to normal product wear, product misuse, abuse, product modification, improper product selection, or your non- compliance with any and all applicable federal, state, or local laws. This warranty and warranty disclaimer gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state, province, or country. Other than as permitted by law, Soho does not exclude, limit or suspend other rights you have, including those that may arise from the nonconformity of a sales contract. For a full understanding of your rights, you should consult the laws of your state, province, or country. For our Australian customers: please note that this warranty is in addition to any statutory rights in Australia in relation to your goods which, pursuant to the Australian Consumer Law, cannot be excluded.

LIMITATIONS & LIABILITY

Soho’s liability for damages, especially for breach of duty or obligation, delay in performance, non-performance, or mal performance shall be precluded, except when these are due to negligent breaches of any significant contractual duty or obligation on the part of Soho. Any liability for negligence is limited to direct losses usually and typically foreseeable in such cases. Should the claim for damages be based on a wilful or grossly negligent breach of contractual duty or obligation on the part of Soho, the preclusion and limitation of liability mentioned in the preceding sentences will not apply. The preceding preclusion and limitation of liability will also not apply to claims for damages arising out of loss of life, bodily injury, or health impacts for which Soho may be liable, or for non-contractual liability.
Some states and countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
Additionally, this provision is not intended to limit Soho’s liability in the event of Soho’s willful or intentional misconduct.
