SIGNING INTO THE APP:

Create an account or sign in to an existing account using your email address. Review the privacy statement and follow the prompts to complete your sign-in.

CREATE HOME:

Add a Home name and location. Go to the “Me” tab at the bottom of the screen. Then tap on “Home Management”. Tap on “My Home” and enter a home name, and location, and add or remove any rooms. When finished press Save.
NOTE: These settings can be updated at any time.

ADDING A DEVICE:

The simple 5-steps process to Add A Smart Device(s).

  1. After the device is installed, ensure that the device is turned on and illuminated.
  2. Open the CleanLife Smart APP and tap “Add device” or the “+” in the top right corner.
  3. Select your smart product from the list of devices or use “Auto-scan” to find your device.
  4. Put the device in pairing mode. Refer to step 5 on how to put your device in pairing mode.
  5. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi network password and then tap “Next”. Confirm your device is rapidly flashing and then tap “Next”.

PAIRING DEVICE:

How To Pair Your Smart Device:

Turn the light on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off (6 times) until the light is rapidly flashing. Make sure the switching interval does not exceed 10 seconds in-between each on/off.

Note:

  1. In order to control your smart device, first, connect it to WiFi. To connect to WiFi make sure the light is rapidly flashing and the WiFi password entered during setup is correct.
    *The connection process may take several minutes, so please be patient
  2. Once your device has been connected to WiFi and the setup is complete, you can control it remotely from any location where you have internet access. It is not necessary to be connected to some network in order to control your device.

CONTROLLING YOUR DEVICE:

After the device has been successfully set up, tap the “Home” icon in the bottom menu bar. Your connected devices will show up on the “Home” page. Tap it to enter the control panel of the smart device.

  1. Tunable White (CCT) Control: Adjust \Mite colors and brightness of the night.

  2. Color (RGB) Control: Adjust color(RGB), brightness, saturation of the light

  3. Scene Control: The device comes with 7 pre-loaded scenes; “Twilight” (A warm light that helps you fall asleep)
    “Reading” (A warm light that helps you concentrate)
    “Focus” (A neutral light that helps you stay on task)
    “Leisure” (Helps you relax)
    “Color Cycle” (Fades through a handful of colors)
    “RGB” (Jumps between Red, Blue, and Green)
    “Soft” (Provides a nice traditional light white color)You also have the option of creating your own scene in addition to all the pre-loaded scenes.

  4. Schedules: Set a schedule to have your light turn on/off, change whites or colors, and brightness at desired times.

  5. Create Groups: If you have two or more devices that you would like to control at the same time, tap the “…” in the top right-hand corner of the light control panel and then tap “Create Group”. Once the group is created you will be able to control all of the devices in the group at the same time.
    • Tunable White (CCT)
    You can change the device from warm white to daylight in seconds.
    • Color (RGB) Choose from Over 16 Million Colors _
    _Choose from any color in the rainbow within seconds. Adjust the brightness and saturation to suit your mood.
    • Scenes
    Choose from a variety of pre-loaded scenes or create your own. You can create a scene for movie night, a party scene with colorful light, or even a candlelight scene with warm, low lighting.
    • Create Schedules/Routines
    Set schedules/routines based on your preferences and daily needs. You can choose to have your schedule repeated on multiple days or just one day or not repeat at all. The schedule can change brightness and color and a variety of other options.
    • Music Sync
    Choose Music to have your device change color to the beat of the music playing from your speakers.

VOICE CONTROL USING THE CLEANLIFE SMART APP:

Tap the “microphone” icon in the top right-hand corner of the App to control your device using your voice. Please see below examples of commands you can use after pressing the microphone icon. Use the device name to complete the command

  • Turn On/Off
    “Turn on device name
    “Turn off *device name”

  • Change brightness
    “Change device name brightness to 90%”

  • Change Color
    “Change device name to blue”

SMART ASSISTANT INTEGRATION:

Amazon Alexa Integration

  1. In the Alexa App Tap “More”, then tap “Skills and Games”
  2. Tap the search icon in the top right-hand corner
  3. Search for “CleanLife Smart”
  4. Tap “ENABLE TO USE”
  5. Log in with your “CleanLife Smart Account”
  6. Tap “Authorize”
  7. Tap “Close”
  8. Tell Alexa or Echo to discover devices.
  9. Once the discover devices process is completed you will be able to control your lighting with Alexa.

Example Alexa Assistant Commands:
“Alexa(or Echo)” – turn on the living room light
“Alexa (or Echo)” – turn off the living room light
“Alexa(or Echo)” – set living room light to 50 percent
“Alexa(or Echo)” – increase living room light to 100 percent
“Alexa(or Echo)” – decrease living room light to 10 percent

Google Home Integration

  1. In the Google Home App Tap “+” icon in the top left-hand corner.
  2. Tap “Set up device”
  3. Tap “Works with Google”
  4. Tap the “Search” icon in the top right corner
  5. Search for “CleanLife Smart”
  6. Go to the “CleanLife Smart App”
  7. Tap “Me” in the bottom left
  8. Tap on “Google Assistant” under Third-Party Voice services
  9. Tap “Get” to retrieve your verification code
  10. Copy the code
  11. Paste the code in the Google Home App
  12. Tap “Authorize”
  13. Your account will be linked and the Google Home app will prompt you with devices that can be added.

*NOTE: You can only add one device at a time but the app will keep prompting you until you have either added them all or you don’t want to add any more.

Example Google Assistant Commands:
“Hey Google” – turn on the kitchen light
“Hey Google” – turn off the kitchen light
“Hey Google” – set kitchen light to 50 percent
“Hey Google” – increase kitchen light to 100 percent
“Hey Google” – decrease kitchen light to 10 percent

ME SETTINGS:

Profile Settings:
At the top are your profile settings. If you tap on this you can change your photo, nickname, and time zone.

Home Management Settings:
Tap on “Home Management” to set your home name, Manage your rooms, change your home location, and add members to your home so they can control shared devices from their own account/App.

  • Tap on “Add Member” and then select your preferred method of adding this member. The suggested method of adding a user is to make their own account. Tap on “App Account” and then enter their name and email address.
  • Make sure to select the “Family Role”. If you select “Administrator” they will have full access to everything including settings and adding and removing devices. If you choose “Common Member” they will only have access to use the device(s) and some smart settings.

Message Center:
Message Center is where you get notifications like account activity or if there is a software update for a device.

Feedback and Suggestions:
Use this section if you’re having an issue with your light or have a suggestion for improvements.

SMART:

Smart Settings:

  1. Cleanline A19 9W Smart LED Bulb - smart Automation Tab:
    Navigate to the “Smart” Tab. In the Smart tab, you will be able to set up automation like having your lights change when the weather changes, or schedule when your device(s) to turn on or off.

  2. Tap-to-Run Tab:
    Tap-to-Run allows for the same features as automation but the user will tap it in order for it to take effect. In other words, it does not take effect until the user interacts with it.

NOTES:

  1. If the device(s) is power cycled or the device loses power once the device has power again it will need a few minutes to reconnect to the WiFi.
  2. The devices only support a 2.4GHz WiFi network. 5GHz WiFi networks are not supported for connecting smart devices.
  3. Please make sure you’re using an iOS 9.0 and above or Android 5.0 and above.
  4. If the devices are too close to each other they may cause signal interference.
