Introduction

The Boss CXX8 subwoofer is a powerful and compact 8-inch car subwoofer. The cone of the subwoofer is made of polypropylene. The subwoofer provides a resilient and durable material. The subwoofer is long lasting while providing great quality of sound. The boss CXX8 speakers feature rubber surround which has the ability to endure much more rough usage without getting damaged easily. This adds to the strong and tough design of the subwoofer. Another important feature of the subwoofer is that it features a stamped basket which has the ability to absorb and transfer most of the energy produced by the sound. The subwoofer has high thermal and electrical conductivity with a good level of resistance against corrosion. The speaker coils are light weight and feature long play time. The strength of the speaker due to their material is retained even at higher temperatures.

The CXX8 subwoofer has the ability of handling a maximum of 600 watts peak power. The subwoofer can be places in a cut out having a diameter 7-1/7 inches. The impedance of the subwoofer is 4 ohms. It features a single copper voice coil of 1.5”.

The CXX8 is designed to work in a medium-sized sealed or ported enclosure. Since the woofer has a pole-vent, it needs a minimum clearance from the rear wall of the enclosure of 0.75 (19 mm). Be­low you will find the dimensions to make the enclosure to suit the subwoofer’s needs, it has been designed for maximum output while retaining great sound quality. The dimensions have already accounted for the volume displacement of the subwoofer and using 3/4 (19mm) MDF. All dimensions are external.
