Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can this be operated by a battery(ies) as well?
YES, that’s the only mode I’ve operated mine in since I got it. I’ve not used the AC Power yet.

  • How good is FM reception?
It is good. I suppose it depends on the area you live in. I gave this radio to my 90 yr old mother and she is thrilled with it. In her area, Central New Jersey, she gets a good reception from FM stations in NY, Phil, and Princeton.

  • Is this really the size 22.8 x 7.8 x 10.8 inches as listed in the description? I just do not seem to be accurate looking at the picture?
I think you should read those dimensions a bit more carefully. It doesn’t state the 22.8×7.8×10.8 dimensions are in inches. In fact, that is the approx. dimensions in centimetres. The dimensions in inches is listed further down the page and is 3.23 x 9.21 x 4.8 inches.

  • Can this radio be used as a tabletop radio? Does the handle go down & back?
Yes, the handle can be moved up and down and can be used as a tabletop radio.

  • How loud is it? i like to listen to fm radio while in the shower, with the radio on the counter. is it loud enough for that?
I believe it is loud enough for the shower. I use it at the office so I need it fairly low, but I increased the volume to test and my coworkers complained it was very loud.
