INSERTING THE BATTERY

HOW TO OPERATE

1. Power On(Press the Power/ Measurement Button)
2. Select the targeting mode(By pressing the Mode Button)
3. Align the crosshairs with the target
4. Press the Power /Measurement Button
   • Focus Square will appear to start measuring the distance

CHANGING THE UNIT OF MEASUREMENT

• To change the unit of measurement, hold down the MODE button for 3 seconds to alternate from Meter to Yard and vice versa

SLOPE ON/OFF

• Press and hold the MODE button for 5 seconds to turn the Slope feature on/off

Slope Function

[Slope ON] The slope-adjusted distance is displayed on the top of the screen Straight-line distance is displayed at the bottom of the screen first and height difference(+/-) is displayed as ‘H: Number’ after2 seconds.  [Slope OFF] The non-slope distance is displayed on the top of the screen.  Other slope features will disappear.

Mode Setting [2 Modes]

• With the click of Mode Button, the mode changes in the following order : Standard➔ Scan➔ Standard.
• Mode can be changed only when the targeting crosshair is on display. (Mode change unavailable when the focus square is active).

[Standard Mode and Pin Finder Mode]

• Press the Power/ Measurement button to display the distance along with vibration.
• Press and hold the Power /Measurement button for2-3 seconds to activate Pin finder mode.
• Pin finder mode is used to display the closest target when two or more targets are found, even if there are any other objects such as tree or rocks behind the pin.
  • Press the Power /Measurement button once against an object behind the pin (tree), then move towards the pin. Once the pin is found the distance will be displayed and you will feel a slight vibration

[Scan Mode]

• Useful when acquiring distances of various targets.
• Press the Power/ Measurement Button once to continuously scan for 5 seconds to show the distance to varying targets(l-CLICK SCAN).
  • In Scan Mode, the device will start measuring the distance once the Power/ Measurement button is clicked.
  • The button does not need to be clicked more than once.

SAFETY WARNING, CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Please read the manual guide carefully before using the device.

• Do NOT aim directly at the sun or an eye(as it may cause eyesight loss).
• Do NOT turn the device on while looking into the laser aperture or objective lens (as it may cause eyesignt loss).
• Golf Rangefinders may fail to measure the distance when the target is measured through glass.
• Do not leave the device in direct sunlight for a long period of time, as it may cause damage on the unit.
• Keep the device away from children.
• If any type of liquid of substance gets on the device, use the cloth in the package to remove it immediately.
• Keep the device away from heavy rain or water as the device only features basic water resistance level.
• Do NOT disassemble the device arbitrarily as this will void the warranty.
• Any defect caused by the customer is not eligible for free repair service.

AwARNING
GOLFBUDDY is not liable for damages caused by user misuse. (Warranty is void even if it is still in effect.) 

The unit does not turn on

• Make sure the battery polarity (+/-) is correct.
• Check the remaining battery level.
• Check the Power/Measurement button.

If distances cannot be obtained

• Make sure the setting of mode: Standard/Scan.
• Make sure whether there is any substances(Especially hands or fingers) blocking the lens.
• Adjust the focus such that the target can be seen clearly.
• Affected by dark or moving targets, reflective surfaces, small, glass transmissive, backlit and weather(fog, rain, etc.)
• Unable to measure distance below 2 or over 880 yards.

The display view is not clear

• Make adjustments to the display using the diopter dial.
• Check the battery charging level.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Warranty Period
GOLFBUDDY products come with a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal consumer use for a period of two (2) years (Limited Warranty”). The Limited Warranty begins to run from the date of original retail purchase. GOLFBUDDY, at its sole and absolute discretion, shall either (i) replace or repair the defective part(s) or the unit with a new or reconditioned part(s), or (ii) issue a credit for the parts or products that are covered under the Limited Warranty.

Eligibility
This Limited Warranty is applicable only to the original authorized purchasers who purchase the products for resale and/ or end users of the products. All authorized distributors shall provide its customers a copy of this Limited Warranty and communicate any and all waivers and limitations contained in this Limited Warranty. No unauthorized modifications to or unauthorized representations made by distributors will be valid or honored. The purchaser must present the original purchase receipt showing the date of purchase, place of purchase, and amount paid for the product in question, at the time a warranty claim is filed. The product must be in its original packaging along with all associated accessories and instruction manuals.

Warranty Claim Procedures
To obtain warrnaty repair service, you must contact GOLFBUDDY technical support at cs@golfbuddyglobal.com or visit help.golfbuddyglobal.com and obtain a Return Authorization Number. All returned products must be accompanied by an original purchase receipt and the Return Authorization Number. Any products that are returned without the requisite information shall be returned at the purchaser’s cost and expense.

Warranty Exclusions
Except against defects in material and workmanship and as expressly warranted by GOLFBUDDY, GOLFBUDDY Disclaims all warranties, express and implied, applicable to products, including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and any warranty that any products is delivered free of claims of third parties by way of infringement or the like. GOLFBUDDY disclaims all express and implied warranties applicable.
To products accessories and products which are not manufactured by GOLF BUDDY. GOLF BUDDY further disclaims all warranties applicable to products which are accepted by purchaser but are subsequently damaged as a result of the following events:

• Product purchased through the internet, other e-commerce channels, or any distributor or retailer that obtained the product from a supplier or distributor not authorized by GOLFBUDDY.
• Any and all loss or damage to the product during transit.
• Improper or non-recommended use, storage or handling of the product, use of the product with non-GOLF BUDDY components such as USB cables or charges, misuse, operation at settings other than those recommended or specified, non-compliance with instructions or guidelines set forth in the User’s Operation Manual.
• Modification or alteration of the Product in any manner, including but not limited to, removal or addition of any component or part by the purchaser or unauthorized service provider, or any accidental or intentional damage to the product.
• Any loss of software, firmware, data information, memory data contained on any products returned to GOLF BUDDY for repair or those modifications necessary due to a change in the GPS made by the U.S. government or any other governmental agencies.
• Use of product in contravention with the laws of any country•

Limitation of Warranty

GOLF BUDDY shall not, in any event, be liable for indirect, special, consequential or liquidated damages or penalties, including claims for lost revenue, profits or business opportunities, even if GOLF BUDDY had or should have had any knowledge, actual or constructive, of the possibility of such damages. GOLFBUDDY’s total liability for any claim arising hereunder shall not exceed the purchase price which the purchaser paid for the product.
