Introduction

Pen Shape Visual Fault Locator is a compact but powerful fiber optical cable test tool, with an output power of 1mW, which can be used to locate sharp bends & breaks in a jacket or bare fiber. It can also be applied to identify the connectors in patch panels and identify the fibers during the splicing operation. The choice of a continuous wave output mode for steady fault illumination or a flashing output mode makes for easier fault location.

Operation Instructions

  1. Please properly install the batteries. Switch in middle for power off, switch up for CW output, and switch down for glint output.
  2. You can choose a continuous wave output mode for steady fault illumination or a flashing output mode by pushing the switch up and down.
  3. Compact and intelligent design makes it good assistance in locating breakpoints of a fiber.

Maintenance

  1. Always vertically insert and pull out the connector of fiber. Otherwise, the ceramic tube may be broken.
  2. Do not use inferior fiber pigtail or patch cord.
  3. The connector must be well polished.
