Before using this device for the first time, please read this manual carefully, even if you know how to use this type of device. Use the device only as directed in this manual. The instructions for use must be kept. It is recommended to keep the original cardboard box, packaging materials, cash receipt, and warranty card at least during the warranty period. If the device needs to be transported (for example, when moving to a new place of residence or to be taken to a service center), pack it in the original box to protect it during transport.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read all safety instructions carefully before connecting the appliance
to the mains to avoid misuse.
Before using the appliance for the first time, make sure that the voltage
indicated on the appliance corresponds to the voltage in your home.
Improper use and careless handling of the device can lead to malfunctions and
injuries to the user. The appliance is intended for household use only. Do not
use it for industrial purposes. Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
Keep the base of the device away from water and protect it from splashes. Do
not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
If this happens, unplug the appliance immediately and have it checked by a
specialist garage before using it. Do not use the appliance if the power cord
or plug is damaged or if the appliance is damaged. In such cases, take the
device to a specialist service center for inspection. Do not let the cord hang
over sharp edges and keep it away from hot surfaces. To disconnect the
appliance from the mains, never pull on the mains cord, always pull on the
plug itself.
Place the appliance on a dry, stable surface, away from heat sources
(including cookers, etc.); do not place it under curtains and shelves. Do not
leave the appliance unattended during operation. The appliance is not intended
for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, mental or
sensory capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by
persons responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance. Do not use any base other than the one supplied with the device.
Use of accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer may result
in electric shock or injury. Never remove the device from the base during
operation.
CAUTION: Do not open the device cover while it is running. Close the lid
of the appliance thoroughly before switching it on the appliance, otherwise,
the appliance will not switch off automatically and hot water will spill over
the edges. Use the appliance only for heating water, do not heat anything else
in it. Do not attempt to repair, modify, or replace parts of the device
yourself. Take the device to the nearest service center. If the device has
been exposed to temperatures below 0ºC, it must be kept at room temperature
for at least 2 hours before use. The manufacturer reserves the right to make
minor changes to the product design without prior notice, provided that they
do not significantly affect the safety, performance, and function of the
product.
USE
Before using the appliance for the first time, or after using it for a longer
period of time, we recommend filling the kettle to the maximum watermark with
fresh tap water, boiling, and then draining the water and rinsing the
appliance. Repeat the previous garment. Your device is now ready for use.
FILLING
Remove the device from the base. You can fill the appliance with water
through the spout or by opening the lid. Do not fill the appliance with less
than 0.5L of water (less than the “MIN” mark) to avoid boiling empty, and do
not fill the appliance with more than 1.7L (more than the “MAX” mark) to avoid
water splashing during cooking.
SWITCHING ON
After filling the appliance with water, place it back on the base. Plug the
cord into an electrical outlet and press the On / Off button. The device turns
on and the activity light turns on.
SWITCHING OFF
When the water starts to boil, the appliance switches off automatically and
the indicator light goes out. NOTE: This appliance has a safety system that
will automatically switch off the heating element if the appliance is switched
on without water or boiled empty. In this case, allow the appliance to cool
down for 10 minutes before refilling with water. If the appliance has switched
off automatically, it can be switched on again after it has cooled down for
15-20 seconds.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Open the lid and pour out any remaining water. Always unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and allow the device to cool. Clean the outside and base of the kettle with a soft damp cloth, then wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials. Descale regularly
STORAGE
Switch off the appliance and unplug it; let it cool completely. Follow all instructions in the Maintenance and Cleaning section. The power cord can be wrapped around the base of the device, where it will be stored. Keep the device in a cool, dry place.
