Read these original operating instructions and the safety instructions chapter before using the device for the first time. Act in accordance with them.

Safe handling

WARNING

  • The device is not intended for use by children, persons with restricted physical, sensory or mental abilities or persons unfamiliar with these instructions.

  • Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities and persons lacking experience and knowledge may only use the appliance if they are properly supervised,  have been instructed on use of the appliance safely by a person responsible for their safety, and understand the resultant hazards involved.

  • Children must not play with the appliance.

  • Children must be supervised to prevent them from playing with the appliance.

  • Only use the device for its proper use.
    Take into account the local conditions and beware of third parties, in particular children, when working with the device.

  • Adhere to the respective safety regulations in hazard zones (e.g. service stations). Never operate the device in explosive spaces.

  • Do not spray any objects which contain harmful substances (e.g. asbestos).

  • Risk of injury. Do not direct the spray jet onto the eyes.

  • Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped beforehand, is visibly damaged, or is leaking.

  • Only operate or store the device in accordance with the description or figure.

ATTENTION

  •  Do not fill with any cleaning agents or other supplements.
  • Damage to the device. Never use the device with solvents, liquids containing solvents, or undiluted acids (e.g. detergents, petrol, paint thinner, and acetone).
  • Do not operate the device at temperatures below 0 °C.

Intended use

Only use the water booster WBS 3 in private households.
The device is intended for cleaning lightly and superficially soiled garden furniture, toys, tools, plant pots, waste containers, and garden machines. Carefully applied, the device is also suitable for watering.

The packing materials can be recycled. Please dispose of the packaging in accordance with environmental regulations.
Electrical and electronic devices contain valuable, recyclable materials and often components such as batteries, rechargeable batteries, or oil, which – if handled or disposed of incorrectly – can pose a potential danger to human health and the environment. However, these components are required for the correct operation of the device. Devices marked by this symbol are not allowed to be disposed of together with household rubbish.
Cleaning work producing in oily wastewater, e.g. washing engines, washing undercarriages, etc., may only be performed at washing stations with an oil separator.
Working with detergents may only be performed on watertight surfaces with a connection to the wastewater sewage system. Do not allow detergent to enter waterways or the soil.
Extraction of water from public waterways is not permitted in some countries.

Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery for the appliance is shown on the packaging. Check the contents for completeness when unpacking. If any accessories are missing or in the event of any shipping damage, please notify your dealer.

Safety devices are provided for your own protection.
Never modify or bypass safety devices.
Power switch
The power switch shuts off the motor when released and the spray jet stops.

Description of the device

The maximum amount of equipment is described in these operating instructions. Depending on the model used, there are differences in the scope of delivery (see packaging). For the illustrations, refer to the graphics page Illustration A

Initial startup

Insert batteries
Note

  • Use two AA 1.5 V batteries.
  • Do not use different batteries.
  • Do not short the poles.

For information on the operating time with full battery charge, see chapter Technical data.

  1. Open the battery cover. Illustration B
  2. Insert the batteries, paying attention to the correct alignment of the poles.
  3. Close the battery cover.

Connection to the water line

  1. Attach the garden hose to the device connected with a commercially available quick coupling.

  2. Connect the garden hose to the water line.

  3. Open the water tap fully.

Operation

CAUTION
Spray jet
Eye injuries and hearing damage
Do not direct the spray jet at the eyes or ears.

  1. Press the power switch.

Operation with point jet
The point jet is suitable for the precise cleaning of superficial dirt spots.

  1. Push the power switch to position 1.

Operating with the rotating spray jet
The rotating spray jet is suitable for quick cleaning of lightly soiled surfaces.

Interrupting operation

  1. Release the power switch.
    The spray jet stops.

Ending operation

  1. Release the power switch.
  2. Close the water tap.
  3. Actuate the power switch until no more water is emitted.
  4. Release the power switch.
  5. Disconnect the device from the water supply.
  6. Remove the batteries from the device.

Storage

ATTENTION
Leaking batteries
Risk of corrosion
Remove the batteries from the device.
Frost protection
ATTENTION
Danger of frost
Incompletely emptied devices can be destroyed by frost.
Empty the device completely.
Protect the device from frost.

  1. Take the device out of operation (see chapter Ending operation).

Storing the device

  1. Place the device on a level surface.
  2. Store the device within the permissible temperature range (see Chapter Technical data).

Care and service

Emptying the device
ATTENTION
Water remaining in the device
Device damage due to rust and corrosion.
Empty the device completely after each use.

  1. Take the device out of operation (see chapter Ending operation).

Replacing the batteries

  1. Remove the batteries from the device.
  2. Insert new batteries (see chapter Insert batteries).

Troubleshooting guide

Rotating spray jet does not work
Batteries empty/defective

  • Insert new batteries (see chapter Insert batteries).
  • Check the battery condition.

Warranty

The warranty conditions issued by our relevant sales company apply in all countries. We shall remedy possible malfunctions on your appliance within the warranty period free of cost, provided that a material or manufacturing defect is the cause. In a warranty case, please contact your dealer (with the purchase receipt) or the next authorized customer service site. (See overleaf for the address)
