Introduction

Thank you for choosing FIP-3102 IP phone. This guide is designed to familiarize you with the the layout of the IP Phone and describes how to deploy the IP phone in your network.FS-FIP-3102-IP-Phones-

NOTE: There is no wall stand in the accessories of FIP-3102, therefore wall stand need to buy separately.

Soft-menu Buttons

|

These four buttons provide different functions corresponding to the soft-menu displayed on the screen.

Hold Key

| Press the “Hold” key during the call, the user can hold the call, and press it again to cancel the holding and restore the normal call state.

Transfer Key

|

Press the “Transfer” button, the user can transfer the current call to other numbers.

Conference

|

Press the “Conference” button, the user can initiate a three­ party conference.

Navigate/OK Keys

| The user can press the up/down navigation key to change the line or move the cursor in the screen list. On some Settings and text editing pages, the user can press the left/right navigation key to change options or move the cursor in the screen list to the left/right.OK key: Default is equivalent to soft button confirmation, user can customize the function.

Contact Key

| Press the “Contact” key, the user can enter the address book interface and select the contact person to call.

MWI

| Press the”voice mail”button, and the user enters the interface of SMS and voice mail list.

Standard Telephone Keys

| The 12 standard telephone keys provide the same function as standard telephones, but further to the standard function, some keys also provide special function by long-pressing the key, Key# Long-pressed to lock the phone.

Line key

|

Default to line 1/line 2, support custom configuration as DSS key.

10| Headset Key| Users can press this key to open the headset channel.
11| Redial| Press the Redial key to redial the last number dialed.

Volume Up/ Down Key

| In the standby state, ring and ring configuration interface, press this button to increase/reduce the ring volume; Press this button to increase/lower the volume on the call or volume adjustment screen.

Mute Key

| During a call, the user can press this key to mute the microphone.

Hands-free Key

| The user can press this key to open the audio channel of the speakerphone.

Installation Requirements

Before you begin the installation, make sure that you have the following:

  • Store or use the device in a proper environment that meets environmental requirements, including and not limited to, temperature, humidity, dust, corrosive gases, electromagnetic radiation, etc.
  • Make sure the device is securely installed or placed on a flat surface to prevent falling.
  • Protect the device from liquid of any kind.
  • Make sure the power supply provides a stable voltage that meets the power requirements of the device.
  • Using the device may involve the collection of personal information such as phone number, GPS. Please abide by your local laws and regulations while using the device.

Mounting the IP Phone

Wall Mounting

  1.  Remove the sliding buckle and embed it in the opposite direction.
  2.  Fix the wall stand (buy separately) and embed it in the phone.FS-FIP-3102-IP-Phones-FIG5NOTE: Wall hanging bracket needs to be purchased separately.

Connecting to the Device
Connect the power adapter, network, PC, handset and headset to the corresponding ports.FS-FIP-3102-IP-Phones-FIG6

Configuring the IP Phone

SIP Configurations
A line must be configured properly to be able to provide telephony service.

  1.  Phone interface: To manually configure a line, the user can press the line key for a long time, or press the button in the function menu [Menu] >> [Advanced Settings] >> [Accounts] >> [Line n] configuration, click ok to save the configuration.
    NOTE: User must enter correct PIN code to be able to advanced settings to edit line configuration. The default PIN is 123.

  2.  WEB interface: After logging into the phone page, enter [Line] » [SIP] and select SIP for configuration, click apply to complete registration after configuration, as shown below:FS-FIP-3102-IP-Phones-FIG7

Network Configurations
The device relies on IP network connection to provide service. Unlike traditional phone system based on a circuit switched wire technology, IP devices are connected to each other over the network and exchange data in packet basis based on the devices’ IP address.
To enable this phone, you must first correctly configure the network configuration.
To configure the network, users need to find the phone function menu button [Menu] >> [Advanced Settings] » [Network] » [Network].
The default password for advanced Settings is “123”.

NOTE: If user saw a “WAN Disconnected” icon flashing in the middle of screen, it means the network cable was not correctly connected to the device’s network port.
Please check the cable is connected correctly to the device and to the network switch, router, or modem.

Web Configurations
Phone can be configured and managed on the web page of the phone.

  1.  Enter the IP address of the phone in the browser and open the web page of the phone.

  2.  Enter the user name and password to log in to the web page.

NOTE: The default user name and password are “admin”.

Basic Call Features

Language Setting

  1.  Press Menu key> Basic> Language.
  2. Select the desired language and press OK soft key.

Making a Call

  1.  Pre-dialing: enter the phone number and pick up the handset.
  2.  Direct dialing: lift the handset and enter the phone number.
  3.  Handsfree: enter phone number and press ••11) or vice versa.
  4.  Headset: enter phone number and press O or vice versa.
  5.  Designated line: press line key, enter phone number and press dial key.

Accepting a Call

  1.  Using the handset: pick up the handset.
  2.  Using the headset: press f).
  3.  Using the handsfree: press••11).

Call Mute

  1.  Press l to Mute the microphone during the call.
  2.  Press l again to un-mute the conversation.

Putting a Call on Hold

  1. Press the pausekey or Hold soft key, caller is put on hold.
  2.  To retrieve the call press the pause key or Resume soft key.

NOTE: With more than one active call, select desired call with the navigator keys and use the corresponding soft key to hold or resume.

Call Transfer
Attended transfer:

  1.  Press(-,( key or Xfer soft key during the active conversation, the call is put on hold.
  2.  Dial the second telephone number.
  3.  When the call is answered, then press(-,( key or Xfer soft key to complete the operation.

Blind transfer:

  1. Press(-,( key or Xfer soft key during the active conversation, the call will be on hold.
  2.  Then enter the 2nd telephone number and press(-,( key or Xfer soft key.

Call Forward

  1.  Press Menu > Features > Call Forward.
  2.  Select the line, the type of forward, enter the destination number and status, and press OK soft key.

Multiparty Conference

  1.  Once in line with 1st caller, press• key or Conf soft key, 1st caller is put on hold.
  2.  Then call the 2nd number.
  3.  After, 2nd call is established, press• key or Conf soft key to set up the conference.

Programmable Keys

  1. You can configure shortcuts for the programmable keys.
  2.  Press Menu> Basic> Keyboard, select among the configurable items, and select your desired type and value, press OK key.

Do Not Disturb

  1.  Press DND soft key, and enable the device do not disturb mode.
  2.  Or press Menu> Features> DND, and select the Mode and Type, and press OK key.

Voice Mail

  1.  To access your voice mailbox, pressi\!lior Menu> Message> Voice Message, number of messages will be indicated if provided by your server or pbx.
  2.  Select the line and press Play to call.

Call List

  1.  Press 0 key or Menu > CallLog > Local Call Logs.
  2.  Scroll through the list usinge,.
  3.  To dial an entry, press Dial soft key or pickup handset or pressOor•~-

Phone book
Access phonebook:

  1.  Press Q:lor Dir soft key or Menu> Contact> Local Contacts.
  2.  Select All Contacts or other Group.
  3.  To dial an entry, press Dial soft key or pickup handset or pressOor••IJ).

Add new entry:

  1.  Press Dir soft key, Press All Contacts or other group > Press Add.
  2.  Enter name and number and press OK soft key.
