MAINTENANCE – ANY SERVICING OTHER THAN CLEANING AND BULB MAINTENANCE SHOULD BE PERFORMED BY AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE.

Frequent cleaning will prolong the life of the unit, ensure fire prevention and provide for more efficient operation.

  1. UNPLUG UNIT from outlet to power off before cleaning.
  2. Remove the 4 screws from the bottom of the unit to release the access door.
  3. Gently tap unit to get insects to drop out of the bottom of the unit. If available, a leaf blower, vacuum, or similar device can be used to remove insects.
  4. After cleaning, replace access door and reinsert 4 screws securely.
  5. Clean before off-season storage. HOW DYNAZAP WORKS Flying insects are instinctively attracted to the DynaZap® by the UV light. Once attracted and drawn into the unit, the insects come in contact with the electrified grid where they are zapped and killed.

REPLACING BULBS REPLACE WITH DYNAZAP® BULBS #30300 (OR EQUIVALENT GR10Q

TYPE – 120V / 40W UVA BULBS)

The light bulb life expectancy is approximately 3,000 hours (or about 4 months), and should be replaced regularly to ensure optimal UV effectiveness. Even though the bulb’s light may be visible to you, it’s ability to attract insects diminishes over time.

  1. UNPLUG UNIT from outlet to power off, and allow bulbs to cool before replacing.
  2. Remove the 4 screws from the bottom of the unit to release the access door (A).
  3. Cover hand with towel and gently pull bulb/bulbs straight out of unit (B).
  4. Insert new bulb/bulbs into socket until it is fully seated.
  5. After changing bulb/bulbs, replace access door and reinsert 4 screws securely.
