Safety Tips
- Please do not put any fluid container on the product.
- Please use the product in ventilated environment and prevent blocking the vents.
- Please use included power supply with the product to prevent damage to the product.
- Please use the product under its standard working temperature and humidity. (advised in this manual or distributor’s website)
- Dust on PCB may cause short circuit. It is suggested to clean the dust on PCB timely to make the product work properly.
- Please obey the regulation and policy in your country/ area during the installation of the product.

- A screen. The system is standalone with Linux OS. Connect the NVR to a PC monitor or a TV to use the operating system.
- An HDMI or VGA cable. Use the VGA/ HDMI cable your screen has; or contact support@kittyhok.com for a free HOM I cable.
- Hard disk (if not included). Any SATA hard drives 250GB ~ 6TB, preferably surveillance hard drives. You can use the system without a hard disk if you don’t need it to record videos.
- Internet. Like a PC, you can use it without the Internet; but with Internet connection, you can access it remotely.
Setup the System
- Use the included bigger power supply to connect the NVR to power.
- Use an HDMI or VGA cable to connect the NVR to a PC monitor or a TV.
- Before mounting the cameras, use the included smaller power supplies to connect the cameras to power. The cameras images should display on the screen within minutes.
- Mount cameras and run cables.
- On the wall/ ceiling you want to mount the camera, use a pencil to make marks.
- Drill holes and drive wall anchors into them. If you are mounting on wooden surface, use screws to fix the camera. No wall anchor is needed.
- Fix the camera with mounting screws.
- Adjust camera’s view angle.
Live view
Mouse operations
Tips: the included mOUse is mainly for initial setup purpose. A wireless mouse will give yoU more flexibility. Sorry we could not include that because of limitation on batteries in shipments.
7.2 Username and password
Default Username admin
Default Password none (leave it empty, click OK to login)
7.3 Set a password to secure your system
Right-click to enter main menu System setting System admin – User; set a
password for admin to secure your system.
Record video
If your system was purchased with preinstalled hard drive, as soon as NVR &
cameras get power, they start to record. You don’t need to do
any operation.
8.1 How to install a hard drive
If your system does not come with hard drive. Install a hard drive following
below steps.
- Unplug your NVR from power, unscrew and remove the top cover.
- Connect the SATA power and data cables from the NVR to the corresponding ports on your HDD (as shown).
- Place the HDD into the NVR. Any cable should cross up over the HDD.
- Holding the hard drive and the DVR, gently turn it over and line up the holes on the hard drive with the holes on the NVR. Using a Phillips screwdriver, screw the rovided crews into the holes. Assemble the cover.
Set your record plan
The NVR loop record 247 with your hard drive capacity. We suggest not to
change the default 247 recording plan.
If you want to change the plan, you can find it in System setting – Record-
setting.

6:00 PM -12;00 PM, the system records only when motion detected. (Trne
recording is OFF and motion recording is ON)
Tips: Alarm record means recording triggered by external alarm devices, which do not apply to this system.

Connect the camera system to Internet
Use an Ethernet cable to hard wire the NVR’s WAN port to your router, or to a WiFi repeater. Within a minute or so, you should see the system status changes to ONLINE.
Mobile App
Install mobile App
Install App. You can either scan the QR Code below to find the free mobile app, or search ‘kittyhok” in App Store/ Google Play to find it. Install it and create an user account.
Add your camera system for mobile view
On the NVR screen, right-click mouse to enter main menu – System setting –
Network setting, click “Show QR code” to obtain the Cloud ID QR code.
In
App, tap+ and follow on screen guide, scan the QR code or input Cloud ID to
add the system to App. Tips: If you’ve set a login password on
your NVR, please provide that password. In the future whenever you change the
password on the NVR, please edit device in App to update to new password.
Playback on mobile
In the Kittyhawk App, while viewing a live video of the system, click
Playback, and you will enter the remote playback menu. Tap to switch to the
camera you want to replay, tapto choose date you want to replay, use a finger
to drag the time bar to select exact time, use 2 fingers to zoom the time bar
so you can select an accurate time. Then tap the play button O to replay.
App notifications
App notifications
When motion detected, you will receive a push notification message, tap the
message you can see the snapshot, tap ‘View Video’ you can video the motion-
triggered videos.
You can also access the message list in App MSG entry.
Enable/ Disable App notifications
In App – Me – Setting, enable or disable the push notification.
Share videos from App
While playback on App, tap Record to record video clips to mobile. Find the video clips in Snapshot/Record for sharing.
Share the cameras with families
In App – Share to enter Device sharing. Tap yes to generate QR code.
Have your families to install the App and scan the QR code to view the cameras
.
View on PC
- Download and install PC Client Software CMS at, https://kittyhok.com/pages/download
Log in with your kittyhok App user account, your cameras will be automatically synced to this PC App.
Tips: you can also add your cameras to the PC CMS App with their Cloud IDs.
View on Mac
- Download and install Mac Client Software CMS at, https://kittyhok.com/pages/download
- Login with your kittyhok App user account, your cameras will be automatically synced to this Mac App.
Tips: you can also add your cameras to the Mac CMS App with their Cloud IDs.
