Link Spotify to Alexa

  1. Download and open the Alexa app.
  2. Tap the menu in the top-left.
  3. Tap  Settings , then  Music & Podcasts.
  4. Select Spotify, then  Link account to Alexa.
  5. Log in to your Spotify account.

Set Spotify as the default

Make it so you don’t have to say “on Spotify” at the end of your voice commands:

  1. In the Alexa app, tap the menu in the top-left.
  2. Tap  Settings , then  Music & Podcasts.
  3. Tap  Choose default music services.
  4. Select  Spotify  and tap  DONE.

Note:  You still need to say “on Spotify” at the end of commands to play podcasts.

Now just ask Alexa to play something, e.g. “Alexa, play Discover Weekly”.
