ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Do not charge the unit outdoors.
  • Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.
  • Do not incinerate the  appliance even if it is severely damaged. The batteries can explode in a fire.
  • Keep firm footing and maintain good balance at all times. Do not overreach. Overreaching can result in loss of balance.
  • Do not use the tool if the power switch does not turn it ON or OFF. Any tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Carefully inspect your appliance prior to use and follow all label and marking instructions.
  • Keep all parts of your body away from any moving parts and all hot surfaces of the unit.
  • Do not put any object into the tool’s openings. Do not use the tool with any opening blocked; keep openings free of dust, lint, hair, or any other object that may reduce air flow.
  • Check the work area before each use. Remove all objects such as rocks, broken glass, nails, wire, or string, which can be thrown or become entangled in the machine.
  • Service on the product must be performed by qualified repair personnel only. Service or maintenance performed by unqualified personnel could result in injury to the user or damage to the product.
  • This blower is intended for household use only. Commercial use of this product is prohibited and will void the manufacturer’s warranty .
  • Never run the unit without the proper equipment attached. Always ensure the blower tube is properly installed.
  • Always grasp the handle when operating the unit, only operate the machine in its intended orientation.
  • Do not handle charger, including charger plug, and charger terminals with wet hands • Do not charge battery in rain, or in wet locations.

  • Remove or disconnect battery before servicing, cleaning, or removing material from the appliance.

SPECIFIC BLOWER SAFETY RULES

  • The blower has been designed to dear light debris and leaves from hard surfaces — not for clearing grassed areas.
  • When operating the unit, never point the blower nozzle in the direction of people or pets or in the direction of windows. Use extra caution when blowing debris near solid objects, such as trees, automobiles, and walls.
  • Be sure to secure the unit when transporting it.
  • Never douse or squirt the unit with water or any other liquid. Clean the unit after each use as described in the cleaning and storage section.

BATTERY PACK SAFETY WARNINGS

  • Ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting battery pack. Inserting the battery pack into machines that have the switch on can cause accidents.
  • Use only original battery packs intended specifically for this machine. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  • Do not open the battery. Danger of short-circuiting.
  • Protect the battery against heat (e. g., against continuous intense sunlight and fire) water and moisture. Danger of explosion.
  • In case of damage and improper use of the battery, vapours may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seek medical help in case of complaints. The vapours can irritate the respiratory system.
  • Use the battery pack only in conjunction with this product and/or product family. This measure alone protects the battery against dangerous overload.
  • The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally. An internal short circuit can occur and the battery can burn, smoke, explode or overheat.
  • Do not short-circuit the battery. There is danger of explosion.
  • Store and use the battery only within a temperature range between —20 °C and 45 °C. As an example, do not leave the battery in the car in summer. Occasionally dean the venting slots and contact pins of the battery pack using a soft, clean and dry brush.
  • If the battery is empty and the product is switched off automatically, do not continue to press the ON/OFF switch.

BATTERY CHARGER SAFETY WARNINGS

WARNING!

Read all safety warnings and instructions before using the charger. Only for indoor use!

  •  This appliance is not intended for use by children and persons with physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged the appliance should be scrapped.
  • Only charge the Lithium-Ion battery pack with a capacity of 2.5Ah (B25X5 Lithium-Ion battery cells) as mentioned in this instruction manual Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • The battery and charger must be placed in a well ventilated area.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Do not operate the battery charger on easily flammable surfaces (e. g., paper, textiles, etc.) or surroundings. The heating of the battery charger during the charging process can pose a fire hazard. Do not cover the ventilation slots of the battery charger. Otherwise, the battery charger can overheat and no longer operate properly.

ATTACH/REMOVE THE BATTERY

CAUTION

Only use a Senix-approved battery and charger.

Note: Charge the battery fully before first use. To insert the battery, slide it into the back of the unit until a “click” is heard. Make sure the attery is fully inserted and latched into position. To remove the battery, press the release button and slide the battery out.

STARTING / STOPPING THE BLOWER

WARNING!

Do not insert or remove the battery while the trigger is pressed or while the unit is in motion.

CAUTION!

Always wear safety glasses. Wear a filter mask if the operation is dusty. Use of proper gloves and proper footwear is recommended when working outdoors.

CAUTION!

Use the blower only in daylight.

To start the blower, squeeze the trigger switch. To stop, release the switch trigger. There are two speed buttons on top of the blower.

  • The bottom button moves the blower into HIGH SPEED (123 MPH).
  • The top button moves the blower into TURBO SPEED (129 MPH). Pressing either button once will engage the selected speed. Pressing it a second time will disengage the speed and return it to low speed (100 MPH). Note: Turbo speed has been designed to shut off automatically after 35 seconds then revert back to low speed.

Maintenance

WARNING!

Remove the battery before inspecting, adjusting, performing maintenance, or cleaning the unit.

CLEANING
  1. Brush or blow dust and debris out of the air vents using compressed air or a vacuum. Keep the air vents free of obstructions, sust, and debris. Do not spray, wash, or immerse the air vents in water.
  2. Wipe off the housing and the plastic components using a moist, soft cloth. Do not use strong solvents or detergents on the plastic housing or plastic components. Certain household cleaners may cause damage or cause a shock hazard.
STORAGE

Examine the unit thoroughly for worn loose or damaged parts. If you need to repair or replace a part, contact Senix customer service at 1-800-261-3981.

  • Clean the unit before storing or transporting. Be sure to secure the unit while transporting.
  • Remove the battery pack before storing. Charge the battery completely before long-term storage.
  • Store the tool out of reach for children and other unauthorized persons in a well-ventilated, dry and frost- free environment.
  • Protect the machine against dusts and moisture.

WARNING!

Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

  • When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another.
  • Store the unit in a dean, dry place. Cover it in order to provide added protection.

SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE RECOMMENDED ACTIONS

Motor does not run or runs intermittently

| Battery discharged| Charge the battery.
Battery pack not fully inserted| Press the battery pack into the battery port until it clicks into place.
Battery contacts dirty| Remove the battery pack, remove debris from the battery port, and then clean the contacts with a clean, dry cloth.
Battery pack cold| Allow the battery pack to warm to the minimum operating temperature of 32°F (0°C).
Overheating of motor| Let the motor cool down.
Defective power switch| Contact Senix customer service at 1-800- 261-3981.
Unit will not blow| Blocked tube| Clear the blockage.

LIMITED TWO-YEAR WARRANTY

2-year limited warranty on all Senix X5 series outdoor battery powered equipment and charger. 2-year limited warranty on all Senix X5 batteries. FOR TWO YEARS from the original date of retail purchase this Senix product is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship on power tools and chargers. Defective product will receive free repair. FOR TWO YEARS from the original date of retail purchase this Senix product is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship on batteries. Defective product will receive free repair.* This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts and components such as cutting chain, line or blades nor does this warranty cover product transportation cost for warranty or service.
