AXiom SCV-1 Stereo Chorus-Vibrato
INTRODUCTION
The AXiom Stereo Chorus-Vibrato SCV-1 is a 100% analog, BBD-based
chorus/vibrato/doubler pedal designed to produce anything from the subtlest to
the richest and deepest modulation. The SCV-1 features an extended RATE
control, a SWEEP control that adjusts the modulation type from square wave to
sine wave to triangular, and a WIDTH (delay time) control that adjusts the
base modulation delay of the effected signal (from ‘tight’ CE-1 style chorus
to modern ‘wide’ chorus sounds), LEFT and RIGHT channel effect level controls
that go from dry to maximum chorus to pure pitch vibrato, and BASS and TREBLE
control that determine how much modulation is applied to bass and treble
frequencies (unlike simple tone controls that merely adjust the tone).
For stereo operation, the LEFT and RIGHT controls adjust the effect in each
channel independently. So you can have true stereo (i.e. ‘motionless’) chorus
in both channels, pure vibrato in one channel and dry in the other (wet/dry
chorus), vibrato in both channels (180 degrees out of phase), or dry in one
channel and time-delayed with no modulation in the other (doubling).

RATE: Increases the sweep rate of the modulation as the knob is turned
clockwise.
SWEEP: Adjusts the shape of the modulation waveform gradually from a
square wave to sinusoidal to the traditional triangular chorus modulation.
DEPTH: Increases the range of the modulation from narrow to wide as the
knob is turned clockwise.
WIDTH: Increases the base delay time of the modulation as the knob is
turned clockwise (from less than 1ms to 20ms). This makes the effect sound
more intense and dramatic.
LEFT: Adjusts the modulation effect in the left channel from dry to
chorus to the vibrato as the knob is turned clockwise.
BASS: Increases the modulation applied to the low frequencies as the knob
is turned clockwise. This can be used to tailor the SCV-1 to work optimally
with bass, rhythm, or lead guitar.
TREBLE: Increases the modulation applied to the high frequencies as the
knob is turned clockwise. This can be used to tailor the SCV-1 to work
optimally with a clean, distorted, or acoustic guitar.
RIGHT: Adjusts the modulation effect in the right channel from dry to
chorus to the vibrato as the knob is turned clockwise.
