Your Chelsea Automatic timepiece is fitted with the Miyota Cal. 9015 movements with the date at 3 o’clock. The crown may be placed in 3 positions as per the image below.
Please Note – The Chelsea features a ‘screw down’ crown. The crown must be unscrewed in order to change position. When screwing the crown back in, apply lateral pressure towards the case to engage the thread. The crown must be fully screwed in for water resistance to be effective.

  • Fully pushed in – when in this position, the crown can be rotated clockwise to manually wind the movement.
  • Partially pulled out – This position allows for the date to be changed via quick-set when the crown is rotated clockwise.
  • Fully pulled out – This position allows for the time to be set through both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation of the crown.
