- Step 5: Once the Smart Meter Cloak is in place, you can undo the side latches and open the lid to view the meter screen.
EMF PROTECTION
The Mission Darkness Smart Meter Cloak is used to block radio frequencies (RF), specifically electromagnetic fields (EMF) like the harmful radiation emitting from electricity meters referred to as “smart meters.”
BLOCKING EMF VS BLOCKING ALL RF SIGNALS
Please note that blocking EMF requires the same materials as blocking
additional RF signals, but not the same construction methods. To effectively
block RF signals like cell and Wi-Fi, a fully enclosed faraday cage is
required. This means you would need to COMPLETELY COver your meter in
shielding materials to create a faraday cage. Since the meter is affixed to a
wall, this can not be done easily and is impractical for installation. The
next best option is to reduce EMF emissions by covering the outside of your
meter with the Mission Darkness” Smart Meter Cloak.

yourself from the overabundance of EMF emitting sources around you.
