Product description
The radiant heater has a thermostat and a self-resetting thermal switch-off to
control the heating elements. The thermostat measures the air temperature and
regulates the ambient temperature. The fan motor is not controlled by the
thermostat and continues to work after the thermostat has switched off the
heating element. The self-resetting thermal switch-off switches the heating
element off to ensure safety in the event of overheating.
Note! When using the heater for the first time, you may notice a slight
amount of smoke. This is completely normal and will stop after a short time.
The heating element is made of stainless steel and is coated with protective
oil during manufacture. The smoke comes from the oil left in the device, which
evaporates as it heats up.
Description of the control panel
- Left turning knob: selector switch with temperature regulation
- Right turning knob: thermostat regulator
Commissioning
- Set up the heater so that it stands upright on a solid surface and is at a safe distance from wet areas and flammable objects.
- Connect the heater to the power supply.
- Turn the thermostat knob to the maximum setting and let the device work at full power.
- The radiant heater switches on when the selector switch has been set to one of the power levels.
- As soon as the room has reached the desired temperature, the heating element switches off while the fan continues to work. As soon as the temperature has dropped, the heating element starts up again. The radiant heater starts and stops automatically, thus maintaining the room temperature.
- Before switching off the heater, turn the thermostat to the lowest setting and the selector switch to “Ventilate.” Let the device cool down for 2 min, then switch off the heater and pull out the power plug.
- There is an additional thermostat to control the fan motor. If the temperature inside the device is high, the thermostat will also turn on the heater, even though the device is off. If, for example, the heater is switched off after operation, the fan motor continues to work to lower the temperature inside.
Cleaning and maintaining the device
- Before cleaning the device, disconnect the power plug from the socket and let the device cool down. Wipe all soiled parts with a sponge dipped in 50 ℃ warm water mixed with a mild detergent, and then dry the heater housing with a clean cloth. Be careful not to let the water get inside the device. Do not splash water on the device and never use solvents such as gasoline to clean it.
- When storing the device, let it cool down first and make sure that it is clean and dry. It is best to cover the heater with a plastic bag, put it in a packing box and store it in a dry and well-ventilated place.
