How to operate your hair setter

  1. Place hair setter on a firm, flat surface. With the lid closed, plug the cord into the outlet. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
  2. Once plugged in, the red light will go on and the rollers will heat up quickly. Rollers are ready to use when the ready dot on the roller turns transparent white. (Please refer to HOW TO CURL YOUR HAIR for further instructions.)
  3. Allow rollers to heat with lid closed, as this will provide the fastest, most efficient heat-up. Once the rollers are hot, you can begin setting your hair. Allow rollers to heat longer for tighter curls. Never leave your hair setter on and unattended. Always unplug the hair setter when not in use. Allow the hair setter to cool down after use, and store in a safe place.
  4. Hair should be clean and dry or slightly damp– never wet – when setting.

USER MAINTENANCE

Your hair setter is designed for household use and is virtually maintenance- free. This product represents the highest standards of workmanship and engineering research. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power source. Allow the setter to cool. Clean the unit and the heating strips with a cloth. (Occasionally you may want to clean your rollers. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent or soap.) If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the hair setter, allow it to cool, and return it to an authorized service representative for repair.

STORAGE

Allow hair setter to cool. Handle cord carefully for longer life; avoid jerking or straining at plug connections. Place hair setter out of reach of children in a safe, dry location.

HOW TO CURL YOUR HAIR

  1. Place ends of the hair on a roller and wind toward the scalp. Roll up hair firmly, and secure clip, crossing over the roller. Do not place clip in roller slit.
  2. The firmness of the curl is regulated by the temperature and the length of time the roller is left in your hair.
  3. For tight, firm curls, leave rollers in the hair for at least ten minutes before removing them. For soft, wavy curls, the rollers should be removed from the hair after a shorter period of time.
  4. Removing roller: Hold the roller in one hand while removing clip with the other. Gently drop the roller (DO NOT PULL) and let the curl bounce back after the roller has been completely removed. Let cool for one minute for a firmly set curl, and then style your hair into a look that lasts for hours.

IMPORTANT : After using the hair setter several times, you will find the best timing for the texture of your hair and for the result you desire.–Jumbo rollers create smooth sleek lines of and softer, sophisticated hairstyles.– Use super jumbo rollers for added volume.

Rollers come packed one size to a carton. Rollers are sold by the carton only.
