Conditions of use

Before use read the instructions in full and keep them for future reference. Also, check that your scooter is in perfect working order.
This scooter is a travel vehicle designed for leisure use. Please familiarise yourself with the local regulations in force before use.
This scooter is designed for users over 14 years of age if local regulations allow it.
This scooter can be used by a person who is at least 14 years old, and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or without experience or knowledge if they are properly supervised or if they have been given instructions for the safe use of the appliance and if the risks involved have been apprehended. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Before each use, make sure that all the locking devices are properly engaged (follow the assembly instructions in the manual), that the steering system is correctly adjusted and that all the connection elements are properly tightened and not broken.

Check the operation of the brake before each uses Regularly check the quality of your wheels and bearings and ensure their proper maintenance. Remove any sharp edges before use.
Make sure you check all screws are tight before each use, as the effectiveness of self-tightening nuts and other fastening devices may become compromised.
Most serious accidents occur in the first months of use, so take time to learn the basics of scooter riding. Ask at your store, where staff will be able to recommend an appropriate training organization. The scooter, due to the skills it requires, must be used with care to avoid any fall or collision that could injure the user or others. At all times, take care of yourself and others.
Avoid busy places with a lot of traffic .. Ride-on flat, dean, dry surfaces and, when possible, away from other road users.
Do not misuse the scooter. Do not modify or tune the scooter.
Do not carry a bag or other object on the front of the scooter.
Regularly check the condition of the brake and its level of wear.
Warning: as with all mechanical appliances, a vehicle is subject to considerable stress and wear. The different materials and components can react differently to wear or fatigue. If a component’s expected lifespan is exceeded, it can break suddenly, which could cause injury to the user. Cracks, scratches or discoloration on areas subject to high amounts of stress are signs that the component’s lifespan has been exceeded and it should be replaced.
The vehicle is intended for one person only.
Accessories and additional items which are not approved by the manufacturer should not be used.
During use, always wear protective equipment such as hand/wrist protection, knees, head, and elbows. According to traffic regulations in France, please always wear reflective doing and a helmet, especially in low visibility conditions such as fog, dusk or at night. It is compulsory to always wear shoes.
The sound pressure level of A-weighted emissions does not exceed 70 dB (A). Any load attached to the handlebar will affect the stability of the vehicle. This vehicle is not intended for acrobatic use. In the event of an accident or breakdown, contact the Decathlon after-sales service.

Use
Warning: the motor and brake can get hot during use. Do not touch them after use to avoid any risk of bums. The motor is activated by the trigger located on the handlebars. It engages when the speed of the scooter is above 3km/h.
Any braking action turns off the assistance.

Control your speed and trajectory in order to maintain control of the vehicle The scooter can be used in free-wheel mode when electric assistance is turned off.
The product is exposed to the extension of braking distances during wet weather.
Notify your presence when approaching a pedestrian or cyclist if they haven’t seen or heard you. Traffic in the city has many obstacles to cross such as curbs or steps. It is recommended to avoid obstacle jumps. It is important to anticipate and adapt your trajectory and speed to those of a pedestrian before crossing these obstacles. It is also recommended to get out of the vehicle when these obstacles become dangerous due to their shape, height or slippage.
Cross the protected passages while walking.

Using walking-pace mode:
Walking-pace mode limits your speed to 6knVh.
Use this mode each time the scooter is used in common traffic areas with pedestrians.

Battery

Before charging it, switch off the scooter.
Charging should always be done indoors.
For optimum use, we recommend you do a full charge followed by a full discharge once a month. The charging connector has a protective device that serves to protect the connections during use and prevent water from entering.
In the event of non-use, infrequent use, or storage, recharge the battery completely at least every 6 months to ensure that it will work properly.
Important information:
Always make sure the charger is compatible with the local electricity network:
Voltage: 100V, 240V maximum,
Frequency: minimum 50 Hz, maximum 60 Hz.
Charging must be done in the presence of a user and under supervision
WARNING! To recharge the battery, use only the removable BC257360020 power supply unit supplied with the device.
When the scooter is at the end of its life, return the battery to a store or an authorized recycling center. Do not dispose of the scooter in the countryside.
WARNING! Keep plastic covering away from children to avoid suffocation.

Maintenance

To ensure the scooter’s maintenance, provide suitable lighting.
The scooter must be turned off for maintenance or deaning.
Do not clean with a water jet or high-pressure cleaner. Use a slightly damp cloth.
Do not store the scooter in an atmosphere >40°C, especially in a car This device contains batteries that are non-replaceable. Commercial Battery Warranty:

The battery is guaranteed for 2 years and 300 complete charges and discharges with a full charge to be carried out at least every 6 months.
There is a risk of severe damage to the battery if a complete charge has not been carried for longer than 6 months (not guaranteed)
A 2-year guarantee is subject to normal usage. The guarantee will be canceled if the battery has been opened or modified.
Do not open the battery, motor wheel, the sealed cover containing the battery and motor controller, and the sensor on the brake handle
The guarantee will be void should any precautions have been ignored. Never attempt to charge the battery with any charger other than the one supplied.
