IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

  • Please read these operating instructions carefully before connecting your kettle to the power supply, in order to avoid damage due to incorrect use.
  • Before switching on the appliance for the first time please check if the technical specifications indicated on the unit correspond to the mains parameters.
  • Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to malfunction of the appliance and injuries to the user.
  • The appliance is intended for use only in domestic aims. The unit is not intended for industrial and commercial use, and also for use in:
    • kitchen area for the stuff of shops, offices and the other industrial places
    • farm houses
    • hotels, motels, rest homes and other similar places by residents.
  • Do not use outdoors or in high humidity conditions.
  • Do not allow liquid to get on the plug of the power cord.
  • Always unplug the appliance from the power supply when not in use.
  • Do not immerse the unit, cord or plug in water or other liquids. If it has happened, remove the plug from the wall socket immediately and have the unit checked by an expert before using it again.
  • The appliance is not intended for use for physically, sensory or mental disabled person (including children) or for person with lack of life experience or knowledge, if only they are under supervision or have been instructed about the use of the unit by responsible person.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
  • Children must be under control in order not to be allowed to play with the appliance.
  • To avoid any danger, if power cord was damaged, it should be replacement by the manufacture or service department or the other high-skill person.
  • Ensure that the cord does not hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot surfaces.
  • To disconnect the appliance from the power supply pull it out by the plug only, not by the cord.
  • Place the appliance on a dry stable non-hot surface, away from hot objects (e.g. hotplates); do not place it under curtains and shelves.
  • Do not place the appliance in the cabinet during operation.
  • Do not leave the appliance, when it use.
  • Do not touch hot surface.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to users.
  • For making coffee use only cold water.
  • Do not attempt to repair, adjust or replace parts in the appliance. Repair the malfunctioning appliance in the nearest service center.
  • ATTENTION : Reservoir aperture must not be open during work of the appliance.
  • Before cleaning turn off the device and unplug it from the socket. Let the device cool off completely (the heating element remains hot for some time after use).
  • If the product has been exposed to temperatures below 0ºC for some time it should be kept at room temperature for at least 2 hours before turning it on.
  • The manufacturer reserves the right to introduce minor changes into the product design without prior notice, unless such changes influence significantly the product safety, performance, and functions.
  • Manufacturing date is indicated on the unit and/or on packing as well as in accompanying documents in the following format XX.XXXX where first two figures XX is the month of production, and following four figures XXXX is the year of production.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

  • To ensure the first cup of coffee tastes excellent, you should rinse the coffee maker with warm water as follows:
  • Pour water into water tank, the water level should not exceed the “MAX” mark in the tank. Then replace the water tank cover.
  • Note: the appliance is supplied with a detachable tank for easy cleaning, you can fill the tank with water firstly, and then put the tank into the appliance.
  • Set steel mesh into metal funnel (no coffee in steel mesh).
  • Place a jug on removable shelf. Make sure the steam control knob is on the OFF position.
  • Note: the appliance is not equipped with jug, please use yourself jug or coffee cup.
  • Connect to power source, turn the ON/OFF switch to the “—” position. The lamp in itself will be illuminated.
  • Turn the pump control switch to the “—” position, the pump will pump water, when there is water flowing out and close the pump by pressing the pump control switch to “O”, pressing the coffee/steam selector to the “O” position and waiting for a moment, the appliance begins to be pre-heated until the inner lamp of pump control switch is illuminated, it shows the pre-heating is finish. Pressing the pump control switch to “—” position again, and water will flow out.
  • After water not dropping out any more, you can pour the water in each container out then clean them thoroughly, now you can start brewing.
  • Note: There may be noise when pump the water on the first time, it is normal, the appliance is releasing the air in the appliance. After about 20s, the noise will disappear.

MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE

  • Remove the funnel by turning it in clockwise. Add ground coffee to steel mesh with measuring spoon, a spoon ground coffee power can make about a cup of top-grade coffee, then press the ground coffee powder tightly with the tamper.
  • Set steel mesh into metal funnel, make sure the tube on the funnel aligns with groove in the appliance, then insert the funnel into the appliance from the “Insert” position, and you can fix them into coffee maker firmly through turn it anticlockwise until it is at the “Lock” position..
  • Pour out the hot water in the cup. Then place the hot cup (yourself cup) on removable shelf.
  • At the time, the lamp in pump control switch shall be illuminated, if it is extinguished, wait for a moment, once the lamp in it is illuminated, you should press the pump control switch on the “—” position, waiting for a moment, there will be coffee flowing out.
  • Note: During operation, if the indicator is extinguished, you must close the pump and stop to make espresso coffee. After a few seconds, if the lamp is illuminated again, you can make espresso coffee continued by pressing pump control switch to “—” position, the lamp is cycle on and off to maintain the water temperature is hot enough.
  • You should press ON/OFF switch to “O” position manually when desired coffee is obtained or the colour of coffee changes weak obviously, all indicators go out and the coffee maker stops working, your coffee is ready now.
  • WARNING: Do not leave the coffee maker unattended during making the coffee, as you need operate manually sometimes!
  • After finishing making the coffee, you can take the metal funnel out through turn clockwise, then pour the coffee residue out with the steel mesh pressed by press bar.
  • Let them cool down completely, then rinse under running water. .

MAKE CAPPUCCINO COFFEE

  • You get a cup of cappuccino when you top up a cup of espresso with frothing milk.
  • Note: during making steam, the metal funnel must be assembled in position.
  • Prepare espresso first with container big enough according to the part “MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE”, make sure that the steam control knob is at the OFF position.
  • Press the coffee/steam selector to the “—” position, the lamp in the pump control switch will be illuminated, waiting for until the indicator in the coffee/steam selector is illuminated.
  • Note: During operation, the indicator in the coffee/steam selector will be cycle on and off to maintain to desired temperature.
  • Fill a jug with about 100 grams of milk for each cappuccino to be prepared, you are recommended to use whole milk at refrigerator temperature (not hot!).
  • Note: In choosing the size of jug, it is recommend the diameter is not less than 70±5mm, and bear in mind that the milk increases in volume by 2 times, make sure the height of jug is enough.
  • Turn the steam control knob slowly in anti-clockwise, steam will come out from the frothing device.
  • Note: Never turn the steam control button rapidly, as the steam will accumulate rapidly in short time which may increase the potential of the risk of explosion.
  • Insert the frothing device into the milk about two centimetres, froth milk in the way moving vessel round from up to down.

ATTENTION: The coffee maker is not equipped auto shut off system of steam and espresso. We recommend to froth milk not more than 1.5 minutes. Please keep attention on the level of espresso in your cup.

  • Note: Clean steam outlet with wet sponge immediately after steam stops generating, but care not to hurt!
  • Pour the frothed milk into the espresso prepared; now the cappuccino is ready. Sweeten to taste and if desired, sprinkle the froth with a little cocoa powder.
  • Press the ON/OFF switch to the “O” position to cut the power source off. All indicators will be extinguished.
  • Note: we recommend you allow the maker to cool down at least for 5 min before making coffee again. Otherwise burnt odor may occur in your Espresso coffee.
  • After 25 minutes of turning on the power switch, the unit will power off automatically. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PREPARATION TASTE COFFEE
  • Use freshly ground coffee suitable for Espresso coffee only
  • Tamper the ground coffee slightly. This can be done with down side of the measuring spoon
  • Coffee strength will depend of the coffee quality and type of coffee beans grinding.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Do not forget to unplug the appliance from the power supply before cleaning.
  • Let the appliance cool down, and then wipe outside with a soft dry cloth. Do not use detergent or abrasives.
  • Wash all detachable parts with hot soapy water, then rinse and dry before fitting to place. DESCALING
  • Descale your coffee maker regularly.
  • Operate the appliance as described. Add proper descaling remedy, available at the market to the water tank and do not fill the filter with ground coffee. Follow recommendations given.
  • After descaling let the appliance work twice more with only water to rinse away the vinegar and scale remainders.
  • Clean the coffee maker about every 5 months to keep high efficiency.

STORAGE

  • Complete all requirements of chapter CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
  • Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.
