  1. Do not mount the speaker in a location where someone may either walk into or strike their head. During a turbulent ride, please make sure that you do not loosen your footing and fall or hit the speaker, or it may cause injury.
  2. Secure the wires to the speaker in multiple locations along their route to your audio source, so that there are no hanging loops of wire. Having unsecured wires in any hanging conditions can cause entanglement and injury.
  3. Tighten the mounting clamp with rubber inserts using care. Do not over-compress the rubber inserts. After installation is complete, please recheck all bolts and tighten them further if needed before taking your boat or vessel out for an audio adventure.

Important notes on mounting

  • It is strongly recommended that you work with an assistant to install the speaker.
  • Use only the supplied accessory for mounting. Using other mounting methods may void the warranty.
  • The supplied clamps accept the tubing ranging Ø 2” – 3” (51 – 76 mm) to attain a strong and safe hold. If a gap around the clamped tube occurs for clamping looseness, use universally available rubber inserts to fill the gap to prevent the movement of the mounted speaker.
  • The supplied rubber mounting pads must be used to prevent abrasion and secure clamping.
  • To ensure the security of the mounted speaker, check the mounting conditions (e.g. clamp fastening) of the speaker regularly or before each vehicle ride.

Mounting

  1. The speaker is pre-attached with a mounting clamp via two supplied bolts. Find two bolts attached to the upper clamp. Then unfasten the bolts to remove the upper clamp from the speaker. Important notes on mounting
  2. Place a supplied rubber pad on the inner surface of the lower clamp which is fixed to the speaker. The rubber pad is used to prevent abrasion and secure clamping.
  3. Place the other supplied rubber pad on the surface of the mounting bar. Then tighten the upper clamp to the lower clamp with the two bolts. Make sure both bolts are evenly tightened.

Speaker wiring

  1. Speaker wire connection

Using speaker wires (not included), connect two speakers to the audio outputs on your 12VDC amplifier. Make sure to observe polarity.

Warning:

  • For safety, disconnect the negative terminal on the source battery prior to wiring.
  • Note your amplifier impedance stability prior to wiring.
  • Use only high quality marine-grade speaker wires. Make sure wires are not squeezed or damaged by sharp edges
