AIRSTORM1 Cleaning The Sponge Dust Chamber Filter
User Guide
The sponge dust chamber filter is located on the top of the dust container and
can be accessed by pulling off the sponge dust chamber filter cover (fig.1and
2).
Once the sponge dust chamber filter cover has been removed from the appliance,
you can then remove the sponge dust chamber filter from the cover by twisting
and unlocking it (fig.3).
Once the sponge dust chamber filter has been removed, it then needs to be
cleaned to ensure it operates effectively and to prevent poor suction
performance.
After several uses of the vacuum cleaner, there will be dirt build-up in the
sponge filter (fig.4). The more dirt that is left to build up in the sponge
dust chamber filter, the worse the suction performance will get. It is
therefore critical to ensure ongoing maintenance of the sponge dust chamber
filter to keep it clean. To do this, rinse the sponge dust chamber filter
under the tap (which can be either cold or warm water) to remove as much dirt
as possible. You will know that it’s clean when you can see the blue color of
the sponge return (fig.5).
The sponge dust chamber filter then needs to be left to completely dry before
being reinstalled back into the vacuum cleaner. To dry the filter leave it in
a warm place such as an airing cupboard or on top of a radiator. Please note
that if the filter is not completely dry when it is reinstalled this can lead
to damage being caused to the vacuum cleaner.
