Tips
- Do not cover newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc. on the machine, as this may prevent heat dissipation. If the temperature inside the machine is too high, it may cause a fire, damage the machine, or cause personal injury. When using switches, knobs or cables, do not use excessive force.
- Only use the voltage specified by this machine. Using a voltage higher than the specified value is dangerous and may cause fire, damage to the unit, or personal injury.
- Do not attempt to modify or repair this unit by yourself. If you need any service, please contact the MUSICIAN after-sales team through the official website.
- If you plan not to use the machine for a long time, disconnect the power cord from the AC wall outlet. To strengthen the protection of this product, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet during lightning, or when no one is managing it, and when not using it for a long time. This will prevent the product from being damaged during lightning and power grid surges.

DRACO Features R2R DAC
R2R Array DAC True Balance, R—2R network control decoding linear error, high
decoding speed, low digital noise, not only to ensure low distortion of the
audio signal, but also to ensure very low background noise music.
Self—Developed Technology, Using self—developed and designed digital filters,
which can greatly increase dynamic contrast, analysis, and more natural and
delicate timbre, etc.
Multiple ports and multiple options, Digital input has I2S, Coaxial, Optical,
AES Balanced, USB. Analog output has a set of XLR balanced output and a set of
RCA output.
Using the main control ALTERA high—efficiency chip, the audio signal
transmission is not distorted
Packaged Linear Power Supply, ensure low noise and stable power supply voltage
for the DAC.
Machine aging
The burn—in time of Draco DACs is one week: Standby or Powered on 24/7 (300 hours), you will get the best performance after the enough aging hours.
Connecting RCA or XLR output simultaneously is not recommended, it will degrade the sound quality because they are shared. Even if the downstream equipment is on/off, the output signal will still be transmitted to the input stage of the downstream device.
If possible, please use the XLR output. As a true balanced DAC, the XLR output
of Draco will be more superior.

Operating Instructions
Power on and standby
Connect the power, turn on the DAC by short pressing the middle power button ,
LED light is off at this time. If you press again, the DAC will to standby
mode and the LED lights up.
Signal input selection
The left side of the front panel is the input mode selection, you can switch
the input mode freely by pressing the INPUT button
Select COAXIAL as input, the LED above the corresponding COAX lights up;
Select OPTICAL as input, the LED above the corresponding OPT lights up;
Select AES as input, the LED above the corresponding AES lights up;
Select USB as input, the LED above the corresponding USB lights up;
Select 125 as input, the LED above the corresponding I2S lights up.
NOS
NOT Indicator light off means oversampling; NOT Indicator light on means
original sampling rate.
Analog audio signal output
Two output modes: XLR balanced output and RCA output.
Digital audio signal input
Five input methods: I2S, COAXIAL, OPTICAL, AES and USB.
AC power input
AC power requirements: 115-230v (adjustable), 50/ 60Hz
Drive installation
- Please visit the official website of MUSICIAN and download the ( http://www.musician-audio.com/en/col.jsp?id=105 ) Download the DRACO driver: “ DRACO drive. Zip ”.
- Connect the device with the computer by USB cable→ turn on the device→ short press “ Input ” to switch to the USB input mode.
- Open the downloaded DRACO file→ click setup to start the installation→ continue to click “ Next ”→ until the installation is complete and show “ Finish ”.
- After installation , in the right corner of the computer→ Click on the playback device select “ MUSICIAN USB DAC ” the as the default device

I2S Pin Configuration of DRACO
PS: There is no industry standard of I2S connection. Different brand/product has different l2S line order.
MUSICIAN Draco is trying to compatible with most of device by the following
mode setting method if you are using standard HDMI cable:
- Select the sound source input to 125;
- Press the switch/stand by button in the middle (the lights on);
- Press NOS button, and the 125 lights on at the same time;
- Press the switch/stand by button in the middle again (the lights off);
- Press the NOS button to cycle through the phase modes (there are total 8 modes, 1X, 2X, 4X indicator lights are binary mode Display);
- Stop the operation when you selected the satisfied sound, the machine automatically exits the mode setting function
Through the above I2S settings, Draco can basically meet most of the brands on the market.
If it can not playing properly(such as hiss sound) by the above setting. This shall not be considered as a defective product, but just a matching failed. The suggested solution is to use a customized HDMI cable(The pin layout is on the right).

Items that can be returned/refunded or exchanged within 30 days of receipt must comply with the following standards
- Any returned items must be accompanied by all accessories, hardware, manuals or instructions, and in the same “new” state as when shipped to you.
