SAFETY NOTICE
Pay attention when using the AeroPress Flow
Control Filter Cap:
- Always use with a filter.
- Tighten firmly.
- Use gentle pressure.
Please read these instructions carefully:
- If the Aero Press Flow Control Filter Cap isn’t used properly, it may result in an accident, in damage to your AeroPress coffee maker, or in damage to your AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap.
- Not compatible with AeroPress XL.
How To Clean
Wash the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap with warm water and dish soap (no harsh chemicals such as bleach) or clean in dishwasher (top rack only) before first use. Day to day, a simple rinse is sufficient to clean the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap. However, we do recommend occasionally giving the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap a thorough washing with soap and water.
Filter Choice
You can use an AeroPress metal filter, paper filter or both a metal and paper filter. Never use the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap without an AeroPress filter.
Pressing Safely
Only press with your AeroPress coffee maker over a sturdy carafe or mug, with the support ring resting on the rim. Make sure your AeroPress coffee maker is stable and level on top of your carafe or mug before pressing. Make sure the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap is tightened firmly, and apply gentle, consistent pressure during use (there will be some resistance, which is normal).

Insert Aero Press filter of your choice.

Twist the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap onto the chamber very tightly.
