CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Caring for Compact Discs

• Treat the disc carefully. Handle the disc only by its edges. Never allow your fingers to come in contact with the shiny, unprinted side of the compact disc.
• Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc. to the compact disc label
• Clean the compact disc periodically with a soft, lint-free, dry cloth.
• Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners to clean the compact disc. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.
• If a compact disc skips or gets stuck on a section of the compact disc, it is probably dirty or damaged (scratched).
• When cleaning the compact disc, wipe in straight lines from the center of the compact dise to the outer edge of the compact disc. Never wipe in circular motions.
• This unit is designed to play only compact di cs bearing the ideocilic: action logo as shown here. Another disc may not conform to the D standard and may not play properly.
• Compact Discs should be stored in their ca cs after each use to avoid damage
• Do not expo. e compact disci; to direct sunlighi, high humidity, high temperatures or dust, etc, Prolonged exposure or extreme temperature can warp the disc.
• Do not tick or write anything on either ide of the disc. Sharp writing instruction. or the ink, may damage the surface.

Cleaning the Unit

• To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power source when cleaning
• The finish on your unit may be cleaned-0 with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture. Use caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic pans.
• Mild soap and a damp cloth may be used on the front panel.

LOCATIONS OF CONTROLS

Setting up the FM Antenna:
Unwind the coiled FM Antenna at the back of the CD system.

IMPORTANT:

• You may need to adjust the position of the FM Antenna when tuning the radio to receive the strongest signal.
• Never leave the antenna where it can be pulled by young children.

Connecting the speakers:
First check that the speakers are on the correct sides of the CD system, The connection tabs on the sides of the speaker must align with the slots on the sides of the CD system, Unwind the cables on the backs of the speakers.

1. Slot the end of the cable on the left speaker into the left speaker socket on the side of the CD system.
2. Slot the end of the cable on the right speaker into the right speaker socket on the side of the CD system. 

Positioning the CD system:

Separated speakers: Using this method the speakers can be separated and placed where you want them.
Attached speakers: You can attached the speakers to the sides of the CD system.

Using the stands:
There are stands on the backs of the two speakers and the CD system. These are used when the CD system is placed on a flat surface.To use the stands, simply pull the bottoms of the stands out of there housings and stand the speakers and the CD system on a flat level surface.

Attaching the speakers:

• Place a small screwdriver against the bottom edge of the attachment tabs in the sides of the speakers, push them upwards and outwards until fully extended. 
• Slot the attachment tabs on the sides of the speakers into the slots in the sides of the CD System. Push the speakers down until the speakers lock on to the sides of the CD System. 
• If you want to detach the speakers, simply push them upwards off the CD System. The attachment tabs will automatically retract back into the sides of the speakers. 

POWER SOURCE

MAIN UNIT:
Connect the small plug of supplied AC/DC Adaptor to the DC 5V Power Jack on the Left side of the unit then plug the AC/DC Adaptor to a wall outlet having AC 100-240V-; 50/60Hz.
NOTES:

1. The AC/DC Adaptor is intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical or floor mount position.

2. If the AC/DC Adaptor is disconnected or if there is a power failure, this electronic clock is designed to continue operating internally (without showing the time on the Clock Display)
   with 2 xAA battery (not included). Install the batteries as follows:

   • Open the battery door on the rear of the unit by push the catch and then lilting it.
   • Install 2 x AA battery to the battery cap. (Alkaline batteries are recommended for longer playing time.)
   • Close the battery door.

REMOTE CONTROL

• POWER: Switch the CD system ON or into the STANDBY mode.

• SOURCE: Press to select, CD BT(Bluetooth), AUX-IN or FM Radio.

• DISPLAY: Press to view the time when the CD system is turned on.

• CLOCK: Press to start setting the time on the LCD display clock. The CD system is in STANDBY mode

• SLEEP: Press to set the amount of time before the CD system turns its off.

• ALARM: Press to start setting the alarm on the CD system is in STANDBY mode

• REPEAT: Press to repeat songs when in CD mode.

• MEM-: Press to scroll through saved tracks or radio stations in FM condition.

• MEM+: Press to scroll through saved tracks or radio stations in FM condition.

• RANDOM: Press to play random tracks in CD mode.

• PROG/MEM: Press to open the Program or Memory functions.

• : While on CD Mode, Press STOP for stopping music playback and Press Play will resume from track 1
  Press STOP for Snooze when Alarm is ON

• I◄◄: Used to skip to previous audio track (CD mode only)

• ►II: Used to start or pause audio tracks (CD mode only)

• ►►I: Used to skip to next audio track (CD mode only)

• VOL-: Press to turn the volume down.

• MUTE: Press to turn the volume off and on.

• VOL+: Press to turn the volume up. 

IMPORTANT: The remote control will work within a 6m range; however, this may be impossible if there are obstacles between the unit and the control. If the remote control is used near other devices which generate infrared rays then it may not operate properly and may interfere with other devices.
For first time use:
The unit has a pre-installed lithium CR2025, battery(included), Remove the protective tab to activate the remote control battery.   To replace the remote control battery:

1. Push the switch at the side of the battery tray towards the tray (A).
2. Now slide the battery tray out of the remote control (B).
3. Remove the old battery.
4. Place a new CR2025 battery into the battery tray with the correct polarity ( +/-) as indicated.
5. Slide the battery tray back into the slot in the remote control.

Important battery inform nation:

• When the remote control is not used for a long time (more than a month), remove the battery to prevent it from leaking.
• If the batteries do leak, wipe away the leakage inside the battery compartment and replace the batteries with new ones.
• Do not use any batteries other than those specified.
• Do not heat or disassemble batteries. Never throw them in fire or water.
• Do not carry or store batteries with other metallic objects. Doing so could cause batteries to short circuit, leak or explode.
• Never recharge a battery unless it is a rechargeable type.
• Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

GENERAL OPERATION:

1. Connect the unit to AC power as previously instructed.
2. Press the POWER Button on the unit or Remote Control to turn on the unit from standby mode.
3. Press the SOURCE Button on the unit or Remote Control to switch to desired playback mode. The correspondent indicator will illuminate (or appear on the LCD Display) with your selection (see list below):

During playback, press the VOL + or VOL – Buttons on the unit (or the VOL+ or VOL – Buttons on the Remote Control) to adjust volume level as desired.

4. When finished listening, press the POWER Button on the unit or Remote Control approximate 1 second to turn the unit to standby mode.

HEADPHONE JACK:
For private listening, insert the 3.5mm plug of the earphone/headphone (not included) to the PHONE Jack on the left side of unit. The speaker will disconnect automatically.

TIME SET:

With the CD shelf system in Standby mode:

1. Press and holding the CLOCK button 3 seconds on the remote control, The “24H” display on the screen and blinking. press the II◄◄ or ►►I buttons on the unit or on the Remote Control to set “12H” or “24H”
2. Press the CLOCK button , the hour digit will be blinking. press the II◄◄ or ►►I buttons on the unit or on the Remote Control to set the hour,
3. Press the CLOCK button again and the minutes will be blinking. press the I◄◄ or ►►I buttons on the unit or on the Remote Control to set the minutes.
4. When finished, press CLOCK button on the Remote Control to save the settings, time on display will stop blinking.

ALARM SET:

To set or reset the alarm time:
With the CD system in Standby mode:

1. Press and holding the ALARM button, the display screen will lighten, The Hour digit will be blinking, press the 1:◄◄ or ►►I buttons on the unit or on the Remote Control to set the Hour,
2. Press one more time the ALARM button. the Minutes digit will be blinking, press the I ◄. ◄ or ►►I buttons on the unit or on the Remote Control to set the Minutes.
3. Press Iha ALARM button, sat alarm mode , press Iha I◄◄ or ►►I buttons on the unit or on the Remote Control to sat the alarm mode ( CD , BUZ , FM )
4. Press Iha ALARM button , set alarm volume of sound, press the I◄◄ or ►►I buttons on the unit or on Iha Remote Control to set the alarm volume of sound.
   • Please note that BUZ sound volume can”t be adjusted.
5. Press the ALARM button again, alarm clock setup complete.

Important Notes:

1. Alarm will operate when the unit is in
2. radio is selected, tune the desired radio station before activate alarm. Make sure the volume Is set to suitable le\1181. Otherwise, when Alarm goes on, no sound output from the speaker or sound weak.

Tum off alarm:
When alarm goes on, press the POWER Button on the unit or Remote Control to turn it off. Alarm will turn on again on next day. To tum off alarm completely (alarm will not turn on next day), press the Alarm Button repeatedly until the correspondence alarm indicator turned off.

Snooze:
The alarm can be temporarily turned off manually by pressing the STOP/ SNOOZE on the unit or ■ Button on Remote Control; the alarm will turn back on automatically nine (9) minutes later. This feature can be repeated until the POWER/ (Standby) Button on the unit or Remote Control was pressed.

Sleep Timer:

In the power on mode,

1. Press the SLEEP Button on the remote control to activate the sleep function, SLEEP time will appear on the display.
2. Press the SLEEP Button on the remote control repeatedly to set the sleep timer from OFF to 90-t o minutes, in 10 minutes interval.

CD:

CD Playback:

1. Open the CD door by push the CD OPEN/CLOSE tab. Place a CD disc on the center spindle, with the printed label side up.
2. Close the CD Door.
3. Power on the unit from standby mode and enter to CD (pla)back) mode as the previously instructed.·- -“will appear on the display and blink.
4. Wait a few seconds until the total number of tracks appears on the display. Then press the button on the unit or Remote Control to start playback.

Play back features:

• Selecting a track: Press the I◄◄ or ►►I buttons on the remote control or the I◄◄ or ►► I buttons on the unit to skip forwards or backwards through the tracks on the CD.
• Pausing/playing: Press the ►II on the remote control or the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause play then press again to start play.
• Stopping playback: Press the ■ button on the remote control or the STOP /SNOOZE button on the unit to stop playback.
• Random playback: Press the RANDOM button on the remote control to play the tracks in a Random order.

Repeat Playback:
During CD playback:

• Press the REPEAT button on the remote control once to repeat the song playing, The REP Indicator O will illuminate and blink.
• Press twice to repeat all tracks. The REP Indicator O will stop blinking.
• Press the REPEAT button to times is a 10-second preview of all the songs, The REP
• Indicator “INTRO” will show on the screen
• Press the REPEAT button again will turn off repeat.

Programmed Playback:

1. Once the CD has started to play, press the ■ button on the CD player.
2. Press the PROG/MEM button on the remote control.
3. Now select the track you want to play first using the I◄◄ / ► ► I buttons.
4. Press the PROG/MEM button again to confirm selection.
5. Repeat steps 1 , 2 & 3 until you have all the tracks in the order you want to listen to them in.
6. Press the ►II to play the tracks in the order you have selected.

BT (Bluetooth):
The first time you use the unit or pair it to a new Bluetooth Device, pair it as follows:

1. Power on the unit from standby mode and enter to BT {Bluetooth) mode as previously instructed. ‘bt” will appear on the display and blink.
2. Power on the external BT Device and enter to BT searching mode. Start pairing following on screen instructions from the external BT Device. After pairing, the ‘br on the display will stop blinking.
3. Play the music in the paired BT Device as usual.
4. During playback:
   • Press the Button on the unit or Remote Control to pause: press again to resume normal playback.
   • Press the I ◄◄ or ►► I Buttonsontheunitorthe I◄◄ or ►► I Buttons on the Remote Control to skip tracks.

Notes;

• When the external Bluetooth Device searched the unit, the model number ‘MM444BT” will appear on the display of external Bluetooth Device.
• Pairing code oooo· or 1234· may need to enter.

AUX-IN:
To listen to the music from an external audio device such as MP3 Player; Discman; iPods … etc as follows:

1. Connected the external audio device by an audio connection cable with 3.5mm stereo plug on both ends (Cable not included).
2. Insert one end to the AUX-IN Jack on the unit. Insert the other end to Line out Jack (or the like) of the external audio device.
3. Power on the unit by press the POWER Button.
4. Press the SOURCE Button until the AUX Indicator illuminate.
5. Play music via the external audio device and adjust the wlume on the unit, Remote Control or the external audio device.

FM Radio:

1. Power on the unit from standby mode, Press the SOURCE button on the unit or on the Remote Control to select FM Radio mode.
2. Pressing and holding the J ◄◄ or ►► I buttons on the remote control or the · TUNING+ buttons on the unit, the radio will search the station and play after finding a station.
3. Pressing the ..ii on the remote control or the PLAY/PAUSE buttons on the unit. the radio carries out automatic station search, after the search is completed, the machine automatically memorizes the station.

Radio stations pre-setting:

1. Tune the desired radio station as the prelllously procedure.

2. Press the PROG/MEM SET Button on the Remote Control, •p XX’ (XX is the current program number) will appear on the display and blinking.

3. Press the MEM • or MEM + Button on the Remote Control repeatedly to select the program number (P 01 – P 20) you went stored to. Then press the PROG/MEM SET Button on the Remote
   Control again to store it.

4. Repea1 the same procedures until ell the desired radio stations were stored into the program list.

5. After settings, press the MEM-or MEM+ Button on the unit or Button on the Remote Control to select the desired stored radio station to play.

6. once unplug the power of unit, all presetted radio station will erase and need reset again.
