INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Remove all the packing material and take out the electric kettle with the stand. Remove all possible adhesion foils, stick-on labels or paper from the appliance. Before the first use, fill the electric kettle with clean water to the maximum level, turn it on and let the water boil. Then pour out the water and repeat the procedure several times (at least five times).

APPLICATIONS
Unwind the necessary length of the power cord C2 from the storage space of the stand C. Place the stand on a suitable surface, in the height of about 85 cm, out of reach of children and incapacitated persons and plug the fork of the power cord to the electric socket (you will hear a signal sound; the display will come on, the icons will flash briefly and the current water temperature will be shown; the B1 button signal light is flashing).

Hold kettle A on the handle A2. Open the lid A3 by pressing the lock button A4. Fill the kettle with drinking water. Minimum and maximum water level is indicated by the watermark A1. Close the lid by snapping and position the kettle filled with water onto the removable base C (you will hear a signal sound; the display will come on, the icons will flash briefly and the current water temperature will be shown; the B1 button signal light is flashing). If there is no action, the temperature displayed will disappear. If the kettle remains placed on base C, the B1 button signal light will remain flashing.

A) Water heating to 100°C
Press the button B1 to automatically switch on the kettle to a temperature of 100 °C; the background colouring of the signal lights A5 will come on. By pressing the button B1 repeatedly, the kettle will switch off.

As soon as the required temperature is reached, the kettle will switch off.

B) Heating water to a temperature between 60 and 90 °C
By pressing the B1 button, the kettle will switch on automatically to a temperature of 100 °C; when you press the B2 button repeatedly, you can set the required temperature to 60, 70, 80 or 90 °C; the selection of the required temperature is indicated by the indicator light on display B4. When you select the temperature, refrain from pressing anything – heating will start automatically.

At the same time, the relevant background colour of the signal light A5 will come on. As soon as the temperature setpoint is reached, the kettle will switch off (you will hear a signal sound). When the kettle is heating, you can change the temperature setpoint by simply pressing the temperature selection button B2.

C) Heating water to a temperature between 60 and 90 °C with the KEEP WARM function (maintaining the temperature)
Press and hold the B1 button for approximately 2 seconds. When you press the B2 button repeatedly, you can set the required temperature to 60, 70, 80 or 90 °C; the selection of the required temperature is indicated by the relevant signal light on the display B4 flashing. When you select the temperature, refrain from pressing anything – heating will start automatically. When the heating process is finished, you will hear a signal sound and the kettle will keep the temperature for 2 hours.

D) Water dechlorination feature
By pressing the B1 button, the kettle will switch on automatically at a temperature of 100 °C. Press the dechlorination button B3. You will hear a signal sound again and the dechlorination process will be started (the signal light of the dechlorination button will be on). After 3 minutes of boiling, boiling will switch off automatically, you will hear a signal sound and the dechlorination process will be completed.

Please consider the following tips as examples and inspiration not intended to provide complete instructions, but just to show the possibilities of heating of various liquids. Water temperatures are only approximate and may vary according to personal taste, quantity, type, quality and age of the used tea, coffee, etc.

  • 60 °C = hot beverages,
  • 70 °C = green tea,
  • 80 °C = white tea,
  • 90 °C = oolong teas, coffee, instant drinks, soup,
  • 100 °C = black, herbal tea.

Note: To ensure maximum accuracy of the temperature set, which is lower than 100°C, we recommend heating no less than 0.7 litres of water (preferably more than 1 litre).

Always use fresh drinking water for boiling. The temperature and time heating depends on the amount of water and the initial temperature of water. For the correct temperature setting, follow the manufacturers‘ instructions that are described on food packages (e.g. tea, coffee, instant drinks, soap, etc.).

Note

  • Lifting the kettle off the stand cancels all the set functions.
  • If you set a heating temperature that is lower than the current water temperature, you will hear two signal sounds and the kettle will switch off. However, if you activate the KEEP WARM function when setting a temperature that is lower than the current temperature, the kettle will maintain the temperature at the value you have set (i.e. it will wait till the water temperature drops to this value and maintain it).

MAINTENANCE

Clean the kettle only when it is cooled down! Do not use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, scrapers, diluting agents or other solvents)! The  casingof the electric kettle is made of top-quality glass and the heating bottom is made of top-quality stainless steel, but in common use, impurities from water get stuck on them (water scale), particularly above the heating element. It is not rust or another material defect of the kettle container and the appliance is not subject to a complaint for this reason.

Cleaning the kettle
In the hard water area, it is important to do the decalcification regularly to keep the kettle in good working condition, because too much scale inside may cause the kettle fail to work.  For the best performance of your kettle, decalcify the unit from time to time. The frequency depends on the hardness of your tap water and how many times you have used the kettle. Decalcification will clean the interior of the unit.

This may be done in the following manner:
Put about 50 g of citric acid into the kettle with limescale sediment. Fill the kettle half with water and stir. After dissolving, fill it up to ¾ of the maximum amount of water. Place the kettle on the stand and turn on. Turn off the kettle before reaching boiling point, let the solution work for 10 minutes and then pour it out. Rinse the kettle thoroughly with clean water. In case of very thick sediments, you can repeat the process. Clean the kettle regularly!

Expert service must do the large maintenance or to intervene into inside parts of the appliance! Non-observance of the instructions of the manufacturer cancels the right for guarantee repair!
