GZJG LED CP DGL01 8RDE Battery Backup Garage Light

!!! ATTENTION!!! PLEASE READ***
Hold the light at the base to Install it into the light socket. DO NOT use the arms to screw the light into the socket. DO NOT over-tighten the light when installing.
Remove plastic film from the light panels before use.
When the light is in use if the power goes out, the light will change to motion sensor mode automatically. The light only illuminates when motion is detected, during a power outage, unless you use the remote to change to always on mode. (see full instructions on how to use “With Battery Power (power outage)”.
*For optimum results, never turn off the wall switch. The wall switch needs to be in the on position for the light to charge. Turning the wall switch off puts the unit into battery backup mode. When 1st screwed into a light socket, the light default setting will be in the motion sensing mode. To change the setting to always on, use the remote control and press the ON button. When the wall switch is turned to the off position, the light will automatically go into motion sensor battery back up mode, illuminating for approximately 10 seconds and shut off. It will come on again with a motion for approximately 90 seconds, and then shut off when no motion is detected. Please read below for all operating instructions.

This garage light has 4 working modes:

  1. Always on mode under AC power.
  2. Motion sensor mode under AC power.
  3. Always on mode with battery power (power outage).
  4. Motion sensor mode with battery power (power outage).

How to use the garage light With AC Power (NO power outage):
The garage light will be in OFF mode when taken out of new packaging

  1. Remove plastic film from light panels, Install the garage light into the fixture, and turn on the wall switch, and the garage light will turn on / illuminate for approximately 10 seconds and then go to auto motion sensor mode automatically (default setting).
  2. The garage light will charge while in the light fixture, while the wall switch is ON. (approximately 10 hours to fully charge, to be used in the event of a power outage.)
  3. Keep the wall switch in the on position, the light will turn off and on as motion is detected, while in motion sensor mode. To change the light to always on, press the “On Button” on the remote. To change back to the motion setting press the “Auto button” on the remote control, or turn the wall switch off for more than 2 seconds and turn it back on, this will put the unit back in the motion sensor mode setting.
  4. If the remote is lost, you can still change modes by following the instructions below.
  5. To change the garage light to always on the mode by wall switch, switch the wall switch OFF and then back ON without delay (under 1 second). The light will flash 1 time to confirm the change was successful. To change back to motion sensor (auto) mode, simply turn the light off for more than 2 seconds and turn it back on. The light will come on for approximately 10 seconds, and then turn off, going into auto motion sensor mode, with a default timer of approximately 90seconds.
  6. No matter what change was made by using the wall switch, the remote control will override all changes, by allowing you to change the working mode/brightness/ timer / turn on / off.

How to use the garage light With Battery Power (power outage):

  1. When there is a power outage the garage light will automatically change to motion sensor mode, this is to conserve battery life. If you want to change to always-on mode, use the remote control and press the “ON” button, and the battery will last approximately 2 hours in always-on mode, in the highest brightness setting–Or will light up approximately 75-80 times in 90-second increments, in the default motion (auto) mode, if fully charged.
  2. Even if the wall switch is OFF with no power outage, the light will automatically go into motion sensor battery backup mode, illuminating for approximately 10 seconds before turning off, and then will go into motion sensor battery backup mode with approximately 90 seconds on/off timer.
  3. The wall switch will not control the garage light during a power outage. The remote control can control on / off / working mode / brightness / timer. To turn off the garage light to save battery power, press the OFF button on the remote.
  4. To turn on the garage light again, press the AUTO button on the remote control, for approximately 3 seconds, to wake up the garage light. The garage light will turn on / illuminate for 10 seconds and then go to motion sensor mode and battery mode automatically (default setting).
