Precautions

Please read this manual very carefully before using the camera or installation and keep it safe for future reference. It will be helpful if you have any questions or encounter any operational problems.

Warnings
Failure to comply with safety warnings and regulations can result in serious injury or death. Please read and understand all instructions before using this product. If any damage is caused by failure to follow the instructions, the Warranty will be voided.

• Keep small accessories out of the reach of children.

• Be sure to use accessories and designated parts. Using non-designated parts may damage the equipment or cause fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

• If this product is damaged or malfunctions, stop using it immediately and consult your dealer. Continued use may cause fire, electric shock, or vehicle failure.

• If it interferes with drivin8 please do not install it. This may cause an accident.

• This product is intended to be used as reference material in the event of an accident. We do not guarantee its effectiveness as complete evidence.

• Please note that this product may infringe on privacy and other rights depending on how it is used. We are not responsible for these cases. Since this product uses a wide-angle lens, part of the image may be distorted. It also differs from the actual perspective. This is a characteristic of wide-angle lenses and is not a malfunction.

• Pay careful attention when cleaning the lens surface. Use a soft, moist cloth to clean the lens to avoid scratches that may compromise video quality.

• This product is for DC4.5V/5.3Vvehicles only.

• The specifications and appearance of this product are subject to change without notice for improvement.

• Do not expose this product to rain, moisture, or water under any circumstances or it will result in external or internal damage

• Do not try to open the cover or try to repair it yourself. If the accessories for this device have any problems, please contact the seller for assistance.

• Do not operate or install the camera while driving, or attempt to
  change any setting, etc. Pull off the road first and only do so when it is safe.

• Do not drop, puncture or disassemble this product.

• Do not use the charger if the cord is broken or damaged.

• Do not disassemble or modify this product. Otherwise, it may cause a fire, electric shock or malfunction. Some countries or USA states prohibit drivers from mounting anything on the windshield or prohibit mounting on a certain area of the windshield.

Product Overview

About the Micro SD Card

Notice: Before first-time use, you MUST format the memory card in the camera to prevent any errors and for smooth operations.

Always choose a proper micro SD card

• For Dash Cam, micro SD cards are the key accessories. Always use high-quality micro SD cards to ensure that the device can record videos reliably.
• Redtiger Smart Dash Cam F3 supports standard micro SD cards.
• Please use cards with a capacity of 16GB-128GB and a read/write speed of Class 10 and above. Before using a new card, please format it in the APP. When choosing micro SD cards, please choose those purchased through official channels. Poor quality cards may have problems such as the nominal read/write speed does not match the actual read/write speed, and the nominal capacity does not match the actual capacity.

How to use the micro SD cards correctly?
Those tips help to protect both your Dash Cam and the micro SD cards.

• Do not insert or remove the micro SD cards while the Dash Cam is on. Doing so may cause damage to the device and the micro SD cards.
• Please format the micro SD cards when it is used for the first time in the Dash Cam. Formatting the micro SD cards in other devices may cause the file partition difference and the micro SD cards to malfunction.
• In order to avoid slow reading and writing, after a micro SD cards is used for a long time, it is recommended to format it in the Dash Cam every two weeks or so. Formatting deletes all files in the micro SD cards, so please save important videos in advance.
• Avoid to use the Dash Cam in extreme temperature
• Avoid to use the Dash Cam in an extremely high temperature as this may damage the battery of the device.
• If your car still supply power to the cigarette lighter after it is stopped, when it is parked in an area that exposes it to direct sun rays in summer, please plug out the power cable of the Dash Cam toturn the device off.

Installation Tips

About electrostatic Sticker

• Since the adhesive strength is strong on both sides and it is difticult to peel otf once it is pasted, it will be troublesome if the pasting the position is incorrect.Therefore we design the electrostatic sticker to be attached to the windshield first then stick the bracket with 3M Adhesive on the electrostatic sticker. You can easily adjust the location by sticking the 3M Adhesive on the electrostatic sticker and peeling it off.
• To strengthen the fixing forced not attach the main body and leave it for 24 hours at least.
• Re-sticking may weaken the adhesive strength of the tape and cause it to fall off. If you need more accessories please CONTACT US.

CAUTION
Connect the cigar plug cord connector in the correct orientation. Connecting in the wrong direction may cause malfunction or damage. If you cannot connect successfully, check the connection part carefully before connectin8 Only use REDTIGER’s Car Charger, otherwise, the camera may frequently reboot or flicker LCD due to insufficient pot er.

Installation

Install the electrostatic sticker
Clean your windshield and put the electrostatic sticker on the recommended area as shown in the right figure. Make sure you remove air bubbles between the sticker and the glass.

Stick the camera mount to the windshield
Peel off the 3M tape attached to the GPS built-in bracket and attach it to the electrostatic sticker on the windshield. Make sure your dash cam body is parallel to the ground. Press the mount to attach it to the electrostatic sticker tightly.

Connect the USB cable to the cigarette lighter receptacle
Align the cable with the top edge of the windshield and fasten it along the passenger’s side and the glovebox as shown right.

Connect the cable to the power adapter and insert the adapter into the cigarette lighter receptacle.
NOTE
The cigarette lighter receptacle might be positioned differently in your car. The picture is provided for reference only.

Key Functions

Dash Cam only has one key, which is the power key. Different functions may be accessed by pressing the power key a different number ot times for each function.

NOTE
The dashcam will automatically turn on after it is powered on, and the shutdown is controlled by the engine or power failure.

Indicator

The indicator of the dashcam is at the back of the camera.

• After inserting an available microSD card, the Dash Cam automatically enters the recording mode each time it is turned on. A red dot flashes indicating that the video is being recorded.

About WIFI& APP

Install APP
Please use the product with the RedTiger app. To download and install the app, search for “RedTiger”in Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (i05). Or you can download the app by scanning the QR code below:

How to connect to WiFi?

1. Open the Rediger app and make sure the dash camera is being recorded.

2. Tap the “Connect” on the Camera page.

3. Select WiFi named “REDTIGER-F3_XXX”
   What kind of operations can I do on the Rediger app?

   • After connecting Wifi on the Rediger app, you can do the following operations:

PREVIEW

Preview what the Dash Cam has recorded. Tap the icon in the lower right corner for a full-screen display.

Take Photo

When the ” ” button is tapped, the Dash Cam will snap as a feedback. After the photo is taken, and the photo will be stored in the app Camera file and the SD card at the same time.

Start/ Stop Recording

When the ” button is tapped, the Dash Cam will stop recording and when the “ ” button is tapped, the dashcam will start there will be a voice prompt “Capture successed “recording.

Album

In the preview screen, you can tap the” Camera file button to enter the Camera file and view the videos in the Micro SD card. The Camera file contains the following content:

• Loop(Normal videos)
• Snashot(Photos)
• Locked(Emergency videos)

After entering the specific album list, you can view the content or download it to your mobile phone’s local album. Then you can edit your download files and share them in the APP interface.

Camera Settings-Video

In the preview screen of the app, you can tap the II Camera Settings ” icon in the upper right comer to enter the setting screen, where you can set various functions of the Dash Cam.
Here are parts of the instruction Camera Settings page:

• Speaker Volume Control

• Video resolution select (720P, 1080P, 1440P, 1600P): you can adjust the video resolution according to your needs and SD card capacity reference below:

• Loop Record Options: you can change the duration of each recording (minutes, 2Minutes, 3Minutes) by this option.

• Anti Flicker select (50Hz, 60Hz)

• Tum on & off WDR

• Video time Option, you can choose “Date ” & “Date+Model “&” off”.

• How to return the factory setting?

  1. You can do the any of the followings: Press the key on the dashcam and hold 3 seconds, there will be a voice prompt “Reset factory settings”
  2. After connecting with the dash cam on the RED TIGER app, go to “Camera Settings” to return the factory setting.

• How to format a micro SD card?
  After connecting with the dash cam on the RED TIGER app, go to “Camera Settings” to format the microSD card.

• How to set the collision sensitivity of the dash cam?
  Go to “Camera Settings”- “Collision sensitivity” to set the trigger sensitivity of the acceleration sensor which can trigger automatically emergency video saving when collision happens.

• Options include:
  High: high sensitivity. low-speed collision will also trigger automatically emergency video recording. Middle: middle sensitivity (default option). Low: Low sensitivity. Only severe collisions trigger automatically emergency video recording. Low-speed collision or light touch won’t. Off: close automatically and save the emergency video. Videos are saved in the normal video directory. Due to the difference between vehicle collision and friction conditions is very big, so do not make sure every collision is bound to trigger automatically save emergency video, so in the case of an accident, please backup exported key video to mobile phones, computers, and other media.

Can the Wi-Fi passeord of the dash cam be modified?
You can modify the dashcam Wi-Fi password in the app on your phone. After entering the app, select “Camera Settings” – “Wi-Fi password” and set a new Wi-Fi password then submit.
After modifying the dash cam’s Wi-Fi password, the phone needs to reconnect to the dash cam’s hotspot with the new password.
