How to use the baby carrier
- Use the upper newborn height. From 62~68 cm use the lower baby height. Always check that the zip is closed all the way to the end before use.
- The seat width can be adjusted with the help of two zips on the outside of the baby carrier. Open the zips enough to allow the child to move their lower legs freely. The zips can be locked in any position.
- Put on the baby carrier like a pullover sweater.
- Place the back yoke below your shoulder blades. Adjust height and width by pulling vertically and sideways.
- Buckle the waist belt at your back. It is locked when you hear a click. Tighten by pulling the straps.
- Loosen the shoulder straps by lifting the outer edge of the buckles.
- Unbutton the head support on both sides. Push button and pull upwards.
- Unfasten the safety buckle on one side. Push button and pull downwards/inwards.
- Place the child in the baby carrier facing you, with their legs on either side of the front section and their arms through the armholes.
- Fasten the safety buckle. It is locked when you hear a click.
- Lock the head support on both sides. It is locked when you hear a click.
- Adjust the head support: Press the buckle together so that you can pull it up and down like a zip to the desired position. Then tighten the head support adjustment.
- Tighten the shoulder straps. Fasten the leg straps on both sides if your child weighs less than 4.5 kg.
IMPORTANT!
A child too big to use the armholes can rest their arms above the armholes.
TIP!
If you want to carry your child higher up, lift them from underneath while you
move the waist belt higher up. Tighten the shoulder straps again.
CARRY COMFORTABLY!
How to adjust the child’s position
Slide your hands inside the baby carrier and place them under the child’s bottom and thighs. Lift the child slightly and gently fold their thighs in towards you. The child’s knees should be placed in a high position and they should be able to move their lower legs freely. Keep one hand under the child and pull the head support. Finally adjust the shoulder straps. Doing this will ensure better carrying comfort.
How to adjust the seat width
The width of the baby carrier’s seat – and thereby the child’s leg position –
can be adjusted with the help of the zips on the outside of the baby carrier.
When you carry your child in the facing-in position, you open the zips enough
to allow the child to move their lower legs freely, while keeping their knees
in a high position. The zips can be locked in any position. When you carry
your child in the facing-out position, the zips should be completely open.
When you carry your child on your back, the zips should always be completely
closed.
How to carry your child in the facing-out position
Fold down the head support. Start by gripping the buckle for head support adjustment and pulling it down as far as possible (you may need to loosen the strap if it’s too tight). Fold down the head support. Tighten the strap to keep the head support folded down. We recommend that you carry your child facing inwards in the baby carrier until they are at least 5 months old. Around that age, your child’s neck, back and hips will be strong enough for you to be able to alternate between the facing-in and facing-out positions. Max. weight for facing-out position is 12 kg.
How to remove your child
Unfasten the leg straps if they are being used. Unfasten the head support buckles. Loosen the shoulder straps and unfasten the safety buckles on one or both sides. Remove your child.
How to carry your child on your back
From 12 months of age, your child is big enough to be carried on your back. Start by placing your child in the baby carrier facing you, see Pics 1-13 on the previous pages. Make sure that the zips that adjust the seat width are completely closed. Then follow the instructions below.
- Loosen the shoulder straps by lifting the outer edge of the buckles.
- Slip your right arm upwards under the shoulder strap.
- Slip your left arm downwards under the lower part of the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap is now a closed loop around your body.
- Lift your child from underneath and carefully move them round to your back under your lifted right arm.
- Slide the shoulder straps back in place. Check that they are not twisted.
- Place the back yoke where it feels comfortable. Adjust height and width by pulling vertically and sideways. Tighten the waist belt and finally the shoulder straps by pulling backwards.
