- This appliance is intended for household use only.This appliance is not intended to be used in kitchen areas reserved for staff in shops, offices and other professional environments, farms, hotels, motels and other residential environments, and bed and breakfast type environments.
- Do not use this appliance outside. Do not expose this appliance to rain or humidity.
- This appliance is only used to toast bread. Do not toast any other type of food.
- Packaging materials (packaging paper, polystyrene) can be dangerous for children. Choking hazard! Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children!
- . This appliance can be used by children 8 years and older and by persons with physical, sensory or mental impairment, or people with no knowledge or experience as long as they are supervised or given instructions to use the appliance safely and that they understand the dangers involved.
- Children must not play with this appliance .
- Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried out by children unless they are more than 8 years old and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children under 8 years old .
- Do not leave this device unattended when it is plugged in.
- Before plugging in the appliance, make sure that your household voltage matches the voltage on the appliance’s data plate.
- To avoid any electric shock, never immerse the power cord, the plug or the toaster in water or any other liquid .
- Do not handle the appliance or the plug with wet hands
- Always unplug your appliance after every use and let it cool down before cleaning it, storing it or moving it.
- hen you unplug the cable, always pull from the plug, do not pull on the cable itself.
- When using the toaster, unroll the power cord completely from its housing to prevent the appliance from overheating.
- Do not use this appliance:
- if the power cord is damaged,
- in the event of a malfunction,
- if the appliance has been damaged in any way whatsoever,
- if it has fallen into water,
- if it has fallen. Please take it to a customer service department centre, where it will be inspected .
- The user may not perform any repairs.
- The power cord must be checked regularly to prevent any damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the customer service department or a similarly qualified person to prevent harm.
- Always use this appliance on a dry surface .
- Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or a work surface, and make sure it does not come in contact with hot surfaces .
- Keep appliance away from heat sources like radiators, to prevent plastic parts from becoming deformed.
- WARNING! The bread may burn. Ensure there is a sufficient amount of air circulating above and around the appliance. Ensure that the appliance is not in close proximity and does not come in contact with a wall, curtains, a towel or any other flammable material. The appliance must be watched while it is in use .
- WARNING! The appliance’s surfaces (especially metal parts) may become hot when in use. Risk of burns!
- Only use the toaster with the crumb tray inserted in its housing.
- The crumb tray must be cleaned regularly to prevent any risk of fire. To clean the crumb tray, slide it out of its housing located on the side of the appliance.
- Insert only plain slices of bread (without spreads like butter or jam, etc.) into the toaster. In the same way, make sure that you do not insert very thick slices of bread that can get stuck .
- Do not use abrasive cleaning products to clean the appliance .
- This toaster is not intended to be used with an external timer or a separate remote control system .
- WARNING! Never attempt to remove slices of bread or other items stuck in the toaster with a knife or any other object because any contact with live elements may cause electrocution. Let the appliance cool down and unplug it before removing the bread.
- Please turn off and unplug the appliance before leaving it unattended and before assembly, disassembly and cleaning.
- To clean surfaces in contact with food, please refer to the “Cleaning and maintenance” section at the end of this user guide.

before initial use
- Remove all packaging.
- Completely unwind the power cord and plug the toaster into a grounded wall outlet.
- Use the empty toaster (do not use bread) with the thermostat on maximum to burn any residue left in the appliance. Light smoke may be released. Make sure that the room is well-ventilated during this procedure.

WARNING!
- Danger of burns: the toaster becomes very hot when it is on. Do not touch the metallic parts of the appliance when in use.
- Always use the toaster with the crumb collection tray inserted.
- Turn the thermostat knob to the “Stop” function and unplug the appliance immediately in the event of smoke being emitted from inside the appliance.
- Wait about 30 seconds between each use to let the appliance cool down.
Toasting bread

Place the toaster on a dry, flat and solid surface.

Plug the toaster into a grounded wall outlet.

Place the slice(s) of bread in the slot(s).

Select your desired level of darkness between 1 and 6 with the thermostat knob:
- 1-2: Lightly toasted
- 3-4: Moderately toasted
- 5-6: Very toasted The toaster’s operation time increases with an increased level of darkness.

Lower the bread carriage lever completely until it locks. The toaster turns on automatically.
Note: If the power cord is not plugged in, the bread carriage lever cannot be locked. -
The toaster turns off automatically and the toast is lifted when the level of darkness is achieved.

After use, unplug the appliance from the plug and wait for it to cool down completely before storing it in a dry place.If the bread is stuck in the toaster, unplug the appliance from the power outlet, let it cool down then remove the bread. Do not attempt to remove bread that is stuck with a metal utensil if the appliance is plugged in. Make sure to not damage the mechanism’s internal elements or the heating element by removing bread that is jammed.
“Cancel” function
- Toasting can be stopped at any time by pressing the “Cancel” button. The toaster turns off automatically and the bread is lifted out.
- Do not try to raise the bread carriage lever by hand at the risk of damaging the mechanism and your toaster.
User tips
- At first use, we advise that you select level 3. Then, you will adjust the level of darkness according to different types of bread and your personal tastes.
- Select the lowest thermostat setting to get lightly golden slices of toast.
- Dry bread toasts faster than fresh bread, and thin slices of bread toast faster than thick slices of bread. Select a lower thermostat setting.
- Whole bread and bread with an uneven surface takes longer to toast. Select a higher thermostat setting.
- If you insert only one slice of bread in the toaster, select a lower thermostat setting so it does not become too dark.
- With continuous operation at the same level of darkness, bread will be more toasted at the end of use than at the start of use.
- If, after toasting, the bread does not stick out of the appliance for easier grasping, you can raise the lever slightly to lift the contents of the toaster.
cleaning and maintenance
WARNING!
- Unplug the toaster and let it cool down before cleaning it.
- Never immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid!
- Never go inside the appliance with a metal object which will lead to serious damage.
Clean inner and outer surfaces
- Clean outer surfaces of the appliance using a damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth.
- To clean inner surfaces, turn the appliance upside down and shake it over a waste bin until any stuck crumbs have fallen out.
Clean the crumb collection tray
To avoid any risk of fire, the crumb collection tray must be cleaned
regularly. Do not leave bread crumbs to collect in the bottom of the toaster:
- Remove the crumb collection tray from its housing located on the side of the appliance.
- Wipe it using a damp cloth, then dry it with a soft, dry cloth. Never place the crumb collection tray in the dishwasher!
- Empty it and slide it back into its housing
before using the toaster again.
Storage
- When the appliance is not in use and after making sure that it has cooled down after use, wrap the cord in the cord storage found under the appliance.
- Store the appliance in a dry, cool place.
