Roku Smart Light Strip SE User Guide
Before you set up
Identify where you’re going to
mount your light strip and controller.
What’s included
A Roku Smart Light Strip SE
D Adhesive clips (x10)
E Alcohol wipes (x2)
B Power adaptor
C Controller
What you’ll need
- Your smartphone
- Scissors
Let’s get started
STEP 1: Prepare mounting location
Use the included alcohol wipes to clean your desired mounting location. Allow it to dry before proceeding to the next step.
STEP 2: Mount & connect controller
Peel off the adhesive backing and mount the controller where both the front and side buttons will be easily accessible. Keeping the light strip rolled, plug the end into the controller.
STEP 3: Mount strip
Unroll the strip, peeling off the adhesive backing and pressing firmly into place as you go. Use the included adhesive clips to reinforce the controller cables and strip, particularly around corners or anywhere the strip bends.

Avoid bending where the LED is located.
Pairing your strip
STEP 1: Download the Roku Smart Home app Scan the QR code below to download
the Roku Smart
Home app on your smartphone. Sign in with your Roku account or create one.
STEP 2: Begin pairing
In the Roku Smart Home app, tap the “+” button, then “Add Device” to find
“Light Strip.” With the power adaptor plugged into the wall, ensure the strip
is
pulsing BLUE. If not, press and hold the controller’s side\ button until the
status light flashes YELLOW and BLUE.
Strip hasn’t turned on?
Double check all of the connections to make sure they’re secure.
STEP 3: Finish pairing
Follow the instructions in the Roku Smart Home app to finish pairing the light strip to your account.
What’s that light mean?
Status Light | State |

YELLOW and BLUE – Solid | In pairing mode |
BLUE – Pulsing | Connecting to Wi-Fi® |
BLUE – Solid | Light strip is on |
NO LIGHT | Light strip is off |
YELLOW – Flashing | Device is offline |
