The Remote
The Contour Remote is your all-in-one tool for changing channels, finding shows, scheduling recordings and so much more.

Power
Select a device and press Power to turn it on or off. Hold for three seconds to turn all devices on or off. -
Instant Replay
Repeat the last seven seconds of a recorded program. -
Record
Schedule a show or series to record. -
Page Up/Page Down
Jump up or down a page within lists or grids. -
Guide
View current and upcoming shows for live TV. Press again to filter listings and select a view.

On DemandSM
Access Contour’s massive library of shows and movies. -
User
Switch or manage Contour user profiles. -
Menu
Open the Contour Quick Action menu. -
Last
Jump back to the previous channel. -
Favorites
Cycle through your saved favorite channels.

Whether you’re hunting for a specific title or exploring new shows to add to your watchlist, Contour makes it easy to find just about anything you want to watch.
Searching for Shows

From any Guide View, press A on your remote.

Alternatively, use the Quick Action menu (pages 3-4).

Use the up/down arrows to select a filter criteria.

Press Right to move to the search keyboard card.

Use the arrow and select keys to enter characters into the search bar.
In the Settings menu, you can change the default keyboard setting to Triple Tap. This lets you use the number pad on your remote to cycle through letters, like you would for a 1–9 keypad on a phone. -
When your result appears, press Right to move to the Results card.

Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight a result.

Press Select. Three additional List Cards
(Summary, Action, Instructions) will appear. -
Use the arrow keys to navigate through cards/ options, or press Select to begin watching.
Using the Guide
The Contour Guide is a powerful tool to help you identify and locate your favorite programs.
Contour separates its guide function into specific Guide Views—each with its own specific use. The next few pages will explore the most useful Guide Views in greater detail.
Press Guide on your remote to pull up your default Guide View, and continue pressing to cycle through the various available views.

You can always change the display order of Guide Views within the Settings menu.
The Guide (Grid View)
The Grid View of the Contour Guide lets you see shows, channels, airtimes, program info and more, all at a glance.

Guide View Indicator
Check the current guide view.
Press Guide on your remote to change the view. -
Channel Sidebar
Find the network and channel for available programs. -
Programming Grid
View titles and broadcast times of upcoming shows.
Use the arrow keys on your remote to scroll through show titles. Your selected show will appear in the Show Display panel above. -
Current User
View the user profile currently signed into Contour.
Press the User button on your remote to view other profiles or switch the current user. -
Date/Time Header
See the day and time of upcoming shows.
Press B on your remote to see programming for another day up to two weeks in advance. -
Show Display
Learn more about the selected series or episode.
The Guide (List View)
The List View of the Contour Guide gives you enhanced control and visibility when it comes to what’s on, what’s next and what you want to see in the future.

Guide View Indicator
Check the current guide view.
Press Guide on your remote to change the view. -
Current User
View the user profile currently signed into Contour.
Press the User button on your remote to view other profiles or switch the current user. -
Carets (Directional Arrows)
See additional information or options in a given list.
Use the arrow keys on your remote to scroll through a list when a caret is displayed. -
List Card Display
Navigate through an ordered set of channels, programs, summaries, actions or instructions. List Cards are arranged from left to right into five different levels, and displayed three at a time within the List Card Display.- Use the up/down arrow keys to navigate within a card.
- Use the left/right arrow keys to move between cards.
- Press Select to choose or confirm an option.

Saving Your Recordings
Contour makes it easy to record shows, watch saved programs, change your DVR schedule and see upcoming recordings.
Recording a Show
Whether you’re looking at a title in a Guide View or currently watching the
show, Contour makes it easy to save and schedule recordings.
- Press the Record button on your remote.
- Use the arrow keys to set recording options.
- If you’re recording a series, choose between Record Entire Series or Set Manual Recording.
- Press B to confirm.
Accessing a Recording
When you’re ready to catch up on what you missed, Contour makes it easy to
access all your recordings.

Press the DVR List button on your remote.
Use the arrow keys to find the show you want to watch.
Episodes from the same series are stored in one folder. -
Press Select to confirm.
