Hints

Cooling
To achieve optimum cooling, the cool-box should be filled with pre-chilled food and/ or beverages.
With warm or non-chilled food and beverages, the cooling process will take considerably longer.

Keeping warm
Using the keep-warm function, food and beverages may be kept warm. Again, warming up cold food and beverages will take some considerable time.

12 V connection:
If the cool box is connected to a car battery, but with the engine switched off, do not allow it to over-discharge (unless there is a deep-discharge protection). With the engine running, the cool-box may be left connected for an unlimited time.

Lid
To prevent unnecessary heat loss, open the lid as little as possible and shut it again as soon as you can.

Cleaning and care

  • Before cleaning, remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has completely cooled down.
  • To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water, and do not immerse it in water.
  • Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
  • The lid is removable for easy cleaning – lift it up to about 45° and then pull it off of its hinges. Replace the lid after cleaning.
  • The lid may be wiped with a slightly moist cloth. Dry thoroughly afterwards.
  • If necessary, the cool-box may be cleaned with a moist cloth using a little mild detergent. Wipe dry afterwards.

Troubleshooting

The cool-box is connected to a 12 V power source but does not work. In addition, the electric fan is not turning. Possible causes:

  • The 12 V cigarette-lighter socket in your vehicle only works with the ignition turned on.
    • Switch on the ignition
  • The contact surfaces on the 12 V connecting plug may be dirty or corroded.
    • Clean the contacts thoroughly
