A person who has not read and understood all operating and safety instructions is not qualified to operate this appliance. All users of this appliance must read and understand this Instruction Manual before operating or cleaning this appliance.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including:

  1. Read all instructions before operating this appliance.
  2. DO NOT TOUCH the hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  3. This appliance is NOT A TOY.
  4. Unsupervised young children and cognitively challenged individuals should never operate this appliance.
  5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  6. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug or any part of this unit in water or other liquids.
  7. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before removing parts and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off any parts, and before cleaning.

Operating Safety Precautions

  1. Cooking surfaces will be HOT. Wear oven mitts while using to prevent burns.
  2. DO NOT lift the Cover so that your arm is over the Cooking Surface as it is hot and may cause injury. Lift from the side.

Instructions for the Electrical Cord and Plug

  1. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way.
    If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

  2. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled or tripping over a long cord.

  3. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

    • Extension cords can be used if care is exercised in their use.
    • The marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
    • When using a longer cord or extension cord, make sure that the cord does not drape over a countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on or tripped over unintentionally.
  4. The manufacturer does not recommend using this machine in countries that do not support 120V AC even if a voltage adapter, transformer, or converter is in use.

HOW TO OPERATE

  1. Before first use, wipe down all surfaces with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Remove all protective paper and wrapping.

  2. Find a dry, level surface near an electrical outlet.

  3. Plug in the handle by lining up the holes on the skillet and pushing in. Once it’s in, pull down the lever to lock the handle.
    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  4. Preheat the appliance by plugging into an electrical outlet. Adjust the temperature control to low.

  5. Prepare your ingredients while the appliance is preheating.

  6. Use the knob to remove the lid and set aside.
    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  7. Spray the cooking surfaces with a non-stick cooking spray or lightly coat with a small amount of vegetable oil.
    NOTE: The oil helps protect the non-stick quality of the cooking surfaces.

  8. Place food onto the cooking surface and cook according to your recipe.
    NOTE: Cooking time and temperature will vary based on the recipe and ingredients used.
    CAUTION: Steam may release from appliance during cooking.
    For your safety, avoid contact with steam as it is very hot and can cause burns.

  9. Once food is cooked to your preference, remove food using a heat resistant nylon, silicone or wooden cooking utensil.
    NOTE: Do not use metal utensils, as they may scratch and damage the cooking surfaces.

  10. If cooking more than one food item in a session, be sure to keep the lid on between batches to maintain the proper cooking temperature.

  11. As soon as you are finished cooking, turn off and unplug appliance and allow to cool.

Smoking

  • During first use, you may notice slight smoking or a slight odor; this is normal with most new appliances. The smoking and odor is caused by the residues burning off the non-stick cooking plates. Allow the appliance to preheat until smoke and odor no longer exists.

Non-stick Cooking Plates

  • For each use, it is recommended that you coat the cooking plates with a non-stick cooking spray or with a small amount of vegetable oil. This will help preserve the longevity of your appliance.
  • Only use heat-resistant nylon, silicone or wooden utensils when operating this unit. Metal utensils can scratch or damage the non-stick cooking plates.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Please take care of your SKILLET by following these simple cleaning directions.

  • Disconnect appliance from the electrical outlet and allow to cool completely.
  • Using a damp, soapy, non-abrasive cloth, wipe down the exterior or the appliance, as well as the skillet pan and lower cooking surfaces. Thoroughly rinse the cloth and wipe again. Dry with a clean cloth.
  • DO NOT put any parts in a dishwasher.
  • NEVER immerse appliance or electrical cord in water

RECIPES

You can make a variety of mouth-watering recipes with your SKILLET! This quick cooking appliance makes delicious breakfast skillets, stir fry, and soups – even ramen noodles! Be creative with your meals and enjoy your SKILLET!!

BREAKFAST SKILLET

  • 2 large eggs: Preheat the appliance as directed.
  • 2 sausage links: Cut sausage into small pieces, add to skillet pan and cook thoroughly.
  • 1/4 cup potatoes o’brien with onions and peppers: Add potatoes to skillet pan and cook until done, then add mushrooms to skillet and cook thoroughly.
  • 1/4 cup mushrooms, diced: In a small bowl, whisk eggs and pour into skillet pan. Sprinkle 1/8 cup of cheese onto eggs. Allow eggs to cook.
  • 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded: Just before serving, sprinkle last of the cheese onto the eggs and allow to melt.
    Serve immediately.

SESAME GARLIC RAMEN NOODLES

  • 1 (3 oz.) package of ramen noodles, seasoning packet discarded: Preheat the appliance as directed.
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil: Cook ramen noodles without seasoning packet in skillet pan as directed on package. Drain and set aside.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced: Heat sesame oil in the skillet pan, add garlic and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • 1/8 cup soy sauce: Remove skillet pan from heat and whisk in the soy sauce, brown sugar and sriracha until combined.
  • 1/2 tsp. brown sugar: Toss the noodles in the sauce. Garnish with green onion, if desired.
  • 1 tsp. sriracha:
  • green onions, optional: Serve immediately.

CHICKEN STIR FRY

  • 1/2 cup chicken stock: Preheat the appliance as directed.

  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken stock, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, honey and crushed red pepper, black pepper and cornstarch. Set aside.

  • 1 clove garlic, minced: In skillet pan, heat 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Add chicken and stir fry until thoroughly cooked. Transfer to a plate.

  • 1 tsp. sesame oil:

  • 1 tsp. honey:

  • pinch of crushed red pepper: in the skillet pan, heat 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Add peppers, broccoli. and carrots. Cook until crisp-tender.

  • fresh ground black pepper: Stir the chicken stock mixture into the
    vegetables and cook until thickened. Stir in the
    chicken and cook until heated through.

  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch:

  • 1/2 of a small chicken breast, chopped into 1/2-in. pieces: Season with additional soy sauce, if desired. Finish with a squeeze of lemon.

  • 1/2 bell pepper, chopped into 1-in. long strips:

  • 3/4 cu

  • p broccoli florets, chopped: Serve immediately.

HARD-BOILED EGGS

  • 4 large eggs: Preheat the appliance as directed.
  • 3/4 cup water: Carefully set eggs into skillet pan and add water. Place lid onto skillet pan and allow to cook for 14 minutes.
    When eggs are cooked carefully remove the lid and transfer eggs to a bowl. Cover with ice water by 1 inch and allow eggs to cool for about 10 minutes.
    Peel eggs and enjoy!

HUEVOS RANCHEROS

  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil: To make sauce:
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped: (Sauce can be made 2-3 days ahead of time; rewarm prior to using).
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced: Heat vegetable oil in medium sauce pan on stovetop. Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened and fragrant. Add tomatoes and their juices along with oregano, chipotle, and salt. Add 1/4 cup chicken broth and simmer for 5 minutes. Let cook slightly, then transfer to a blender and blend until smooth.
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano.
  • 1/2 tsp. ground chipotle: To make huevos rancheros:
  • 1/2 tsp. ground chipotle: Return saucepan to medium heat (no need to wash it out). Add refried beans and remaining 1/4 cup chicken broth and stir until smooth and warmed through.
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt:
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth, divided: Preheat the appliance as directed.
  • 4 (41/2 to 5 in.) flour tortillas: Once skillet is preheated, carefully press a tortilla into the bottom of the skillet pan. Spread 1/4 cup refried beans onto the tortilla, making a small “well” in the center to hold the egg. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup shredded cheese, and top with a few tablespoons of sauce.
  • 11/2 cups Mexican blend shredded cheese: Gently crack one egg into the center well of the skillet pan. Cook until egg white are starting to turn opaque; yolks will still be jiggly.
  • 4 large eggs:
  • 1 avocado, sliced, for topping: Sprinkle an additional tablespoon or two of cheese around the yolk, then allow to cook until cheese is melted and egg is cooked to desired doneness.
  • Coarsely chopped fresh cilantro, for topping: Carefully slide tortilla from bottom of skillet with a thin spatula onto a plate.
    Repeat 3 more times.
    Top each with sliced avocado and cilantro. Serve warm with additional sauce.

Nostalgia Products LLC (the “Company”) hereby warrants that for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase, this product will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal home use, provided that the product is operated and maintained in accordance with the operating instructions. As the sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty, the Company will at its discretion either repair or replace the product found to be defective, or issue a refund on the product during the warranty period. This warranty is only available to the original retail purchaser of the product from the date of initial retail purchase, and is only valid with the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase date is required to obtain warranty benefits. All warranty claims must be brought to the attention of the Company within the warranty period and no later than 30 days of the failure to perform. This warranty does not cover normal wear or damage caused by shipping, mishandling, misuse, accident, alteration, improper replacement parts, or other than ordinary household use. You may be required to return the product (with shipping prepaid by you) for inspection and evaluation. Return shipping costs are not refundable.
