Introduction

Welcome to the User Guide for LIVALL smart helmets. This guide will help you better use the product’s smart features, including Bluetooth intercom, walkie- talkie by APP, smart lighting, patented fall detection and SOS alert, etc. As we continuously improve our products, this guide will be updated from time to time. You can access the latest version and learn more about the helmet on our website, www.livall.com

Wearing Instructions

Please note that no helmet can protect the user against all possible and foreseeable impacts. To ensure your comfort and maximum helmet protection, choose a helmet that matches your head shape and size.

  1. To ensure the best fit, please choose the helmet size by measuring your head circumference or by trying it on. The helmet should be comfortable, without any deviation or hindrance to your movement. If the helmet is not suitable, please return or exchange it.
  2. For the first use, please gently remove any protective film (if included) on the visor, open the strap buckle, clean both the inner and outer surfaces, and pay special attention to eliminating any protrusions. Wipe the helmet clean and place it in a well-ventilated area to dry.
  3. Open or close the air holes before use accordingly.
  4. To wear the helmet correctly, please take off the glasses (if you are wearing them), gently lift the visor. Separate the buckle and put the helmet on the head from top to bottom. Slightly rotate to ensure a comfortable and snug fit. Adjust the strap to the appropriate position and fasten it securely, and pull down the visor to adjust it to the appropriate position.
  5. Always fasten the strap when using the helmet.
  6. Please handle the helmet gently and avoid collision as much as possible. Do not hit the helmet against hard surfaces.

Operating Instructions

Power on

  • Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds, the helmet will prompt “power on” and the tail light will turn on, indicating that the helmet is turned on normally.

Note

  • If the helmet cannot be activated successfully, please charge it and try again.

Power off

  • Press and hold the power button until all the LED tail light turns off.

Battery Status

  • The remaining battery level of the helmet is indicated by the number of light beads in the middle of the tail light when the helmet is powered on.
  • A fully charged helmet will have all the light beads illuminated.
Connect to the Remote Controller BR60

Connect to the Remote Controller BR60 (if included)

First-time connecting to BR60

  • Turn on the BR60 and place it within 30cm of the helmet for automatic connection
  • When the connection is successful, the helmet will emit a confirmation sound.

Connecting to a new BR60 (When the original BR60 is lost or damaged)

  • Turn on the new BR60 and place it near the helmet. The warning light on the helmet will flash three times per second to indicate that the new BR60 is ready to be connected to the helmet.
  • Press the power button on the helmet within 10s to confirm the connection to the new BR60.

NOTE:

  • After the remote controller (BR60) is connected successfully, the yellow lights on both sides of the front warning light will illuminate when the remote controller button is pressed.
  • The helmet mainly requires the use of the left ( ) and right ( + ) buttons on the remote control(BR60);
  • Please use the remote controller (BR60) included in the package or the one with the BR60 label on the packaging sticker.

Instructions for Remote Controller(BR60)

  • Confirm Key: Press the key to play or pause music, and to answer or hang up incoming calls. Press and hold the confirm key to reject incoming calls.
  • Triple click the confirm key to activate the phone’s voice assistant service.
  • ” + ” Key: Tap this key to increase the volume. Press and hold the key to play the next song.
  • ” – ” Key: Tap this key to decrease the volume. Press and hold the key to play the previous song.
  • “video/ ” Key: Tap this key to start recording videos. Press and hold the key to talk to the group (this feature is used with the app and can be modified).

Automatic Standby

  • The helmet will automatically enter sleep mode (power-saving) if it remains still without shaking for a while after being turned on. The tail light will turn off to indicate successful activation of the sleep mode.

Automatic Wake Up

  • Connect to the“LIVALL Riding”app and enable the “Auto Power On” function. Gently shake the helmet a few times to automatically wake up the helmet. The tail light will light up to indicate a successful wake-up.
  • Adaptive Warning Lights (default on, can be turned off through the APP)
  • The helmet has a built-in light sensor. When the lighting is good, only the middle taillight will flash, and the other lights will automatically turn off.
  • In the dark or dim environment, the entire row of taillights will automatically turn on and flash according to the previously set lighting mode.

Lighting Mode

  • Users can switch between different flashing modes of the taillight by short-pressing the power button at the back of the helemt or by connecting to the APP.

Brake Warning Light

  • When the helmet detects a significant deceleration, the taillight will light up for a few seconds to warn the vehicles behind.
  • Note: When the helmet shakes too heavy, the built-in sensor may also detect obvious deceleration and trigger the warning light to stay on. This is normal.

Connect to the Phone Bluetooth

  • When helmet is powered off, press and hold the button at the back of the product until you hear “Pairing”.
  • Switch on Bluetooth of your phone and search for the “LIVALL MC1(xxxx) ” device.
  • Click to connect. A voice prompt “Connected” will be heard from the speakers when the connection is completed.

Connect to the LIVALL Riding APP

  1. Install the LIVALL Riding app from the app store;
  2. Turn on the helmet and the bluetooth on your phone. Place the helmet close to your phone;
  3. Open the LIVALL Riding app and click “Device”,”Helmet” for pairing. After a successful connection, the “Helmet” section in the app will display”Bling Helmet”.

Tips

  • To ensure a stable connection during the ride, please place the phone close to the front of your helemt and body.
  • You can place your phone in a phone holder or keep it in your crossbody bag.

Patented Fall Detection & SOS Alert (Requires connection to the LIVALL Riding APP)

  • The helmet has a built-in fall detection sensor which can send a signal to the LIVALL Riding APP via Bluetooth when a fall is detected. Then the APP will send an SOS message to a pre-set emergency contact.

Tips

  • The SOS alert feature and LED light indicators will only work if the helmet is successfully connected to the LIVALL App.

Walkie-Talkie

  • Open the App and go to “Group”– “Create /Join Team”. Follow the prompts in the APP to complete the team formation.
  • When you need to talk, press and hold the “ ***** ” button on the BR60 to talk.

Tips

  • There is no distance limit if the network is stable.

Voice Command

After both connections are established (the bling remote controller is connected to the smart helmet and the helmet is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth), triple click the “Confirm” button on the bling remote controller to activate the smartphone’s voice assistant service.

Bluetooth Intercom Team

Helmet-to-Helmet

Method 1: Pairing multiple helmets through the “LIVALL Riding” App

Initiate an intercom team (Helmet A):

  • Connect Helmet A to the “LIVALL Riding” App. Open the App and go to “Device”– “Bling Helmet”– “Bluetooth Intercom” — “Create Team” –“MC1”–“Searching the next helmet”.
  • This indicates that Helmet A has entered the search mode. Please follow the instructions on the app to connect.

Join the intercom team (Helmet B、C、D…):

  • Connect Helmet B to the the “LIVALL Riding” App. Open the App and go to “Device”– “Bling Helmet”– “Bluetooth Intercom” — “Join Team” –“Waiting for connection”. This indicates that Helmet B has entered the pairing mode. Please follow the instructions on the app to connect.
  • If you need to pair other helmets (Helmet C, D …), please repeat step 2.

Successful Pairing

  • After the helmets are successfully paired, the LED light on the side touch panel of Helmet A will turn off. The LED light on the side touch panel of Helmet B will continue to flash rapidly, indicating that Helmet B is searching for nearby helmets.
  • If there are no other helmets, the LED light on the side touch panel of Helmet B will flash rapidly for a short period of time before automatically turning off. This indicates that the helmet group intercom team has been established and you can start intercom communication.

Method 2: Pairing multiple helmets through helmet buttons

Initiate an intercom team (Helmet A):

  • After turning on Helmet A, press and hold the power button of the helmet and at the same time press the LED light on the side touch panel of the helmet. The LED light on the side touch panel will start flashing intermittently, and there will be a soft voice prompt indicating that Helmet A has entered pairing mode.
  • Press and hold the LED light on the side touch panel of Helmet A again for about 4 seconds. The LED light on the side touch panel will start flashing rapidly, and there will be a soft voice prompt indicating that Helmet A has entered search mode and is automatically searching for nearby helmets.

Join the intercom team (Helmet B、C、D…):

  • After turning on Helmet B, press and hold the power button of the helmet and at the same time press the LED light on the side touch panel of the helmet. The LED light on the side touch panel will start flashing intermittently, V and there will be a soft voice prompt indicating that Helmet B has entered pairing mode.
  • If you need to pair other team member helmets (Helmet C, D …), repeat step 2 for other members.

Successful Pairing

  • After the helmets are successfully paired, the LeD light on the side touch panel of Helmet A will turn off. The LED light on the side touch panel of Helmet B will continue to flash rapidly, indicating that Helmet B is searching for nearby helmets.
  • If there are no other helmets, the LED light on the side touch panel of Helmet B will flash rapidly for a short period of time before automatically turning off. This indicates that the helmet group intercom team has been established and you can start intercom communication.

Charge

  • Lift the soft rubber lid with the” “symbol to reveal the charging port.
  • Connect the magnetic USB charging port to the helmet’s charging port.
  • The power indicator light will turn on, indicating that the helmet is charging. The light will turn off when the charging is complete.
Video Recording

Video Recording (MC1 PRO Only)

Start recording

  1. Turn on the helmet and connect with the BR60 remote controller.
  2. Tap the video button on the remote controller, the camera will automatically turn on, and the prompt will sound to indicate the start of video recording. The blue light next to the camera blinks to indicate that it is recording. There will be a repeated beep before the end; when the beep stops, the recording is completed and the device enters the standby state.
  3. Tap the video button on the BR60 again to start recording again.

Note

  • You can set video-related parameters by connecting to the APP. For more operations, refer to the APP prompts.

View the video

  1. Connect the charging cable to the helmet, and connect the USB end to a computer or a mobile phone. Then tap the power button on the helmet.
  2. Wait for a while. The red power indicator next to the power button will flash quickly, indicating that it has entered the U disk mode, and the computer or mobile phone can view and read the video files in the U disk at this time.

Precautions

  1. The helmet contains electronic parts inside which are splash-proof. It is advised not to ride in rainy environments for extended periods of time.
  2. After exposure to rainfall, water droplets may accumulate inside the tail warning light cover. It is recommended to place the helmet in a ventilated environment for 1-2 days to allow the water droplets to dissipate automatically.
  3. The helmet contains a battery which can be affected by temperature changes. When used in low-temperature or sub-zero environments, the product’s endurance time may be reduced to varying degrees.
  4. In the event of electronic function failure or abnormality, it is recommended to charge the helmet for 3 hours before attempting to use it again.
  5. The helmet is equipped with an impact detection device. Please connect the helmet to the “LIVALL Riding” App to enable the function. In the event of a serious impact, the helmet will send an SOS message to the emergency contact set in the App.
  6. Do not use metal or hard tools to clean the golden contacts of the charging interface, such as blades, forceps, etc. If cleaning is required, use a cotton swab and clean water or alcohol to wipe it.
  7. The built-in battery of the product is strictly prohibited from disassembly, squeezing, heating, or burning. It is strictly prohibited to pierce or pry the battery with sharp objects or screwdrivers, which may cause the battery to catch fire or burn.
  8. Please do not place the helmet with sharp objects to avoid damage to the helmet.

Note:

  1. The product is a non-professional rescue device and may fail to send or receive SOS information due to network abnormalities or other problems.
  2. To maintain the battery life, it is recommended to fully charge the helmet before storing it for a long time (half a year to a year). When charging, ensure that the charging port is clean and dry.

Electronic Functions Troubleshooting

In the event of the following abnormal functions during use, please charge the helmet according to the charging duration in the User Guide for each model(the helmet can be reset during charging). If the problems persists, please contact the after- sales service center. (After-sales email: [email protected])

Malfunction Examples:

  1. Unable to charge or turn on normally.
  2. Abnormal or non-functional lights and other features when turned on.
  3. The helmets shuts down unexpectedly after a short period of use.

Warning Instructions

  1. No helmet can guarantee that users will be free from all potential and foreseeable injuries. Wearing a helmet correctly can effectively reduce injuries and provide maximum protection.
  2. The chin strap must be securely fastened when using the helmet.
  3. Do not modify the helmet in any way. Any modification may weaken the helmet’s protective capabilities.
  4. Do not attach or place anything to the shell as labels,solvents, etc.
  5. Only use neutral detergent and water for cleaning.
  6. If the helmet is severely impacted, please return it to the manufacturer for inspection or destroy and replace it. The helmet is designed to absorb and disperse impact force in an accident. The shell and liner may be partially damaged in an accident, even if the damage may not be visible.
  7. The helmet must allow adequate peripheral vision. Colored visors or face shields should not be worn in low visibility conditions or at night.
  8. The normal service life of the helmet is three years.
  9. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
