DANGER
Never operate this appliance unattended. If a fire should occur, keep away
from the appliance and immediately call your fire department. Do not attempt
to extinguish an oil or a grease fire with water.
If you smell gas
- Shut off the gas to the appliance.
- Extinguish any open flame.
- If the odor continues, keep away from the appliance and immediately call your gas supplier or your fire department.
- Failure to follow these instructions could result in fire, explosion, or burn hazards which could cause property damage, personal injury, or death.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, burn hazard, or other injury, read this guide carefully and completely before using this appliance.
- Before cleaning, make sure the gas supply is disconnected, the control knob is turned off, and the burner and oven have cooled.
- FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY. This appliance must be used only outdoors, and must not be used in a building, garage, or any other enclosed area.
- Keep the gas supply hose away from any heated surface.
- Keep children and pets away from the appliance at all times.
- Do not move the appliance when in use.
- This appliance is not intended for and should never be used as a heater.
- Spiders and insects can nest inside the burner of the appliance and disrupt the gas flow. inspect the burner at least once a year.
- When using a match to light the appliance, make sure to use the included matchstick holder.
- Do not store this appliance indoors unless the gas tank is disconnected.
- Do not store gas tanks in a building, garage, or any other enclosed area, and keep them out of reach of children at all times.
- This appliance is not intended to be installed in or on recreational vehicles or boats.
- Check all gas supply fittings for leaks before each use. Do not use the appliance until all connections have been checked and do not leak.
- Do not smoke while leak testing. Never leak test with an open flame.
- When lighting, keep your face and hands as far away from the appliance as possible.
- Minimum clearance from the sides of the unit to any flammable construction is 36” (91.4 CM). Minimum clearance from the back of the unit to any flammable construction is 36” (91.4 CM).
- This pizza oven must not be used on or under any apartment or condominium balcony or deck.
- You must clean and inspect the hose before each use of the appliance. If there is evidence of abrasion, wear, cuts, or leaks, the hose must be replaced before the appliance is put into operation. The replacement hose assembly must be the one specified by the manufacturer.
- The appliance must not be located or used under overhead unprotected combustible construction materials or surfaces. The minimum clearance around this appliance shall be at least 36” (91.4 CM) from any structure or inflammable material.
- The appliance is not intended for commercial use.
PRODUCT COMPONENTS
ASSEMBLY
Before assembly, make sure all parts are present. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the appliance.

Connect a gas hose to a pizza oven.
NOTE: The hose connection to the pizza oven has been preset at the factory. -
Connect a hose to a 20 lb (9 kg) propane tank.
WARNING:- Always keep the gas tank in an upright position.
- If the appliance is not in use, the gas tank valve must be turned off.
- The tank used must include a collar to protect the tank valve.

The minimum distance for the appliance and the 20 lb (9 kg) gas tank is 3’ 3’’ (1 M) apart.
- Both the tank valve and the appliance burner valve must be turned off before connecting. This gas filling is threaded clockwise. Make sure that the tank is completely switched off and tighten the regulator as far as possible into the gas tank valve.
BEFORE USE
inspect the gas supply hose before turning on the gas. If there is evidence of a cut, wear, or abrasion, it must be replaced before use. Screw the regulator onto the gas tank. Perform a leak check on the hose and regulator connections with a soap and water solution before lighting the appliance. Only the pressure regulator and gas hose assembly supplied with this appliance should be used.
WARNING
LIQUID PROPANE GAS TANK
- Do not store any spare liquid propane gas tank under or near this appliance.
- Never fill the tank beyond 80% capacity.
- The liquid propane tank must be filled with an overfill protection device (OPD).
- If the information above is not followed exactly, a fire resulting in death or serious injury may occur.
- This appliance’s installation must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, either the Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code, CSA B149.1, or the Propane Storage and Handling Code, CSA B 149.2.
SAFETY PRACTICES TO AVOID INJURY
When properly cared for, your oven will provide safe, reliable service for
many years. However, extreme care must be taken as the oven produces intense
heat that can increase the risk of accidents. When using this oven, basic
practices must be followed, including but not limited to the following:
- Do not repair or replace any part of the oven unless specifically recommended in this guide. All other services should be referred to a qualified technician.
- Children should not be left alone or unattended in an area where the oven is being used. Do not allow children to sit, stand, or play around the oven at any time.
- Never let clothing or other flammables come in contact with or too close to any burner or hot surface until it has cooled. The fabric could ignite, causing serious personal injury.
- For personal safety, wear proper apparel. Loose-fitting garments or sleeves should never be worn while using the oven. Some synthetic fabrics are highly flammable and should not be worn while cooking.
- Do not heat unopened food containers as a build-up of pressure may cause the containers to burst. When lighting the burner, always pay close attention to what you are doing.
- When using the oven, do not touch the outer shell, stone baking board, or immediate surroundings as these areas become extremely hot and could cause burns.
- Do not use the oven to cook extremely fatty meats or other products which increases flare-ups.
- Keep the area surrounding the oven free from combustible material including fluids, trash, and vapors such as gasoline or charcoal lighter fluid.
- Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air.
- Never use the oven in extremely windy conditions.
- The temperature under the oven is high. Do not place the oven on a table covered with a flammable or plastic tablecloth or any other inflammable materials.
CONNECTING THE PROPANE
GAS TANK
- Turn the tank valve off.
- Make sure the burner’s control knob is turned off.
- Inspect the valve connections, port, and regulator assembly. Remove debris and inspect the hose for damage.
- When connecting the regulator assembly to the valve, use your hand to tighten the nut clockwise until it stops. Using a wrench to tighten could damage the quick coupling nut and result in a hazardous situation.
- Open the tank valve fully by turning it counterclockwise.
- Before lighting the oven, use a soap and water solution to check all connections for leaks.
- If a leak is found, turn off the tank valve, and use the oven until the authorized technician can make repairs.
DISCONNECTING THE PROPANE
GAS TANK
- Turn off the oven burner valve and make sure the oven is cool.
- Turn off the liquid propane tank valve by turning it clockwise until it stops.
- Detach the regulator assembly from the tank valve by turning the quick coupling nut counterclockwise.
- Place a dust cap on the tank valve outlet whenever the tank is not in use.
NOTE
- The liquid propane gas supply tank to be used must be constructed and marked according to the specifications for a propane-gas tank of Standard for Cylinders, Spheres, and Tubes for Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Commission, CAN/CSA-B339.
- The tank supply system must be arranged for vapor withdrawal.
LEAK TESTING
Although the gas connections of the appliance are leak-tested before packing
and shipment, a complete test must be performed at the installation site.
Before each use, check all the gas connections to make sure they are leak-
tight using the procedure below. If the smell of gas is detected at any time,
you should immediately stop using the appliance and check the entire system
for leaks.
BEFORE TESTING
Make sure all packing material has been removed from the appliance. Make a
solution of one part liquid detergent and one part water. You will need a
spray bole, brush, or rag to apply the solution to the filings.
TO TEST
- Turn the burner valve off.
- Open the liquid propane tank valve by turning it counterclockwise.
- Apply the soap solution to all gas fittings. Soap bubbles will appear where a leak is present.
- If a leak is present, immediately turn off the gas supply and tighten leaky filings.
- Turn the gas back on and recheck.
- Should the gas continue to leak from any of the filings, turn off the gas supply and stop using the appliance immediately.
USING THE OVEN
The burner is rated at 14,500 BTU/hr.
To begin
- Make sure the oven has been leak-tested and properly placed.
- Remove any remaining packing material.
- Light the burner following the LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS.
- Preheat at a high temperature for 15 minutes.
- Flour your peel generously before putting the pizza on it.
- Turn the temperature down to medium before inserting your pizza.
- Rotate your pizza every 15 to 30 seconds using the peel to ensure it cooks evenly.
- Cook for 1 or 2 minutes or until the crust is perfect.
LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS
- Before use, please make sure the control knob is in the off position ( ). Then, push the control knob and slowly turn the knob anticlockwise to the high position ( ) for 5 seconds until you hear a click and the burner ignites (A).
- You can adjust the fire from high to low by slowly turning the control knob anticlockwise (B).
- To turn off your pizza oven, turn the control knob to the high position ( ), then push the knob and turn clockwise to the off position ( ) (C).
TO LIGHT WITH A MATCH
- If the burner will not light after several attempts using the control knob, the burner may be lit with a match.
- If you have already attempted to light the burner using the control knob, wait a few minutes to allow the gas to dissipate.
- insert a match into the matchstick holder, ignite the match, and insert it through the oven opening to the burner.
- Push and turn slowly the control knob, the burner should ignite immediately.
- If the burner does not light within seconds, turn off the control knob and wait for 5 minutes and try again.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Store pizza oven out of direct sunlight and indoors where possible, and when
storing for extended periods. The pizza oven should not be exposed to harsh
weather conditions such as snow, heavy rain, and strong winds. Wait for the
pizza oven to cool completely before moving.
Pizza Baking Stone
- Do not use the stone over an open flame.
- Avoid extreme temperature changes to the stone. Do not place frozen foods on a hot stone.
- Handle the stone with care as it is fragile and can break if bumped or dropped.
- The stone is very hot during use and will stay hot for a long time after use.
- Do not cool the stone with water when it is still hot.
- Wait for the stone to be completely cool before cleaning it. After cleaning the stone with water, dry the stone before the next use. This can be done in a conventional oven at 140°F (60°C) for 2 hours.
Maintenance
- Keep appliance area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline, and other flammable vapors and liquids.
- Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air.
- Keep the ventilation openings of the tank enclosure free and clear from debris.
- Check the burner flame regularly.
- Clean appliances, including special surfaces, with recommended cleaning agents, if necessary.
- Check and clean burner tubes for insects and insect nests. A clogged tube can lead to a fire beneath the appliance.
TROUBLESHOOTING
ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
NOVELCA offers a limited warranty for this product (hereafter: the “Product”) for one (1) year from the date of purchase of this product, with the conditions set out below. This limited warranty is valid only for the original purchaser of the Product and it may not be transferred. The present limited warranty is not meant to exclude, restrict, limit, or modify the legal warranty given by law to the purchaser of the Product.
If the Product contains a manufacturing defect or if one or more parts of the Product are defective, the retailer commits to replace or repair, at its sole discretion, the defective part or parts without charge under the following cumulative conditions: 1) the purchaser must contact the retail store where the Product was purchased; 2) the purchaser must return the defective part or parts or the Product to the retailer; 3) the purchaser must provide the retailer the invoice as proof of purchase and date of purchase of the Product; 4) the purchaser must supply the Product identification information, including the serial number or the model number; and 5) the period of one (1) year covered by this limited warranty must not be expired. If the retailer decides to replace the defective part or parts, the replacement part or parts would be new or reconditioned, equivalent to new parts. The present limited warranty does not create any other obligation with the provider of the guarantee than those explicitly described above.
This limited warranty is not applicable: 1) to consumable parts; 2) to normal wear; 3) when the Product is used for other purposes than what is described in the user guide (if any); 4) when the serial number or other identification information of the Product is erased or withdrawn; 5) to damages that are only aesthetic and do not affect the normal use of the Product; 6) when the damages, defects, faults, or other problems arise from: a) an inadequate maintenance of the Product; b) a faulty installation or assembly of the Product or an installation or assembly that is not by the user or installation guide (if one is provided); c) a modification, a repair or dismantling of the Product by a person not authorized by the retailer or the manufacturer; d) the transportation by the purchaser, his employee, officer, or representative; e) negligence by the purchaser, his employee, officer or representative; f) an accident; g) a case of force majeure or any event that is not caused by the Product itself.
FRENCH VERSION VS ENGLISH VERSION
In case of discrepancy between the French and the English versions of the text
of this limited warranty, the French version shall prevail.
