About Find My Passport
Important Safety Information
Please read the safety information before use.
Use Find My Passport with care. This Find My Passport wallet contains a
battery pack, which will last up to 3 years.
Important: Contact your local waste management authority for battery
disposal regulations in your area. If the battery pack is broken and the inner
cell is swallowed and ingested, it can cause severe internal burns within two
hours and result in seri-ous injury or even death. Seeking medical attention
immediately if you think the inner cell might have been swallowed or placed
inside any part of the body.
WARNING
- Do not attempt to disassemble the battery pack.
- Do not expose the Find My Passport to a direct heat source. Do not expose the Find My Passport to any mechanical stress or impact.
- Do not bend the battery pack.
- Keep the Find My Passport away from the sharp object. Keep the battery pack away from children.
Use with Apple Find My App ( iOS Users Only )
- An iPhone, iPod touch with iOS 14.5 or later, or iPad with iPadOS 14.5 or later, and two-factor authentication turned on.
- The latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS is recommended.
- Find My enabled.
- Bluetooth turned on.
- Wi-Fi or Cellular connection is strong.
- Location Services turned on: Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
Power On/Off
- Press the Function Button once (1) to power it on, it will play a chord tone chime indicating it is powered on.
- Press and hold the Function Button for at least three (3) seconds to power it off, and it will play two beeps indicating it is powered off.
Add Find My Passport to Your Device
- Place your Find My Passport next to your device.
- Press the Function Button twice (2) to ready to connect, one beep will be heard.
- Open the Find My™ App, tap “+” then tap “Add Other Item”.
- Once your Find My Passport is discovered, tap “Connect”.
- Tap “Agree”to allow the Find My Passport link to your Apple ID.
- Tap “Finish” to complete the connection.
If you need to connect your Find My Passport to a new device, remove the connection from the current device first.
Locate Your Find My Passport
- Tap “Play Sound” to make it play beep and flash when it’s nearby.
- Tap “Directions” to navigate to it’s last unseen location when it’s far away.
Enable “Notification”
- Enable the “Notify When Found” toggle under “Notifications”, when your Find My Passport is seen by another Find My network, you will receive a notification of its location.
- Enable the “Notify When Left Behind” toggle under “Notifications”,
- you will receive a notification when you leave your Find My Passport behind and it’s out of range of your device.
Rename Find My Passport
- Tap “Rename Item”, select a name from the list or select Custom Name.
- Type your custom name and select an Emoji that you’d like to, tap “Done”.
Remove Find My Passport
- Tap “Remove Item”, and follow the onscreen instructions to remove.
- Once removed, your Find My Passport will emit a chord-tone melody.
Reset Find My Passport
- After successfully removing your Find My Passport from the Find My app, press the Function Button four (4) times rapidly, then hold it a fifth time until you hear a chord tone chime.
- The Find My Passport is now reset successfully, and ready to be paired to a new Apple ID.
Anti-Stalking Feature
If another’s Find My Passport is mixed with your belongings, it will be
detected with you when they are out of range from their owner, and your Find
My App will send a notification to your Apple device, tap the Detected item
and tap “Play Sound” to find it. This feature is available on iOS, iPadOS 14.5
or later.
Options of placing passport
There are 3 ways to place your passport on the left and right Passport Pocket, please choose the way you prefer.
