BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
- Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
- Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V~ 50/60Hz).
- When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This smell is only temporary and will soon fade.
USE
- Plug in the socket, the red indication light will light up. Leave the device closed without any content to preheat. When the green indication light goes on you will be able to start grilling.
- Slightly grease the anti-stick coating of the grill plates with oil or butter.
The Tristar Multi Grill has an adjustable thermostat so that you can grill all types of products. Large or thick products are not flattened and all products are evenly cooked.
- Turn the adjustable thermostat to the desired setting.
- Use a low setting to grill vegetables.
- Use a medium setting to grill fish.
- Use a high setting to grill meat and make toasted sandwiches.
- Now place the prepared ingredients on the bottom grill plate and close the grill by pressing the handle downwards. The upper plate tilts in order to provide even pressure. The normal preparation time is 5-8 minutes; the exact time depends on the dish, the set temperature, and your personal taste. Because the device is closed the baking process is faster.
- The device can also be opened at 180 °and be used as an open flat grill for grilling meat, fish, and vegetable dishes.
- To use as an open grill, open the latch to the side of the handle and flip the lid backward.
- The drip tray will collect any excess grease or fat released while grilling.
- During use, the device will become very hot, avoid any contact as it can seriously injure you.
- Always unplug the device and let it cool down completely after use and before cleaning.
- Use the safety lock to lock the lid of the grill so that it can be easily moved and stored either vertically or horizontally.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Remove the plug from the wall outlet and allow the device to cool both halves open.
- Clean the baking plates with a damp cloth or soft brush.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the appliance.
- Never immerse the electrical appliance in water or any other liquid. The appliance is not dishwasher proof.
ENVIRONMENT
This appliance should not be put into the domestic garbage at the end of its
durability, but must be offered at a central point for the recycling of
electric and electronic domestic appliances. This symbol on the appliance,
instruction manual and packaging puts your attention to this important issue.
