Product Usage Instructions

Choosing the Right Blind
To choose the right blind for your window, follow these steps

  1. Consider the style and material type that suits your preferences.
  2. Refer to the provided options of blind types, blind styles, head rail, setting, hardware, fabric type for Rollers, and lining types for Romans.
  3. Select the appropriate options based on your preferences and requirements.

Blind Style
The blind style determines how the blind hangs or rolls. Choose between Stacked (hangs in tight folds) or Cascade (hangs in loose folds) for Roman blinds. For Roller blinds, choose between Roller (rolls out to open and close).

Blind Head Rail
The blind head rail refers to the top part of the blind that supports and guides its movement. The available option is Cassette Classic.

Blind Lining
The blind lining affects the light filtering and insulation properties of the blind. Choose from the following options

  • Poly Cotton : Gently filters out light
  • Premium Satin : Gently filters out light
  • Blackout : Heavyweight lining that prevents light from passing through the blind
  • Bonded Blackout: Adds luxury and insulation with an extra layer between the blind fabric and the lining

Blind Setting
The blind setting refers to how the blind is fitted in relation to the window recess. Choose between Exact (blind fitted outside the recess) or Recess (blind fitted inside the recess).

Blind Material
The blind material determines the visual appearance and functionality of the blind. Choose from the following options

  • Translucent: Diffuses sunlight
  • Blackout: Prevents light from passing through the blind and darkens the room
  • Waterproof : Moisture resistant

Measuring your blinds

MEASURING TIPS

TTOOLS REQUIRED : Metal Measuring Tape, Pen & Paper

  1. Record measurements in mm, star t with the width first and then the drop.
  2. Measurements must be exact. We will make the necessary allowances for a correct fit.
  3. Re-check your measurements to check accuracy.

RECESSRECESS

  1. STEP 1. Measure at 3 horizontal points shown in (fig 1).

  2. STEP 2. Measure at 3 ver tical points shown in (fig 2).

  3. STEP 3. Record the smallest dimensions as the recess size (e.g. in fig 1 your width will be 918mm and your drop measurement 993mm in fig 2).

NOTE : We will make the appropriate adjustments to make sure the blind fits perfectly in the recess. Please note that this includes a deduction of up to 10–12mm on the width and drop entered. Blinds are also measured bracket to bracket (the fabric will be up to 35mm narrower than the tube to accommodate the control chain). This means there will be a total deduction of up to 45–47mm to achieve the fabric width for a recess fitting.

EXACT

  1. STEP 1. Decide where you want to fit the blinds on your wall, then measure at 3 horizontal, points shown in (fig 3).
  2. STEP 2. Measure at 3 ver tical points shown in (fig 3).
  3. STEP 3. Record the largest dimensions for each side. (E.g. in fig 3 your width will be 925mm and drop measurement 999mm).

NOTE : Blinds are measured bracket to bracket (please note that the fabric will be 35mm narrower than the tube to accommodate the control chain).

SQUARE BAY WINDOWS (FOLLOW THE STEP BY STEP GUIDE)

  1. STEP 1. Find the head rail depth of your chosen blind in the chart below

  2. STEP 2. Measure the central window measurement (A) from left to right and deduct the head rail depth twice from this measurement E.g. for Roller classic deduct 128mm from measurement (A).

  3. STE P 3 . Measure sides (B and C) into the back corners of the bay. This will be the width of the rail.

  4. STE P 4 . Deduct the head rail depth off measurement (B and C). E.g. for Roller classic, deduct 64mm from each measurement.

  5. STE P 5 . For the drop, measure from where you want the top of the blind to be, to where you want it to finish.

  6. STE P 6 . Order all blinds as an exact measurement. E.g. To the nearest whole mm.

NOTE : If the window handles protrude, take the measurement of the projection and add to each measurement A, B and C (if applicable).

TI P : For both the width and drop measurements, measure in three places for each window. For the width, measure top, middle and bottom. For the drop measure left, middle and right. Your window might not be even, so always give us the smallest measurement

Helpful tips

ROMAN B L IND

  1. Roman blinds can be dry cleaned, just remove all horizontal rods and the bottom bar before dry cleaning.
  2. Roman blinds may have creasing/pressure marks due to the packaging process these should disappear over time.
  3. If any creases do not fall out over time we recommend using a steamer to ensure your Roman Blinds look their best. Be cautious not to use excessive pressure as this may distor t the fabric.

ROL L ER B L IND

  1. All Roller blind material can be gently sponge cleaned.
  2. Roller blinds are the perfect choice for kitchens and bathrooms as they are  available in our waterproof finish which is moisture resistant.
