Product Usage Instructions
Surface Ceiling & Wall Mounting
- Use a screwdriver to open the front cover and connect the battery connector.
- Feed the AC supply wires through the canopy center hole and crossbar center hole.
- Assemble the canopy onto the main body assembly using the supplied PM4*40 screws and make proper wire connections.
- Make electrical connections inside the junction box and cap all unused leads to prevent shorting.
- Attach the crossbar to the junction box using screws if needed.
- Tighten the canopy to the crossbar using the supplied PM4*15 screws.
- Gently insert the EXIT panel into the main body assembly, ensuring the EXIT letter direction is correct.
Surface End Mounting
- Use a screwdriver to open the front cover and connect the battery connector.
- Remove the hole plug from the mounting end cap.
- Pull out the AC supply wires and feed them through the center hole of the mounting end cap and center hole of the crossbar.
- Assemble the canopy onto the main body assembly using the supplied PM4*15 screws and make proper wire connections.
- Make electrical connections inside the junction box and cap all unused leads to prevent shorting.
- Attach the crossbar to the junction box using screws if needed.
- Tighten the canopy to the crossbar using the supplied PM4*40 screws.
- Gently insert the EXIT panel into the main body assembly, ensuring the EXIT letter direction is correct.
- Refer to the Chevron Placement section for further instructions.
Recessed Ceiling Mounting
- Use a screwdriver to open the front cover and connect the battery connector. Remove the test switch and LED indicator and set them aside for use later.
- Feed the AC supply wires through the canopy center hole.
- Remove one PB3*12 screw from the top of both left and right end caps.
- Remove the junction box cover and mount the junction box caseon the enclosure using two TM4*8 screws. Feed the AC supply wire into the junction box.
- Attach the hanger bar brackets using two PB315 screws and two TM48 screws. Attach the hanger bars to the hanger bar brackets using four TM4*8 screws.
- Adjust the height of the recessed kits vertically using the adjusting slots and then tighten all screws on the adjusting slots and hanger bar bracket.
- Make electrical connections inside the junction box and cap all unused leads to prevent shorting.
- Connect the test switch connector and LED indicator cables via connectors.
- Secure the trim plate using the provided screws.
- Gently insert the EXIT panel into the main body assembly, ensuring the EXIT letter direction is correct.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Surface Ceiling & Wall Mounting

Use screwdriver to open front cover to connect battery connector.

Feed AC supply wires through canopy center hole and crossbar center hole.

Assemble canopy onto main body assembly with (2) PM4*40 screws (supplied) and make proper wire connections.

Electrical connections should be made inside junction box. Cap all unused leads to prevent shorting.
- For 120VAC connect the black and white wires to the building utility.
- For 277VAC connect the orange and white wires to the building utility.

Attach crossbar to junction box, using screws if needed. (Screws not provided)

Use (2) PM4*15 screws (supplied) to tighten canopy to crossbar.

Insert EXIT panel into main body assembly gently. If EXIT panel is for single face, make sure EXIT letter direction is correct.
Note: Refer to Chevron Placement section.
- The EXIT panel may rotate any angle with 180° total movement.
Surface End Mounting
- Use screwdriver to open front cover to connect battery connector.
- Remove the hole plug from mounting end cap.
- Pull out AC supply wires and feed wires through the center hole of mounting end cap and center hold of cross bar.
- Assemble canopy onto main body assembly with (2) PM4*15 screws (supplied) and make proper wire connections.

Electrical connections should be made inside junction box. Cap all unused leads to prevent shorting.
- For 120VAC connect the black and white wires to the building utility.
- For 277VAC connect the orange and white wires to the building utility.

Use (2) PM4*40 screws (supplied) to tighten canopy to crossbar.

Recessed Ceilling Mounting
- Use Screwdriver to open front cover to connect battery connector. Remove test switch and LED indicator and set aside for use at step 8.
- Feed AC supply wires through canopy center hole.
- Remove (1) PB3*12 screw from top of left and right end caps.
- Remove junction box cover and mount junction box case on enclosure, use (2) TM48 screws. Feed AC supply wire into junction box. Attach hanger bar brackets using (2) PB315 and (2) TM48 screws. Attach hanger bars to hanger bar brackets using (4) TM48 screws.

Position hanger bar bracket and hangers bar between joists. Make sure hangers bar are oriented in the correct position, then secure permanently with nails. Hangers bar should be level with bottom of joists.

Adjust height of recessed kits vertically using adjusting slots and then tighten all screws on adjusting slots and hanger bar bracket.

Electrical connections should be made inside junction box. Cap all unused leads to prevent shorting.
- For 120VAC connect the black and white wires to the building utility.
- For 277VAC connect the orange and white wires to the building utility.

Connect test switch connector and LED indicator cables via connectors.

Secure trimplate by using provided screws.

Insert EXIT panel into main body assembly gently. If EXIT panel is for single face, make sure EXIT letter direction is correct.
Note: Refer to Chevron Placement section.
- The EXIT panel may rotate any angle with 180° total movement.
Recessed Wall Mounting
- Reference 1-16 steps in recessed ceiling mounting for recessed wall mounting.
- Recessed ceiling mounting rotated 90° becomes recessed wall mounting.
Chevron Placement
- If chevron is needed remove only the instruction film.
- If no chevron is needed, remove both the instuction film and chevron together.
