Safety precautions
CAUTION!
To prevent the risk of fire or electrical damage, do not expose the device to
moisture or rain. Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or heat! Please
do not open the device!
Keep the packaging material, such as plastic foils, away from children. Danger
of asphyxiation by misuse
Disposal of electrical appliances by consumers in private households within
the EU
At the end of its lifetime, do not throw the device away with the normal
household waste. Ask about the options for environmentally sound disposal at
the local authorities, at recycling centers, or where you purchased the
device.
This product complies with applicable EU regulations.
PRODUCT ANSTRUCTION
Preliminary operations
Unpack the unit and all accessories. Please keep the packaging for future use when transporting the device
Place the belt (2), Platter (3) and Felt mat in position.
Connecting the power supply
The delivered power supply will be connected to the socket (12). The power supply, corresponding to the voltageindicatior on the nameplate, has to be plugged into a power supply plug either with 230 V /5 0 Hz or 115 V / 60H z on the primary side.
Connection to amplifier or receiver
Connect the audio cable to the phono-input of the amplifier or receiver (red or black RCA-type plug = right channel (10), white RCA-type plug = left channel (9).
Connect one side of the ground-wire to the ground socket (11) on the device and the other end to the amplifier.
Balancing the tonearm and setting the tracking and antiskating force –
for example Quintet Red
- Remove the needle protector.
- Set tracking force (4) to 0 and switch off the antiskating device (5) by turning counter clockwise up to the stop.
- Turn the counterweight (3) on to the tonearm.
- Balance the tonearm precisely by turning the counterbalance- ce. Thetonearmisbalancedpreciselywhentipivotsfreely.
- Set the required tracking force for the cartridge by turning the dial (4).
The tracking force for cartridges Oroton Quintet Red = 23 MN = dial position 2.3.
Set Antiskating to 2.3 as well.

Height adjustment oft tonearm
The entire tonearm assembly can be adjusted in height. By loosening the set screw (8) you can move the tone arm in height. Then tighten the set screw again
Manuel start, speed selection 33/45/78, tone arm lift
With the speed selector (7), the corresponding speeds 33 / 45 / 78 can be set. With this button the device is also started.
- Remove stylus cover and move lift lever (6) forward.
- Now position the tone arm over lead-in groove of the record and push the lift lever back. The tonearm is now lowered slowly, thus preventing damage to your records.
- The tone arm can be raisedat a n yposition, also for brief interruptions when playing. For this, slide the lift lever forward. The platter continues to rotate in this case.
Switch off
When the record is played completely, slide the lift lever forward. The tonearm is raised.
Now run back the tone arm by hand on the arm rest and slide the lift lever 5 to the rear.
If the speed selector (7) is turned to „0″, the device is switched off.
