Thank you for purchasing the Terrawagen Mercedes-Benz Sprinter grab handle kit.
Required tool list
- Electric drill
- Small hammer
- Center punch
- Rivet tool
- Drill bits: 9mm and 1/8” ( rivet hole )
- Nutsert / Rivnut tool ( an M6x1x35 bolt kit is included )
- 10mm wrench
- 13mm wrench
- 30T torx bit screw driver

Step 1.
Test fit handle to inside door. The handle is form fitted to reside in the lower curve of the window recess. You will know it’s in the right place when the lower section of the handle just clears the mirror access plug ( black plug on door frame.)
Step 2.
Once you have determined the correct placement of the handle, use a pen to mark the location of the screws on the door frame. Center punch your marks.
Step 3.
Drill the holes for the rivnut / nutsert using your 9mm / drill bit.
Step 4.
Insert the tapered end of the nutsert into the hole you just drilled and use
hammer to gently tap the nutsert until it is flush with the door frame.
Thread supplied M6 bolt into the nutsert tool and screw it into the nutsert.
Use the 13mm wrench to hold the nutsert tool, while tightening bolt with the
10mm wrench. Tighten until nutsert has deformed and resistance makes it hard
to tighten any further. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! The M6 bolt could break.
Step 5.
Using supplied mounting screws, mount handle to door frame. Tighten screws.
Step 6.
Using the 1/8” drill bit, drill the holes for the rivets. Once drilled, use rivet tool to install rivets in the holes you drilled.
