The TERRAWAGEN VANAGON – TRANSPORTER FENDER FLARE KIT TWFK-003 is designed for late model Vanagon and Transporter vehicles with large fiberglass bumpers. This kit includes front and rear flares that can be modified to fit your specific van. The flares are made from durable material and are intended to enhance the appearance and protection of your vehicle.
Product Usage Instructions
Front Modifications
- Check if you have the factory plastic air dam in place. If so, only minor trimming is required at the very bottom of the front door flares.
- Locate the rear sections of the front flare (2 small parts) with score marks on the inside. These lines serve as a cutting guide.
- Using tin snips, cut the part along the marked line as your initial cut. Fine-tuning will be necessary to ensure a proper fit for your specific van, as bumper fits may vary.
- To achieve a better fit around the cladding, gently file the part using a file or a Dremel tool with a drum sander bit. Experiment with fitting until desired fitment is achieved.
Rear Modifications
- Similar to the front flares, the rear flares also have witness marks on the inside to indicate where trimming is required.
- Using tin snips, cut along the marked line without going past it.
- Use a file or a Dremel tool with a drum sander attachment to fine-tune the fit until the flare can be securely screwed in place.
