INSTALLATION GUIDE

ASSEMBLING THE AIR SPRING

REMOVING THE JOUNCE BUMPER AND INSTALLING THE UPPER BRACKET

STEP 1. Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame, and the air spring assemblies can be put into position between the leaf spring and frame.
STEP 2. Remove the jounce bumpers from the frame and discard it.

STEP 3. Placing the two hex flange bolts into the jounce bumper holes. On the driver’s side, make sure the hard brake line is between the two upper bracket supports.

NOTE:
Maybe you need to pull out the harness bracket from the frame on some models.

STEP4. Install the upper brac ket to the frame and tighten it with the hexagon flange nut ( 20 of the Air spring bag ki t list)

NOTE:
The brake line must not contact or rub against the upper bracket.

PLACING THE ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLING THE UPPER BRACKET
STEP 1. Push the axle up so that the upper mounting bracket 1 of the Air spring bag kit list) can be bolted to the frame with the hex-cap screws ( 11 ) of the Air spring bag kit list).

INSTALLING THE LOWER BRACKET (2500HD MODEL)
STEP 1. On 2500HD models, there may be a small bracket with a nut on the driver’s (left) side of the axle, but no other wiring harness will be linked.
The bracket must be removed.
STEP 2. Install the hex-cap screw bolt into the center hole on the end of the lower bracket. Attach the nut with a nylon lock nut.

STEP 3. If the bolt heads on the lower bracket contact the axle, you will need to file or grind the top shock bracket to get the required clearance, so the bracket rests flat on the axle

NOTE: if the bolt head does not contact the axle tube, the shock mount will need to be filed or ground down to create space for the lower bracket to fit flat on the axle.

INSTALLING THE LOWER BRACKETS (3500HD MODEL)

STEP 1. Install the lower bracket shaft support block ( 4 of the Air spring bag kit list) to the lower bracket ( 2 of the Air spring bag kit list) and secure it securely.

STEP 2. For the driver (left) side, secure the emergency brake cable bracket ( 5 of the Air spring bag kit list) to the lower bracket ( 2 of the Air spring bag kit list).

NOTE:
The passenger’s (right) side spacer attaches the same way, but does not require the brake line bracket.
STEP 3. Install the lower brack et to the bumper impact plate and place the bolt ( 9 of the Air spring bag kit list) into the lower bracket

NOTE :
The legs on the lower bracket should be facing downwards .
STEP 4. Adjust the assembly so that the air spring is perpendicu lar to the bottom and top mounting brackets without twisting.
STEP 5. Install the axle strap ( 6 of the Air spring bag kit list) onto the axle. And connected to the lower bracket .

NOTE:

The installation methods of 3500D model and 2500HD model are the same.

INSTALLINGTHEHEATSHIELD (PASSENGER’S SIDE ONLY)

STEP 1. Install the heat shield to the exhaust port where it is closest to the passenger’s side air spring.

NOTE :
Must slide the air fine thermal sleeve over the qir line near the exhaust port.

INSTALLING THE AIR LINES

STEP 1. Cut the air line appropriately and push the hose into the fitting then pull back and make sure it’s locked in place

STEP 2 Install the inflation valve in a selected location, usually on the license at of plate the rear the vehicle.

CHECK AIRTIGHTNESS

• Put some air into the air spring bag, then spray a soapy solution on all connections and valves while checking for exiting air bubbles.
