PRE-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

• This product will not increase the load capacity of your vehicle.
• Do not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended weight limit.
• The installation process may require drilling, professional installation is recommended to ensure personal safety.
• All modifications must be installed by qualified personnel and in compliance with your local modification regulations.

INSTALLATION GUIDE

ASSEMBLINGTHEA IRSPRING

REMOVING THE JOUNCE BUMPER AND INSTALLING THE UPPER BRACKET

• STEP 1
  Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame, and the air spring assemblies can be put into position between the leaf spring and frame. Remove the rear wheels.

• STEP 2
  Unbolt and remove the jounce bumper. Keep the jounce bumper just removed.

• STEP 3
  Set the U-bolts (6 of the Air spring bag kit list) on the frame. U-bolts are located on the inside of the frame, between all wiring harnesses and the frame.

NOTE:
Do not pinch the brake line between the U bolt and the frame.

• STEP 4
  Install the driver side upper mounting bracket (1 of the Air spring bag kit list) to the frame with U-bolts.

NOTE:
The passenger side is installed in the same way as the driver side.

• STEP 5
  The outer edge of the jounce bumper needs to be ground.

• STEP 6
  Install the jounce bumper to the upper bracket with a hex bolt (8 of the Air spring bag kit list) and a washer (16 of the Air spring bag kit list).

PLACING THE ASSEMBLY ON THE LEAF SPRING

STEP 1
Place the assembly on the leaf spring.

INSTALLING THE UPPER BRACKET

• STEP 1
  Adjust the assembly so that the air spring is perpendicular to the bottom and top mounting brackets without twisting.

• STEP 2
  Attach the lower mounting bracket (3 of the Air spring bag kit list) to the leaf spring with the U-bolt (7 of the Air spring bag kit list), then tighten the nuts. The passenger’s side is the same way.

INSTALLING THE AIR LINES

• STEP 1
  Cut the air line appropriately and push the hose into the fitting, then pull back and make sure it’s locked in place.

• STEP 2
  Install the inflation valve in a selected location, usually on the license plate at the rear of the vehicle.

CHECK AIR TIGHTNESS

Put some air into the air spring bag, then spray a soapy solution on all connections and valves while checking for exiting air bubbles.
