Safety
Before using the torch, ensure you follow these safety guidelines:
- Wear eye protection and protective clothing.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and work practices.
- Handle butane gas with care as it is extremely flammable.
- Avoid pointing the torch towards the eyes and body during ignition and operation.
- Always close the gas controller knob firmly after use.
- Do not puncture the cartridge or dispose of it in a fire.
- Avoid operating the torch when fatigued or under the influence of substances.
- Use clamps or a vice to secure the workpiece, not your hands.
- Check for any damaged or missing parts before operation.
- Avoid touching hot surfaces and allow them to cool before handling.
- Do not leave the torch unattended during operation.
- Operate the torch continuously for no longer than one hour.
- Keep the torch out of reach of children and store it safely.
Introduction
The torch components include a burner tube, piezo electronic ignition, gas controller knob, connector, and gas cartridge.
Assembly
- Ensure the control knob is turned off before assembling.
- Keep the gas cartridge upright while fitting it to thetorch.
- Screw the cartridge into the torch carefully to avoid cross-threading, without overtightening to prevent damage.
Operation
- Shake the gas cylinder for a few moments before use.

- WARNING! Always wear approved eye or face protection when operating the torch.
- WARNING! Butane gas is extremely flammable. Handle with care.
- WARNING! Always point the torch away from the eyes and body when igniting and during operation.
- WARNING! Ensure the gas controller knob is firmly closed and the flame is completely extinguished after use.
- WARNING! DO NOT puncture the cartridge or dispose of it in a fire.
- DO NOT operate the torch when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
- DO NOT hold the workpiece by hand. Use clamps or a vice (not included) to secure the workpiece.
- DO NOT operate the torch if any parts are damaged or missing as this may cause failure and/or possible personal injury.
- DO NOT touch the workpiece close to the heated area as it will be very hot. Allow to cool.
- DO NOT touch the burner tube during or immediately after use as it will be very hot. Allow to cool.
- DO NOT leave the torch operating unattended.
- DO NOT use this torch continuously for longer than one hour.
- DO NOT allow children to operate the torch.
- Disconnect the gas cartridge when not in use. Store the cartridge away from direct sunlight in a safe, dry, childproof area, where the temperature will not exceed 40oC (104oF).
- After use, allow the torch to cool before storing it.
IMPORTANT! Observe cautions on the gas cartridge label.
INTRODUCTION
Compact, high-capacity burner head with push-button piezoelectric ignition. 1750°C Adjustable burner flame size gives wide application possibilities. Ideal for occasional plumbing tasks where space may be limited. Accepts standard Butane self-sealing cartridges (not included).
ASSEMBLY
- Ensure that the control knob is turned off (fully clockwise) before assembling.
- Keep the gas cartridge upright when fitting to the torch.
- Position the torch valve over the cartridge valve and carefully screw the cartridge into the torch until it meets the O-ring of the torch valve – take care to avoid cross-threading.
- WARNING! DO NOT overtighten as this can damage the cartridge valve.
OPERATION

Shake the gas cylinder for a few moments.

Turn the control knob anti-clockwise for 1/2 turn. The gas should now be “hissing” from the burner tube. Make sure to point the torch away from yourself and others, and press the ignition button.

Adjust the flame by turning the control knob either clockwise (-) or anti-clockwise (+).
NOTE: The recommended flame length is 10-20mm. -
To extinguish the torch, turn the control knob fully clockwise. Once the torch has cooled, unscrew the cartridge for storage.

In cold conditions, it is advisable to pre-warm the cartridge to room temperature before operation.
WARNING! Heat the cartridge gently. DO NOT use a heat source attaining temperatures above 40oC (104oF).
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools,
accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and
disposed of in a manner that is compatible with the environment. When the
product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any
fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and
fluids according to local regulations.
