HOW TO USE YOUR ERGO DYNE CHILL-ITSPHASE CHANGE COOLING VEST AND PACKS
The Chill-Its® Phase Change Cooling Packs maintain a 64° F / 18° C
(6215/6230/6220/6260/6250) temperature for cooling the body. You can recharge
the cooling pack as follows: cooler of ice water – 10 minutes; freezer – 15
minutes; refrigerator – 25 minutes; near an air conditioner – 1 to 2 hours.
Place the recharged cooling pack in the vest pockets. The vest carriers
(models 6215/6215HV) are made of a modacrylic cotton blend fabric that
provides flame-resistant properties and meets the requirements of ASTMF1506;
classified to NFPA (CAT1). Hook and loop closures adjust at the shoulders and
around the body for a comfortable fit.
CARE: The cooling pack should be washed by hand with a mild detergent and
warm water. Dry with a paper towel or cloth. DO NOT machine wash or machine
dry. The fabric vest carrier is machine washable with mild soap; line dry.
WARNINGS: Chill-Its® Phase Change Cooling Vests are tough and resilient,
but they should never be used in place of protective gear. In the unlikely
event that a cooling pack leaks, do not ingest the liquid. In case of
accidental ingestion, contact a physician immediately. DO NOT induce vomiting.
If the liquid comes in contact with the eyes, flush your eyes with water for
15 minutes. In case of fire, extinguish with a dry chemical or foam. The
cooling pack plastic, if exposed to temperatures above 200°F / 93°C, may catch
on fire. The liquid in the cooling pack will boil at 286°F / 141°C. Dispose of
the cooling pack using a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and
scrubber.
