• Panic PIN: Being in an emergency situation without having the ability to notify anyone is a real thing, which is why we created a panic PIN. If activated, when your PIN code is entered backwards, your emergency contact will be notified of your situation so they can act as needed.

• High-Security Lock: Collaborating with EVVA, a top-tier lock manufacturer, we ensured your valuables are protected by one of the most advanced mechanical locking systems available.

Getting Started

Unpacking and Placement
Before you begin, please be careful when trying to carry the safe out of the box. The safe is heavy, and the front screen can break if you drop the safe.
Finally, let’s begin your safe journey by carefully unboxing The Space Safe, and ensuring all components are present.

Initial Setup and Connection

1. Place your safe in a strategic location to achieve optimal camera coverage and accessibility. Don’t forget to make sure your door opens properly at this location.
2. Power up your safe by using plugging the included USB-C into a power outlet. (Please only use the included USB-C and power adapter).
3.  Once power is connected, the device and screen will automatically turn on. The owner is required to be in front of the device at this point to begin the initial setup. Please follow the interactive detailed instructions on the touchscreen of the device. The guided setup should take about 10 minutes per user profile.
4. For the best experience, please connect your safe to WiFi, and then connect that safe to The Space App (our mobile app), by following the prompts on the safe’s screen.

Important and Key things to take note of:

1. When activated, Lockdown mode displays an alarming message on your device’s screen notifying whoever is looking at the screen that the “GPS is active and the police are on their way.” Please note, that this is a faux screen just to scare an intruder and we do not monitor your device in any way, nor do we notify the police. You can read more about this on our terms of service at sp.toys/tos and in our privacy policy at sp.toys/pp.
   • If lockdown mode is enabled from the safe, the alarm will sound.
   • If lockdown mode was enabled from the mobile app, the alarm will not sound.
   • If you want to sound the alarm, you can do so from the mobile app.
2. For security purposes, during setup, the safe has an inactivity timeout of 30 minutes. Meaning if no one touches the screen for 30 minutes and if the setup has not been completed, the setup will timeout and the safe will reset. If the timeout happens on a secondary user setup, the first user will be completed and the safe will be setup, however, the secondary user will not be enrolled. Administrators can add new users at any time by clicking the “settings” on the bottom right of the safes screen.
3. By using our product, you are accepting our terms of service and privacy policy.
4. Neither SPACE, nor the authorities have a way of remotely accessing your safe. If you forget your PIN, we cannot help you.
5. If you do not pay the subscription for video recordings, you cannot review past recordings.

Using Your Space Safe

Accessing Your Safe After Setup

• Access your safe with your fingerprint or by using your personalized PIN code on the display.
• If you setup 2FA with an authenticator, please save your backup codes. If you lose them, we cannot help you regain access to your device.
• If you forget your PIN and you activated PIN recovery, you can recover it from the login screen. This can be done once every 24 hours.
• Extend temporary access to guests through the mobile app, or streamline a guests stay with Airbnb Mode.

Multi-User Management

• Accommodate your family or trusted individuals by having up to 4 users per device; each having their unique PIN code or fingerprint and their own mobile app profiles.
• Empower users by enrolling up to 5 fingerprints per user with our round fingerprint reader.

• We recommend connecting to WiFi to ensure regular software updates are delivered remotely to the safe, guaranteeing your safe remains up-to-date and secure. Of course, WiFi connectivity is not required to use the safe.
