NORMAL OPERATION
PLEASE NOTE: The operating duration depends on the surrounding environment. In
drier areas, it may work slower, while in high-humidity conditions, it will
draw water faster. The unit’s performance is tailored to its environment, and
it’s been rigorously tested to perform as designed. Factors such as the
humidity level, area size, and room temperature will all depend on how long it
takes to draw out the correct moisture. The rate at which water is collected
in the tank depends on factors such as room temperature, the size of the room,
and the source of humidity. It is a known fact that at low room temperature,
the extraction rate is also low. The higher the humidity, the better the
result.
If the unit is not drawing water or at a slow rate it’s highly likely that the
environment it is being used is not humid enough for the product to draw
water. This is not a product fault. If you are unsure or have any questions at
all please do not hesitate to get in touch with one of the GMC technical team
on 012-661-1173 or www.gmcaircon.co.za
COVERAGE AREA
Please remember that this dehumidifier is designed for spaces up to 12m2 and
will not work well in areas outside of this coverage area. We have designed
and tested this product for this size area, and rest assured that when used
correctly, it will work as designed. If you require a larger-capacity
dehumidifier, then please consider looking at the GMC range of dehumidifiers
(www.gmcaircon.co.za/products/dehumidifiers/)
or contacting one of our technical team members, who will be more than happy
to help.
CONTINOUS DRAINAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Turn off the dehumidifier, take out the water tank; you will see there is a water drain hole. Insert the water pipe into the drain hole and then insert the water tank back into the dehumidifier.
Place the other end of the water pipe into a washbasin, bucket, etc. Turn on the dehumidifier again. The dehumidifier will collect the water, and it will flow through the pipe into the washbasin, etc.
Warning
- Please do not block the drain or drain pipe, if the drain pipe is blocked the water will flow back into the water tank.
- Please do not bend the drain pipe. The height of the drain pipe should be lower than the outlet so gravity can allow the correct flow of water.
- The drain pipe shall be securely connected to the outlet.
EMOVABLE WATER TANK When the water tank reaches its maximum capacity, the dehumidifier will automatically stop, and the ‘Red’ LED will illuminate. To remove the water tank, first switch off the mini dehumidifier by pressing the ‘ON/OFF’ button to the ‘OFF’ position.
